Today I got a 30 minute back and foot massage for $50. Amy, the masseuse was very sweet and did a good job with massaging my back, but I didnt get much done on my feet, which was where most of my pain was situated. However, the pain in my back is gone for the most part. As soon as I entered I was greeted by a nice elderly man who took me to the massage room. After he left I got ready for my massage and laid down on the table. While I was waiting for 15 minutes I enjoyed the ambience and the zen music. Amy was very sweet, made me feel very comfortable while giving me my massage, and we had a good conversation. She started with a dry massage, then one with oils and towards the end she used hot stones on my whole body. After my massage was done I paid the $20 tip and $50 for the massage, thanked them and left. The tension in my neck is still there and my feet still hurt a bit but Ill be coming back again. Hubs surprised me with a spa day at Hanna Day Spa. He scheduled a massage, facial, and body scrub on a Sunday afternoon. I arrived about 10 minutes early and was greeted and checked-in by a nice gentleman. Shortly after, my masseuse came to get me and took me to one of the rooms. The masseuse started with the massage. It was pure bliss. She applied the right amount of pressure and even got on the table to reach certain areas. I loved every minute of it. The massage was followed by a facial. The facial was great. She steamed, cleaned, moisturized, and massaged my face. However, she didn't do any extractions like I had hoped. I was really looking forward to it, too. The final service was the body scrub. She took me to the shower room and gave me a towel, shower cap, and a disposable underwear. She scrubbed my entire body from my neck to my toes, rinsed me, then dried me with a towel. Having never gotten a body scrub service before, I didn't know what to expect but I wasn't expecting to be bathed like a child. Lol. I found this deal on Groupon for a 60 minutes Couple Swedish massage with hot stones and two glasses of wine for only $80 (usually $160) and I couldn't say no to that! As soon as we walked in a guy registered us and offered us water and our complementary glass of wine while they were prepping our room. Inside the store is pretty clean and relaxing. It also smells really good. They have plenty of rooms but didn't seem to have enough staff. We have to wait for another lady to finish with a costumer to start our couple massage. The guy attending costumers on the front register is the same guy who gave me the massage. It was kinda annoying that every time someone walked in he had to leave me and go check on it. I was greeted upon my arrival and was taken to the massage room. I had a female masseuse and she did a great job with a skilled technique. The couples massage deal I bought via Groupon entitled the significant other and I to two glasses of wine and an hour of a Swedish massage with a complimentary hot stone massage. The owner is Vietnamese, but she can speak English, Vietnamese, and Chinese. She showed us our room and provided us the option of adding a deep tissue massage for an additional $10. I don't like pain so I opted for the regular Swedish. Some of the massages on the shoulders hurt btw (so I def felt like it was deep tissue at certain points). The significant other and I felt like that hard kneading with the knuckles right at the shoulder blades could have been more gentle. He choose the deep tissue version and said it was def a harder massage with similar massage points. Speaking of massage points... Man, they touched my face, shoulders, back, thighs, legs, feet, arms, hands, fingers, front and back. It was pretty much everywhere. It was such a thorough massage! The complimentary hot stone massage was nice as the stones were warm and provided a diff sensation. My lady didn't speak to me at all, which was nice as I tried to relax. I took a chance and purchased a spa package for a dear friend for her birthday in her neighborhood. Although Frank was amazing in working with me to make sure I got exactly what I wanted I will admit I was still nerves. I really wanted her to enjoy herself for a few hours from her stressful life on her special day. I am happy to say not only did she love the service and ambience she went on to have other services. She was so happy with the experience that I am getting her another package for Christmas. Boy, is she going to love my gift!! And you can't bet the prices. Spa day! My boyfriend got me a couples massage with hot rocks and two glasses of wine for Valentine's Day. He set up the appointment for us and everything, so all we had to do was show up. We had kind of a busy schedule that day, and knew we'd better be on time. We showed up just a minute before our appointment time, and the lady said, "You're early". Yeah, okay...a minute early, yes. I didn't realize that would be an issue. So off she goes, without really telling us anything. We waited about ten minutes and some man walks in, and asks if we have been helped. He hands us a form to fill out, and then delivers two glasses of wine, if you can call it that. It tasted more like a very cheap sangria minus fruit. We then waited more, and didn't get taken back till a half hour later. Basically it pushed our schedule behind, and we had to let his mom know we'd be late for dinner. Besides that annoyance, my masseuse left the room four times without notice. I get she had to get towels and hot rocks, but the other two times I have no clue. They also set a timer for 60 minutes. Okay, I know it's an hour massage, but I've never been to a place that actually