Unfortunately the online rating that brought us there did not hold up. The veggie wrap was basic and lacked flavor while missing key elements that were listed on the menu. No avocado, minimal hummus, roasted veggies, if present, were flavorless and hard. Thought I got the wrong sandwich but then just realized that it was just a bad sandwich. The place we originally wanted to go to stopped serving food at 2pm so we ended using here. Glad that happened because this place is a gem. Hubby got a chicken parmesan panini and I got a cubano panini. We got a bag of tortilla chips to share. My MIL got a garden salad which also looked so fresh and she said it was really good. The store was clean, service is friendly. They are not cheap but the food is of great quality. The only gripe I have is that they have extremely limited dining space. Lovely spot for lunch while passing through Squam. We often don't care for the bread north of CT, but the marketplace has it down. The herb focaccia on the Caprese panini was delicious. Great flavor and good crunch. My husband tried the roast beef and turkey and both were loaded with meat and fresh ingredients. They are on the smaller side but it was the perfect amount of food without feeling too full. They have a few tables outside to enjoy your meal and plenty to shop for inside while waiting for tour food. Breakfast ends at noon. read more

I visited this small marketplace in December on the way to center sandwich and to hike Mount Israel. They sold a wide range of products, including holiday gifts, frozen foods, dry groceries, pastries, drinks, wine, and there's a deli area with sandwiches and soup. There were 1-2 readymade vegan dishes (a noodle dish and quinoa). I got hot cocoa ($5) which tasted cozy and was thankfully not too sweet. read more

Good breakfast sandwiches, good lunch sandwiches, some basic groceries, coffee / tea / hot chocolate drinks, pastries, and a variety of souvenirs and cards for tourists. The food to-go is all made to order, and that's a good thing. I had several breakfasts and a few lunches. For a small New Hampshire town, the sandwiches were surprisingly good. There are a few things I would improve upon, but I'll be going back, either to get sandwiches for a hike or paddle, or breakfast on the way to an outing. For drinks I got Natalie's orange juice, hot chocolate, while my sister tended towards coffee or latté, all of which were good. For breakfast while I tried the BLT breakfast panini (it was good), I kept going back for the Breakfast sandwich with egg & sausage on a bagel (surprisingly, link sausage), adding tomato. Delicious. For lunch fare, I wish I'd tried the Cubano, but my favorites were the roast beef with horse radish, and the roast beef with boursin - they did roast beef well. The turkey club was alright, but not quite what I expected (not a double-decker sandwich, not hunks of fresh-sliced turkey (more like turkey from a slicer or deli-pack). If I could improve anything, it would be to use whole leaf lettuce (rather than ribbons of cut lettuce) in the sandwiches. As for the cards, decals, and souvenirs, I managed to pick up a few, more for sentimental reasons than as a tourist (I've been going to the area for decades, don't really need all the knick-knacks - but a card or two to send to friends and family, sure). read more

We took a drive from New Durham to Holderness to visit the Squam Lake MarketPlace. What an interesting store this is - it offers a little bit of this and a little bit of that. They offer local and unique products from local craft beer, specialty coffee, extensive wine collection, all sorts of gifts from apparel to Squam memorabilia, all kinds of groceries, prepared meals, baked goods, salads and a deli stocked with everything you could want. They even do catering. Even better, Squam Lake is the only store that offers a dock for lake access, you can tie up your boat walk to the store. Does it get any better than this? I don't think so. Their winter hours are: Monday to Thursday 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM - Friday to Sunday 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Stop in, you will be glad that you did. read more

They have a lot of healthier options, as well as a gluten free section as well. Not only do they have just about any food you would need, they also have a phenomenal drink section. They have a variety of great craft beers and an expansive wine selection too. Aside from these two beverages, they also have a great coffee menu. I don't have much to complain about. I got the BLT sandwich. It was actually particularly good for a BLT. It took upwards of 10 minutes to come out though but I understand that it may have just been busy. My only real COMPLAINT is that the person taking my order was chewing in my face. This place is amazing! The sandwiches were fantastic. I love sliced meat between sliced bread, (particularly in hoagie form) and that was one of the best hoagies I've had outside of NY or Philly. The bun was fresh and soft and sliced properly on one side like a hoagie should be with the standard three types o meat and veggies dressed with a nice Italian dressing, salt n pepper. Legitamate! Their coffee bar is delicious and they make a beautiful latte (with almond milk or dairy milk). The sandwich and salads are all so good! Try their chicken salad, you won't be disappointed.
