This store is an anchor of the town. Nice people. Good service overall. So I am at a loss trying to understand the downfall in stock levels at this store. I understood the supply chain problems during the Pandemic. But for heaven's sake, this went away three years ago. Some of the aisles could aptly be named the Soviet aisles with the lack of stuff in them. Still, meats and veggies are plentiful. But the dearth of non-perisables is hopefully something management and corporate should definitely look at. read more

today at self checkout a worker who was tall and he had long hair was blatantly watching to see if I was stealing. when in fact I'm the only one in my household, who is not sick. Struggling with a 11 week old baby well scanning my groceries using a stroller only because it is down pouring outside. mind you I'm blatantly struggling. sweating, wet from the down pour too and a screaming baby. Instead of offering help you just embarrassed me instead even more Than I already was. so thanks for that. do better. some people are just doing their best and kindness goes a long way. This Hannaford stocks quality items and knows the needs of its customers. The staff are courteous and very helpful.

The food is excellent, the ambiance is very good and I enjoyed the excellent service too.

A day at the lake house requires some stocking up. Hannaford, the only supermarket in the area to my knowledge, was a pleasant and surprising answer to all of our needs. Considering we went in there without a list or agenda to speak of, we did quite well. Hannaford was clean, well-lit, well-stocked and boasted an impressive wine selection for a rural New Hampshire Supermarket. But the best part of all? It being Labor Day weekend, the turning of the seasons (Summer to Fall) Hannaford's afforded us the opportunity to quite literally celebrate this changing of he guard with a selection of brew from both worlds: a six of Sam Summer and a six of Harpoon Octoberfest. The end of Summer and the beginning of Fall, all wrapped up in in deliciously refreshing beers. Thanks for makin' it happen Hannaford! read more

Really nice store, though I knew it as Crescenti's when I attended college in New London in the 90's. I believe Hannaford's may have been remodeled since then. Very nice store, easy to find things. Went in to purchase some tylenol and deodorant and to just look around. Everything was fine, employees readily asked if I needed assistance in finding things. Would have been nice to have a self-checkout line or two as it was sort of crowded in the checkout lanes that were open, but I guess that's me being from a large metro area and being in a rush all of the time. I'm not in a rush this weekend, not at all. I'm sure this store benefits the entire town and especially in the summer when town gains a lot more summer vacationers. read more

This supermarket has rude cashiers to its customers. There are many elderly people who shop here and they may be hard of hearing....not understand the new boxes on the floor...and they are being yelled at....manager standing right there. I cannot stand this store...I wish another would open in town. I will definitely be going to Market Badket more. The prices are ridiculous and when I just spent $400 and have 2 carts overflowing....cant get any help out to car. .bye bye read more

Not impressed with this store in New London, NH. Been hoping for years they would do better. They don't manage the stocking of shelves very well. They don't understand what products need to be restocked on a regular bases. Been to other Hannaford's and this one fails miserably compare to others. Many other stores like Market Basket understand what is needed in general. Just recently found a great food store called Co-op food store in Lebanon, NH. Happy to travel for good food. Cleanest grocery store bathroom I've ever seen. It even has the nice toilet seat paper covers you don't have to rip before putting on the seat. The store layout is interesting with food goods right when you enter and then perpendicular aisles of home goods/medicine/cereal in front of the registers. Nice people, plenty of parking, expensive but considering it's the only large supermarket in the area, accounted for. read more