sets a dang timer, and not a silent one, either. When time was up, that thing was blaring loudly. It's not the kind of ending you want at a spa. The massage itself was okay. They don't ask if you care if they reveal certain stuff...they just do it. The motions weren't fluid, but more choppy and jerky at times. It really wasn't very relaxing. My boyfriend said his back hurt after the massage, like how is this possible? Also, last night, the day after the massage, my right lower back hurts, and I'm not sure if it was how I moved at the gym or if they manipulated my back somehow in not a good fashion. I feel bad, because I know my boyfriend wanted to do something special for me, and while it was nice to have the massages together, I'd be hard pressed to come back here. Extremely impressed. I found a Groupon for a 60 minute couples' massage and decided to take my girlfriend. The deal was a 60 minute Swedish massage with a hot stone treatment and 2 glasses of wine. Sure, the appointment was 10:15 AM, but we still had wine. I've never had a true massage. This was the first time I've ever had one. My girlfriend has had great and mediocre spa experiences. This is much closer to a massage parlor than a full spa, but what they do they do extremely well. The staff was very friendly and made sure to attend to any specific needs. The facility was clean and the atmosphere was extraordinarily relaxing. The room was dimly lit with comfortable massage tables and relaxing music playing in the background. They do what they can to keep customers too, such as offering birthday deals and vouchers. I would have no problem becoming a regular customer. A friend of mine talked me into getting a reflexology massage as my legs and feet were bothering me, and after getting the first one, I am going back every week for the next one. I made a "couples" massage appt here since my daughter wanted us to get massages as one of her birthday treats. I also scheduled a mani/pedi at their nail salon. We arrive on time and it weirdly seems that they are surprised to see us. Its hard to explain but for a couple of minutes there I was doubting myself, wondering if I had shown up at the right place. I used a Groupon so I double-checked and yep, I was right where I was supposed to be. *The Groupon was for a couples massage and wine. The wine was the $3 Arbor Mist junk, we declined. You really are unable to lie face down and drink anyway. Straws? We were led back and given wonderful massages. Truly, Mary's massage was possibly the best I've experienced anywhere. I normally don't care for the hot stone part but she handled those things like they were made of silly putty. The only thing I didn't really understand was that there's no foot massage. Nada, not for either one of us. I've actually visited once more for a massage and didn't get the foot massage then either. I highly recommend a massage here, but they are on the high-end as far as price, particularly since the atmosphere doesn't lend itself to the same standard you'd experience at the more upscale spas. I would suggest that you NOT schedule a spa day here, the whole mani/pedi we scheduled afterward did not work out which was such a bummer since, again, this was the daughter's birthday. Hanna presents the business as a day spa but in reality the massage joint is on the top deck of the building and getting your nails done means you are getting in your car, driving around and parking on the other side of the building since it is in an entirely different location. We were not greeted upon entering the nail salon and when an employee eventually showed up she promptly informed us that "he" (whoever that is) did not tell her that we had an appt, even though she was looking at our names in the appt book right in front of us. She said we could come back in 1.5 hours. Yeah, right, like I'm not going to pass 5 other nail salons on the way home. It was a let-down, I was under the impression that all the services, massage and nails, were done at the same place since that's the vision they're trying to sell you. Hanna is NOT a day spa, it is two different locations that provide 2 different services. Due to the prices I'm not positive we'll be back, there are more upscale places to get the same service for the same price or less, so we'll see. You get what you pay for. We used a Groupon for a couples massage which came to $82, and then they insisted that gratuity was $32 non negotiable. It came with 2 glasses of wine, which tasted like Welch's grape juice. So I (31M) had a woman and my SO (35F) had a male masseuse. There was very little communication about our preferences, areas to focus on, etc. About 20 minutes in, my SO had to ask them to leave the room to tell me she was not enjoying the massage and that he wasn't really listening to her comments and had rolled her panties down without asking. He started way too rough and then got too gentle. We almost left but she decided to try to give it another shot. My masseuse was very rough as well, lots of forearm steamroller type technique as well as elbows and heavy pressure. It was painful for portions of it and there was a facial massage and a head scratch which wasn't exactly relaxing and then lots of slapping, chopping, wiggling arms and legs around, pulling on fingers and joints, just generally not relaxing stuff. The music was too loud to be relaxing either and it was just a short loop of ambient piano which got annoying once I realized how many times it was repeating. The hot stone portion of it was the only part I really enjoyed, and it was woefully short. They used a ton of oil, which actually gave my SO a skin breakout which we noticed in the car ride home. They finished with a hot towel which was kinda nice but that also didn't last very long. I've had a number of massages and my SO is a veteran and she said it's by far the worst one she's had, and I have to agree. We're both very sore on our backs the next day. I would not recommend even as a cheap option. Fork over the money for more experienced staff. read more

