If I could give six stars, I would. La Grange Nail is 100% the best nail salon in the area. I get the hot gel about twice per month and pedicures occasionally and I'm always satisfied with how my nails turn out. The staff are attentive, meticulous, and friendly. I have watched them go above and beyond for their customers. Don't let emotional reviews turn you off about this place. I had a wonderful experience at this nail salon about 1week ago. I got the appointment at a time I wanted but they take walk-ins too. My manicure and pedicure were done by James who is one of the owners. Everyone on the staff was friendly. James did a wonderful job and is also a very interesting person. I really enjoyed our conversation. He and the other owner just recently bought the shop. You can tell he deeply cares about the business running smoothly and he was mindful of all customers being treated well, attended to in a timely manner and being satisfied. The shop has a really natural and pleasant atmosphere. It's in a corner building on La Grange Rd with large store windows. a view of trees at a municipal park and numerous live plants inside. A nice touch is they offered a bottle of water to every customer. I really liked that. The prices were good too! I like French nails and they charged under the price other salons charged for this. James made my nails look beautiful! Also, he told me the gel or "no-chip" polish is guaranteed for 3 weeks. I was pleased to learn that because what was supposed to be the same kind of polish at the last place I went peeled off one of my nails only 3 days after they were done. The nail didn't even break, just the polish peeled off of a corner of the nail. At La Grange Nails if that happens, I can simply go back and they'll fix it for free! I just moved to Illinois from another State and I've been in La Grange Park for just 8 months. So far I've tried 4 different nail salons before coming to La Grange Nails. They all seemed way too expensive. This one was above all superior in terms of service and friendliness. The prices were reasonable and I felt very relaxed and comfortable. An added plus: it's close to home! That's why this will be my nail salon from now on. I'm going to be a La Grange Nail regular! read more

Came in for a mani-pedi. Service was excellent - and I come here whenever I get a service - my issue is not with the service but with the discounts. I will explain - they have a punch card, you get 10% off the 6th service, so at the low end, I had spent $250 to get 10% off my $53 mani/pedi. Fine - $5 off when you spend $250. Then, they always have a cash discount of 3% - which is to offset the credit card fees they have to pay. Also, great! However, after spending the $250 and then getting the 10% off my service, so $5.30 off, but they round down, so $5 off (which is fine), they said they will not honor the cash discount as well, so they would rather have me pay with my credit card and pay the 3-5% fee, then honor a cash discount combined with the 10% off for the 6th service - it just seems so unnecessarily petty. I am an accountant, btw, so business decisions like this that make zero sense and just upset a customer, make me frustrated. It's fine, though, I'll just pay with my credit card that charges you probably close to 4.5% because it's an airline reward card and those charge more, versus paying you cash so you don't have to give me a "double" discount on my 6th service. read more

Recently had a hip replacement and couldn't reach my toenails. Got a mid afternoon, midweek appointment on short notice and had a very nice Deluxe Pedicure in a relaxing atmosphere. I don't get a lot of pedicures, but will certainly come back next time I need one! read more

I called to see if there was someone available immediately for a pedicure. I was told, yes, there is, just come by now. I waited for 25 minutes and then was told, you need to wait a while longer. Even if they have no capacity for a drop-in customer, they will tell you to come immediately so you can wait for them. They have no respect for your time. Terrible management. read more

My brother and I were visiting mom who recently moved nearby and we noticed she had not had her nails tended to in a while. They really needed to be cut and tended to. We made an appointment for the 3 of us..we all had pedicures and mom also had a manicure. Wow! We arrived at our appointed time and had NO WAIT. They treated us like kings and queens. The young lady who worked on mom's overgrown nails was just fabulous! She was kind and gentle and very patient. Both of the people who did the pedicure for my brother and I were so professional and just an amazing job. My brother had the "whole 9 yards" with paraffin wax and herbs. We all had hot stones (I never had that before and it was very relaxing). What a lovely place and great staff! So glad we choose this establishment. If I can leave zero stars I would. I get my nails done regularly, I always go to magic nails in countryside but unfortunately they were closed for labor day. I found this location and called and I was happy they were open and i was willing to give them a try. They took me in as soon as i walked in. I went for dip mani and regular pedi. They started to soak my nails and usually when i go to magic nails they soak my nails but this place over soaked them. I had my nails soaking since i walked in until they were placing the hot towels on my legs so from like 1:40pm--3pm that's how long my nails were soaking in. The pedicure took too long i just told the guy to forget it.. I've never waited that long and i get one done every month. And I also went with my sister and daughters. The girl that was doing my sister's dip nails kept messing up on one nail and kept redoing. While i was waiting to get my pedicure started, a lady walked in with her daughter as well and i believe her mom for a pedi and mani and they got taken in ASAP, they had 4 people taking care of them while i was there still waiting to finish my pedicure. That's why i just told the guy to forget it. My business is not appreciated so I'll take it somewhere else. They gave the other lady better service just because she was white i will not support any racist place. The guy that did my pedicure was a nice it has nothing to do with him it's just the management. I do not recommend this place at ALL! WASTE of time and money, I will suggest just go to Magic Nails in country side. They give great service and treat people equally!. read more

A Nail Salon should be relaxing, calming and create beauty. LaGrange Nail has a long way to go to become even moderately good. Firstly, some of pedicure chairs are broken, so much so that you start to get a back ache. The tilt didn't work, the massage didn't work... so why when there is another open chair do you put a customer into this broken chair? I asked to be moved.. soon thereafter, another customer is placed in the broken chair, started having the same back issues and they brought her a towel as lumbar support.. the chair didn't function. Moving on, the pedicure was "acceptable" in length, but quality of the Polish technique was moderately poor, not a great paint job. Pricing was not on the low end compared to western suburbs, and overall the environment was crowded, rushed and not entirely pleasant. If you need a quick pedicure it may be acceptable, but overall I would look somewhere else. LaGrange Nail had some decent reviews on a local FB group, but I really don't see how anyone would recommend them. read more