Coming down from Vermont, and skipping the NH Welcome Center (which was three porto-potties), I opted to just wait for the next couple of exits to see I deserved better. With holding in my gripes and a full bladder, I was fortunate to stumble upon this supermarket from Heaven. No, I did not shop for anything, but the staff was friendly and directed me to the cleanest bathroom that I had ever been in any supermarket. Clean floors, clean toilets, full of soap and towels. Wonderful Hannaford. Everyone who works there is very helpful. Staff is well-trained. Happy attitudes all around (except a few of the teen boys at check-out--but what do you expect from teenaged boys who aren't thrilled about having to work--it's not really a problem and I'd imagine hard to hire good help these days), and staff generally goes out of their way to show you things, point you in the right direction, do special orders, whatever it is you may need. The selection of foods of all sorts is fantastic and impressive. The arrows and signs re: COVID very helpful, straightforward, and make sense. I dinged the store 1 star because an alarming number of people (mostly men in their late 30s to 40s) are simply not wearing masks. Also a lot of people seemingly taking refuge from COVID in New London, from cities all over the country--charge at top speeds through the aisles not looking at or even being aware of anyone else but themselves, cut the check-out line, block the aisles talking to each other, and go down the aisles the wrong way against the arrows--Hannaford's staff does not seem ever to say anything to any of those folks not wearing masks or barreling the wrong way down the aisles, which makes it less safe for the rest of us who are doing our part for our neighbors, ourselves, the Hannaford's staff, and the community. I wish even a gentle "Hi, you may not have noticed these arrows but it's preferred you walk the other direction" or "Hi, you need to wear a mask in here--if you don't have one there are some by the door" kind of thing. Great store otherwise, but I feel less good about going into Hannafords these days due to the above. read more

Clean grocery store bathroom included with needle disposal, great if you are a diabetic like me. However, howeeeeever if you want to pay 15% more for groceries please come here, msot overpriced for the garbage you buy. If you want lower prices Franklin Hannafords is worth the drive. read more

Dropping off rapidly in service. Used to be very friendly and personalized, now they are just like every other chain forcing customers to do self checkout or wait in long lines. Disappointing to see a store that has been patronized by so many just raising prices and lowering service. read more

This is the only grocery store really from Warner to Lebanon though don't let that fool you and it is one of the better Hannaford stores. The store is very clean and organized even the bathrooms were sparkling and look recently remodeled. Great beer selection with reasonable prices, fairly decent selection of local and natural foods including milk in glass bottles and lots of fresh meats and produce. Service was also very friendly and helpful , the dairy clerk got me spoon for my pint of ice cream for the road. When head north to Vermont worth a stop to stock up on treats and refresh for the ride. read more

Hannaford in New London has always been an ok experience until yesterday. I was trying to unload my cart onto the belt and the cashier starting yelling at me for being slightly over the red line because it is extremely hard to unload your cart without going over the red line. She was very bossy and extremely rude! The prices are high and very hard to shop one way isles. We decided to stop going there from now on and travel to Warner to shop at market basket! It can't be any worse than New London Hannaford!!! read more

My list of items to buy for camp included 10 watermelons, 250 pieces of thighs, 25 bullion cubes, 16 galons of milk, 6 packs of egg noodles, a birthday cake to name a few. Assistant manager Justin was very helpful in finding these items and loading them into my car. Overall great service and quality produce. read more

I really like this place. Everyone is always nice and helpful. Prices seem reasonable and you can't beat the location in the middle of town.

Overpriced in general. Don't honor the Hannaford circulars for sale items most of the time. When they do honor the sale items, they make you jump through hoops to get the item. For example, top round chuck for stew on sale, there was even a sign in the meat case, but no actual meat. I asked the butcher if he had any, he said he'd cut me some, but then tried to upsell me to a different cut of meat. It's clean and well staffed. Good selection of fresh produce. Only grocery store in a rich town, so they take advantage of that I suppose. read more

In addition to the fact that the prices are so much higher than all the other Hannafords and they are rarely staffed appropriately, I know/have known many of their employees who they seem to treat like crap. I will try to avoid this store like the plague. read more

I liked Cricenti's when it was that. I hate Hannaford's although the fish counter is OK. What do I hate about it? Most of what they have is junk anyway, but when you do find something good they'll run it for awhile and just when you think you can depend on it, they discontinue it. Quality has gone down. The selections are getting less & less. Deli didn't have any chicken salad which was 1 of the main reasons driving over here. I went to the 1 in West Lebanon and all they had was a small amount that had been sitting uncovered for who knows how long.... produce not what it was. read more