This was my first time visiting Hanna Day Spa. I have not had a massage in years and saw their awesome deal on Groupon. I could not turn down an hour massage for under $50! The spa is located in a shopping center next to restaurant and retail stores. Inside, the spa has plenty of rooms and peaceful music playing. When I checked in, I was asked to provide some information at sign in. My appointment was at 3:00. I arrived at 2:45. Sean, who checked me in, mentioned that they were running a little behind and asked if I would be interested in using the infrared sauna while I waited. The sauna was a great place for me to sit and wait. It was nice to relax in the peace and quiet and be warm. I was in the sauna a little longer than I anticipated being (about 30 minutes), but it was better than waiting in the waiting area. My 60 minute massage was great! It was a FULL 60 minutes and FULL body massage from your head to your toes. Do not be surprised (like I was) when the masseuse gets on the table with you during certain parts of the massage, because it feels great. My massage also included hot stones. This was my first time experiencing a massage with stones and I really enjoyed that part. My neck and shoulder had several knots that my masseuse was able to rub out. It was not the most pleasant feeling at the time, but I feel much better afterwards. I do wish the massage bed had been a little more comfy. it was a little more stiff than I am used to. I also wished the temperature in the spa had been a little warmer. When you are lying there naked with just a sheet covering some parts, it can get a little chilly! This place is definitely worth a visit. They always have some special or some discount available, so you most likely will never pay full price for a massage, which is awesome. Used a Groupon for an appointment here. My girlfriend had flown in from out of state so this was a big part of our day plans. The woman at the desk would not honor the Groupon as it was not listed on our reservation. She said we needed to wait to talk to the manager. While we waited and elderly woman who had come in for the "Double Asian" $60 massage special advertised on a large window sign was told she "misunderstood" and needed to pay a significant up charge. The manager came and advised us they only honor 4 Groupons a day and we could pay $130 to keep our appointment and use the Groupon some other time. That's never happening. Buyer beware read more

***BEWARE OF GRATUITY SCAM AT THIS BUSINESS - Tried to force us to tip 50% of the cost of the massages as a "mandatory" gratuity charge*** My wife purchased a couples massage for us on Groupon at this location for $80. That is a massage for two people for $80 total for both of us (you'll see why this is important shortly). After having to wait a few weeks before they could schedule an appointment for us, we arrive and have okay massages. They weren't bad, they weren't good, but alright. Just based on the massages alone, we probably wouldn't be coming back. As we leave, the Caucasian man working the front desk tells us he will "check us out" before we leave. He informs me there is a "mandatory" 20% gratuity charge. I said that's no problem, we were going to give them $10 each anyway. He tells me that this is not enough, its actually $20 PER MASSAGE (50% of the cost we paid for the massage). We explain the cost of the massages, and he tells us we must pay gratuity on the full cost of the massages, not the Groupon cost. I understand this is to allow the employees to still make money, and I still paid it, but no where in the language of the groupon did it mention that there was a mandatory 20% gratuity required on the full cost of the massages. Moreover, the full cost of the massages we received was $75 each, that's $150 total for the couples massage. 20% of that is $30, not the $40 that the man at the front desk was demanding. It took the owner of the Spa coming over and hearing all of this before we could even leave with "only" having to pay the $30 "mandatory" tip. I am torn with my experience here. I had a couples massage through Groupon. Upon arriving customer service was great and we were offered complimentary wine. The hot stone part of the massage was great!! But I was exposed the whole time and the massage therapist made no effort to cover me. For example, at one point there was no sheet on me at all and I was naked. I felt very uncomfortable having to keep covering myself with the covers myself. There were also techniques I did not like, such as being "chopped". If you don't like facial massages, please tell them before hand or you will be upset. The massage therapists also kept repeatedly leaving the room throughout the massage. At one point one of them was gone for about 4 min. First of all when the receptionist walked me to my room she just left me in there and shut the door, didn't tell me to get undressed or anything, so of course I was afraid that if I started to undress someone was going to walk in. The massage therapist was a middle aged man but I gave him the benefit of the doubt anyway. He was every bit of creepy as I had expected. First off I told him I just wanted my back and neck done.
