On a recent trip to visit one of my dearest friends, we set out for a little spring nail fixing up. After one failed attempt at a walk-in down the street, we traveled back to Hannah's, located right by the Metra tracks, a stone's throw from the Stone Road La Grange Metra station. Both my friend and I were able to walk in for immediate pedicures. They had an excellent selection of OPI and Essie colors (and didn't have a problem with my friend bringing her own color). We snuggled into some very deep massage chairs for a relaxing late afternoon treat. The salon was very clean, and had one of those special heat cleaners for the instruments...I've heard enough infection horror stories that I generally don't go to a salon without them! The nail techs were friendly and efficient, and I felt that they did a good job on each of us. $35 for a mani-pedi, a pretty standard deal. however, they DO have a Monday-Tuesday special for $30 for the duo, if you happen to live in the area! If I'm even back in the burbs (well, La Grange!) and in need of some nail attention, I will definitely go back! read more

honestly very very disappointed. first, i had to shape my own nails. when she did it they were horrible, extremely crooked, and my hands did not look the same at all. then, she cracked a nail off and blamed me because apparently i did too much filing. filing should not break a tip that already had all the acrylic on it. then my toes looked even worse. parts of it wasn't even covered in polish and it was very see through. the see through part might've been the nail polish but still disappointing. the nail color itself went on fine but the nails already look grown out and are missing some spots. read more

Pros: You almost never need an appointment. The service is immediate. Many nail salons in the area are overcrowded, which makes it a less than relaxing experience when you're trying to treat yourself, whereas Hannah's is usually pretty quiet during the day. Pricing isn't unreasonable. Cons: Very limited parking on a busy street. Many of the staff members seem to lack confidence and are nervous. I've been to Hannah's Nails probably 6-7 times and the only time my no-chip manicure lasted more than a week and a half was when Hannah herself did it for me. And the lighting is extremely dim. It's hard to see which colors you're choosing, and there was more than one instance I walked out with a color I was unhappy with. The last time I went, I chose a blush pink (more on the neutral side)- even the cap reflected the color choice- and I left with neon hot pink nails. Even my nail artist seemed a little surprised, but didn't offer to fix them. So just be careful! Maybe take the color wheel to the window when you're making your selection. read more

I have rough areas still, on heels and edge of feet that normally get nicely smoothed with exfoliating-this was just done poorly. The shop itself was moderately clean. Would not recommend this establishment if you are looking for a pleasant experience. My friends and I booked an appointment to get our nails done. I picked my color and was sat with the owner Hannah. I explained what I wanted and sat back and relaxed. Unfortunately, that didn't last long as I noticed her sloppy demeanor. She was "glueing" on my acrylic nails or seemed to be. The nails kept lifting because she didn't spend more than 2 second on them. I needed to stop her and ask if she can fix two lifted nails. I come to a nail salon to relax, not help my technician do their job. We proceeded with the appointment, and I was grinding my teeth. I've never had an acrylic set done so sloppily. My shapes and lengths were different on each finger. The polish went over my cuticles and onto my skin. Hannah had me go to the drying station before finishing my nails to begin someone else's. She than cane over and threw on a sloppy top coat. The top coat needed to be redone. I was fuming, I've never experienced such a poor job in six years. I went to Hannah and asked if she can fix my nails. She rudely spoke about me in front of me. She than told me that she didn't have time to fix my nails and I needed to come back another time. I don't come to a nail salon to come back another day to get them done correctly. Terrible customer service from the owner, terrible experience. Would not recommend their services. read more

I called a few days ahead to see if there was space to book two manis and two pedis for me, my wife, and two of our friends on Christmas Eve afternoon. when we arrived the man who greeted us was kind of gruff and confused, kept moving my friend and I to different pedi chairs, and had us wait over 20 minutes despite me calling ahead. That was a bummer because then my wife and other friend who got manis had to wait around for us. When my pedicure started, I had no way to communicate with the woman doing my nails. She was deaf, did not appear to read lips, and didn't really attempt to communicate even using the keypad on her phone, so it was awkward to feel there was no way for me to speak with her, and there were no real attempts made by anyone in the salon to help us be able to communicate with each other. Although she was very friendly, she pulled back my cuticles VERY fast and forcefully, and the tool cut my big toe all the way around my nail. This made the rest of the treatment extremely painful for me, and again, since we couldn't talk to each other, I had no way to tell her this. Since feet and toes bend so much, the wound is still reopening and painful a week later. Also, I was hoping to get a clear polish on my toes rather than color, but whatever was put on my toes, they were neither shiny nor smooth when it was done. When we were all finished, I saw my wife had her manicure done by the same woman, and two of her fingers were bleeding most of the way around the nail as well. All the women there were nice, and I enjoyed the exfoliating and the paraffin wax dip included in the deluxe pedi a lot, but I really can't recommend this place at all after the experience I had. As a side note, someone was storing their personal toiletries in the bathroom out in the open, which isn't some huge deal, but kind of weird. Put that stuff in a cabinet at least. read more

I was super excited to try a new nail salon so close to my house after getting many recommendations to go to Hannah's Nail Spa. The service was pretty good, as I was greeted at the door and didn't have to wait to get my nails done. I asked for a full set of acrylics for Christmas, and was excited to try something new. As the nail tech was glueing the fake nail tips to my nails, I noticed the skin around and under my nail was also getting glued to the tip. It was a little uncomfortable, but she did fix this as she proceeded through the manicure. After washing my hands in a very dirty sink and extremely watered down soap, I returned back to my chair and she began to use an electronic tool on my nails. Not only did this heat up my nails, but it caused me to bleed on three of my cuticles. The finish product left me with very bumpy, uneven nails and extremely painful cuticles. I would not recommend this salon, especially if you are looking to get acrylics. read more

