Well.. these people were never inexpensive, which was fine with me because I loved some of their massage therapist. I and my husband have been their customer from almost a year, ever since we moved to Alpharetta. But today I had the worst experience at this place. I was welcomed by an extremely rude lady (who happened to be the owner) and I was asked if I have been there before and my response was Yes! I was directed to my room by her and she asked me to get prepared for the massage. I asked a simple question to her - what oil would you be applying today for which she replied in a very rude tone "we have only coconut oil and if you want anything you get it from your home". I was surprised to here that because many time in past her massage therapists have used lemon grass oil on me and I was quite impressed with their service. Two months ago they increased their price without even informing their old customers. We were ok to pay the new price but as a customer we expect decent treatment. As an answer to her response I told her to provide few options because customer should feel that they are getting value for what they are paying. I have also informed her that in past I have used the lemongrass oil and I enjoyed the experience of massage and aroma. And instead of saying she will consider the suggestion she rudely replied to me saying.. I am the owner and I know we have always used coconut oil to all the customers. When I told her that's not true because I have myself received those services here through some of her good therapist and now when you raise the price you should definitely provide the same services I am used to. She got furious hearing that and told me that "we are special and the price you are paying is for the special service you get here, if you have problem you can go somewhere else". I was extremely disappointed to hear this because till that moment I was talking to her I was in a impression that we are discussing things, I was holding a smiling face through out our conversation but unfortunately when she behaved rude I decided to walk away without taking her service. read more

It is first time we got a massage since Covid 19. I have to say I love it. We used to live in Suwanee and went to Total health spa in Buford Ga every month . We both like there because they are all well trained & clean and professional. But now we moved to Alpharetta and we kept trying to find a good one . I love this day spa! First off, it's beautiful inside. Very nicely decorated. The beds are super soft and comfortable. I've gone twice and had totally different experiences each time. The first time I went was amazing! I was stretched all the way out and then had an amazing oil massage. Then she hopped on my back and walked on my back. That was a little weird (not the walking on my back) but she walked on my bare back with her bare feet! That was a little gross but it still felt good for the most part. The second time I went was great too! I did not get my back walked on but I was stretched out perfectly. I felt amazing afterwards as well! I definitely recommended this place! It's $80 for an hour so a little pricier for the more ethnic massages but it's definitely worth it for quality and ambiance. read more

Had an appointment at 1pm. Knocked on the door and called multiple times. It wasn't until 10 minutes afterwards of knocking again, a lady finally came out to greet me and told me I would have to wait 30 minutes for my massage. Apparently the previous client arrived late. I was the last appointment of the night and Pu was not worn out from the day... she went all the way in and gave me the most relief I've had in months. When we started I could not look to the right without pain. She told me to come back in 10 days and We would go deeper. I wish I could afford what I need. I wanted so badly to love this place....but apparently the couples massage my mother and I got were very different. My masseuse was NINA, and I DO NOT recommend her!!!! Even though I scheduled a couples massage, my masseuse "Nina" said separate rooms were best because often time people fall asleep during massage and I didn't want to take away from my mothers experience (was her 50th birthday), so I agreed on separate rooms. We bought 90 minute Thai Combination and added hot stones for an additional $15 each. Nina began the massage touching me SO LIGHTLY that it felt like a 5 year old child was rubbing my back. A few minutes later she asked if the pressure was good, so I said she could go a little bit stronger. I cringed and held back tears through the rest of the massage, which was so hard and rough I felt bruised the next day everywhere. I mean it was so painful, after the massage I was shaking and felt dizzy and really out of sorts for about four hours afterwards. She would take her feet and dig into my underarm area, going from elbow to armpit, SO HARD and she would do it over and over repeatedly. This is probably one of the most painful things I've ever felt. She squeezed each calf muscle so hard while massaging them that I thought I might get a Charlie horse. When she stood on me, she would just let herself slide off the sides of each buttock, which was very strange and opened my butt and made me feel something was just a little off......seriously??? I thought maybe this was just how Thai massage is, I'd never had one before this. Also while standing on me, she stepped directly into my wrists and it didn't feel like the placement of her foot was where it needed to be....that hurt my left wrist for two days afterwards. When doing my neck and back, it felt like she was purposefully aiming to massage on BONE instead of muscle, she was either extremely inexperienced or she was purposefully trying to hurt me. She would not do the same things or with same duration/frequency on each side. When she massaged my face on top of the rag, she massaged MY EYEBALLS a few times!! She would also stop massaging and hold her hands/feet still, I think she thought I was asleep and so felt like she would take several breaks--until I would move or make a noise, then she'd continue massaging. She put a strong smelling eucalyptus oil soaked tissue under my nose while face down that made me SUPER CONGESTED I couldn't even breathe out of my nose anymore . I was so glad after 45 mins on my stomach breathing that in to flip onto my back, but as soon as I flipped over she smeared VICKS VAPORUB onto both nostrils, without even asking!! My mom got no strong aroma oils or vaporub smeared on her. Every time Nina touched me I had to take a deep breath and hold it just to get through everything. I didn't want to correct her because I'd told her she could go stronger and I felt stupid for saying that without knowing what was coming next. Her transitions from one muscle group to the next were abrupt and left me guessing where to expect her next.....Nina brought only two hot stones into the room for me, she used them until they got cold, and later she left the room to get 2 more. She ended up leaving the room 3 times in total, for various reasons!!!! She stood the stones up and proceeded to grind them into my shoulder blades and throughout my sides, like she was trying to erase something with them or something. It was awful.....and I have had hot stone massages many times before at different spas, so I know how hot stone should feel. She also tilted my head up and crammed my neck so deep into my chest that for a second I felt I might pass out. Again, I thought maybe this was just how Thai massages were and maybe they just were too rough for me....until I asked my mom how hers went. My mom LOVED her massage and had absolutely NONE OF THOSE BAD THINGS done to her (my moms masseuse name was Elizabeth, I recommend going to her specifically should any of you want to go here.) I was so sad, I never splurge on myself for anything. I spent good money to try this out and gift my mother something special....I'm just so glad my mom got Elizabeth and that Elizabeth did awesome work on her. read more

To my surprise after I go there I meet Sue who trained in Thailand and in US massage therapy, I had actually had a massage from her a year or two ago in panama city, FL. I remembered her because she gives some of the best massages that ive ever had and she continues to keep up the good work. I am a massage junkie and this wonderful spa is my new favorite! I love Thai massage because the stretching helps with my flexibility and at almost 60 that's important. But they also do regular Swedish, deep tissue and hot stone . I have been from The enchantment resort in Sedona to Elizabeth Arden red door in Manhattan and I was so impressed with this place I am going weekly ! The spa is beautifully decorated and spotless and the therapist are gifted . I have been a customer of the Touch of Thai Day Spa owner for over four years. It is my opinion that she and her staff deliver the very best therapeutic and authentic Thai massages available anywhere. On occasions when I am out of town I have gotten "Thai Massages" that left me disappointed. Many massage spas say that they offer Thai massages - but in many instances they are not authentic. So my strong recommendation is to make at least a 90 minute massage appointment as soon as possible with Touch of Thai Day Spa and see if you have a similar experience to mine. Not a good experience and WAY overpriced! $85 for an hour massage that was totally amateur and generic, neither therapeutic nor relaxing. I have several issues that I've been seeing a chiropractor for and they were actually worse when I left. She didn't focus enough on problem areas but it wasn't at least relaxing...she basically pounded on me. Uncomfortable and not helpful. Also, at a minimum, I'd like to be comfortable on the table but wasn't even able to have that...when facedown, asked for bolster under lower legs. They didn't have that so used a flat pillow. Headrest not adjustable. Bottom line...NOT WORTH $85!!!! Ridiculous. So disappointed. Note: did not have Nina, who I read in other reviews is very good. read more