I've been searching for a place to do my nails for a while. This place was clean and the staff was very nice. The technician that did my nails was nice and very gentle when filing my nails. I got a full set and she made sure I liked the design. Some of my nails were a little thick but over all not as bad as other places around town. She was very detailed in shaping them and cleaning the cuticles. The nail polish applying was okay she did miss some of the corners. A customer that was there had messed up her nails and they volunteered to fix it for her, she didn't have time so they put her polish apart for her to return the next day to get it fixed. My mom and I went to Hannah's for a pedicure and my mom wanted a manicure as well. We have been going here for about 2 years and never had a problem until today. My moms girl started her pedicure before mine and my girl rushed through mine so quickly where she ended before my mom was even done. She didn't do anything with my cuticles and didn't even massage my feet with lotion like they always did before. My moms girl cut her one nail too short to the point where it was painful. Not only that but she rubbed the razor on her foot to get the callus smooth and the bottom of her feet are red, throbbing, and raw. She told Hannah the owner and she put some sort of lotion on it to try and help but didn't even discount or comp for the problem. Over all it was an awful experience and we will never go back. read more

While getting pedicure done the person painting my cousins toes was on the phone and not even paying attention. My two sisters, niece and I had a wonderful morning here. It was one of my sister's first time and she couldn't have been happier. I had just run a 5K so the warm foot soak was wonderful. I forgot to write down the name of the woman that took care of me. The foot massage she gave me just melted me. It was wonderful. We all loved the treatment we received and we were all very happy with the way our pedicures turned out. I live in Bolingbrook but I will go back to Hannah's again! I went to Hannah's with friends the day of our formal to get dipped nails. I had made an appointment beforehand so they did a good job when we came in seating us immediately. My friend and I got dipped nails and another got a pedicure. They were both satisfied with their nails when we left and later on too. When we came in everyone was super kind and weren't gossipy like other nail salons I had been to before. When they filed my nails down it kind of hurt but I'm very sensitive as well. When I left I was very happy with my nails and they looked so good! As well as my friends too. Right as I arrived to my school formal I unbuckled my seatbelt and one of my dipped nails came off. I was more upset at the time because getting dipped nails is a special treat to me and I was not very happy. It made me feel so awful and gross at a country club with one nail off. I went back the next day and the same lady happily fixed my nail for free but the same day another one had fallen off. I left the next day on a school trip and a couple more nails had fallen off. Luckily I had brought nail polish in the same shade to paint the bare nails. But after awhile I was so annoyed I just toke them all off for having them for 2 days. I paid only 30$ for dipped nails, so a good price compared to other places. My friends dipped nails stayed on for awhile. So overall I have bittersweet feelings about Hannah's. I hadn't been here in at least a year, but it was the first place I thought of when we were looking for a place to walk-in for 3 of us. We all had super service, loved our colors, and nearly a week later, are still pleased with how our manis are holding up! The place has been much improved over recent years, more comfortable, more pleasant overall. An expanded selection of OPI and Essie colors, upgraded pedi chairs. Still very reasonable prices. The TV on the wall is not what I'd pick, but they were happy to turn it down when we asked. read more

They're under new owner ship again since March. They have a Monday- Wednesday special for $30 regular mani/pedi and $45 for no chip mani/pedi. The salon isn't very glamorous compared to other ones in the area. As far as the cleanness it's OK. During my pedicure there was water on the floor coming from the bowl. You don't get a special massage during the pedicure just a salt scrub and a hot stone rock that literally lasts 2 min. My manicure turned out OK I asked for my nails to be filed down evenly and each nail was a different length. I wasn't very satisfied, however you pay for what you get. read more

An hour later, both my pedi and manicure were completed so this isn't the place to go if you want a luxurious spa-like treatment for either. Very disappointed by the quality of the mani/pedi I received at Hannah's. The pedicure included a cold foot bath, as I sat in an unwieldy massage chair with a non-functional controller, and unevenly applied nail polish. The manicure was a joke. I asked for rounded nails and got square, then asked her to correct them and got nails so raggedly filed I spent about an hour trying to even them out after I left. The nail polish was so poorly applied to my nails (uneven, edges unpainted, cuticles painted) that I finally just asked her to remove it altogether so I could paint my nails properly at home. Then the manicurist acted like she couldn't understand me, so another manicurist (maybe the manager or owner) came over and told me she would redo my nail polish really quickly, but by that time I was running late for something and needed to get going. I still paid $38 for the worst pedicure of my life, and the only reason I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 is because they didn't try to charge me for that awful manicure. A child seriously could have done a better job. I should have listened to my hair stylist and tried Broken Nail or Luv Nails. read more

I went here randomly one day for a basic manicure and never went back. The woman doing my nails chose to ignore my asking to be delicate around one of my nails which had a small cut around the cuticle. So, the remover stung. When she started clipping my cuticles she must've not know what she was doing because she clipped two different fingers so bad that they bled. She poured some unknown substance on to stop the bleeding which really hurt. Didn't even apologize or give me a refund. She also never soaked my fingers like real salons do. read more
