I would recommend for someone that's busy and wants an in/out experience. It did seem like they had a fair bit of regulars there, so I believe their service is likely consistent. I'd go again! I got a French tip gel manicure, paid $55 total. The white was uneven and the shape was also uneven. The gel chipped within 1.5 weeks and I had to take them off. Terrible quality nails for the price. It's losing a star because of unpredictable levels of service. Admittedly, I visit when I'm leaving a waxing service across the street or headed to Pete's for grocery (convenience). It's one of the newer salons and it's on a major thoroughfare so it's always busy, especially after 4p. Pros: Customers are taken up to closing time. I'm unaware of any cut off prior to. Cons: The staff are less than thrilled and those feelings generally work their way into your service. What is great service as noon, is average -ish after 5p. If you decide to visit late afternoon, know the staff will appear visibly annoyed and will complain to one another in a non-English language and "rush" to get you out so they can leave. In all fairness, these staff members are 20 - somethings year olds and probably aren't as interested in having repeat customers, steady income or providing exemplary service. If I had to guess, the money is not as important as their time off or after work plans. Which makes sense provided the owner bears it in mind before placing you in his/her/their chair. What I've grown to dislike most is their penchant for playing musical chairs. You come in and are quickly moved to a seat 'to be serviced' merely clearing the waiting area for the next group -- even though you are still waiting your turn to be serviced for 15-20 min or more! It leads customers pulling up and deciding whether to come in or drive to the next salon to enter assuming there's no wait because no one is sitting" in front". Where they excel is in sanitation of tools and color offerings. Additionally, if you're not one for waiting, calling ahead for a scheduled time reduces your wait time upon arrival --- bearing in mind it's always pretty full. All in all, it's a solid option when in a pinch with the drawbacks being service concerns & wait time shenanigans. read more

I initally loved getting pedicures done here since they have a verity of options, but when new workers come in they seem like they don't know the best process to do a pedicure for the price. It's the same thing for manicure. I've gotten my dip powder done by a few people there. I will say Ivy to me does the best work for acrylic. However, others have cut me, and didn't tend to the bleeding. Or have done my nails while eating inbetween switching hands. My nails also never come out the same even though I get powder everytime. The young lady, Gina, who actually did the pedi was good and quick. But before I could even get to her, Mr. Rude mumbled "pick color" and then went back to what he was doing. This place has none of that. These Chinese ladies (yes, they're Chinese) know what they're doing and they do it well. You go, girls! Always following your first mind, your gut or anything else that tells you..."Don't Do It!" Now, I came here a 2nd time after the 1st dissatisfied encounter with the same friend. The same friend who still goes but complained about the treatment from the staff. Anyway, here we are again, and low and behold, it appears the service is even worse! Day 3 and look at my nails!!! I really have been getting mani-pedis for the last 4 years. So I really only have one place to compare this to. I have been getting my mani-pedis in Chicago, this was my first in the burbs. To start, I wasn't a fan of their massage chairs. They hurt more than they were relaxing. This place definitely did more foot care in the pedicure. I got the basic one and they really scrubbed, massaged, and took care of my feet and legs. I was little disappointed in the manicure, though. I'm used to a hand and arm massage and even back/kneck massage, but this place just barely massaged my hands. It was my favorite part of the manicure/pedicure. Overall, it's a nice place. The technician painted my nails the wrong way. I explained how I wanted them done 3 times. She used nail polish remover on my brand new full set And then she painted white tips when they were already white and I only asked for clear. I didn't want her to use nail polish remover for a second time so I told her to leave it. When I asked why she painted it that way she said it would be the same price. That the was the only explanation. I asked the manager why it was done that way and she was only concerned about collecting the payment and didn't provide clarification. Love this place and typically come in for no chip manicures all the time when I call ahead! Came in on Sunday afternoon and my sister and I got a pedicure and no chip manicure. The nail techs were helpful and insightful when we asked them questions comparing the different pedicures. We decided on the Honey Princess Pedicure and it was great! they add a little extra massage and they place each foot in a bag that had a warm liquid lotion. We also got a no chip manicure and Emmy nail tech did a meticulous job on mine! I also chose DND peach cream for both my nails and toes, but I wanted to try out the matted finish on my toes. I did not like it at all, and it was definitely my fault. Haha. The lady was nice enough to change the top coat to gloss (which all you do is paint over the toes!) The no chip mani and honey princess pedi cost about $75 without tip. Worth it with clean environment, huge nail selection, nice workers, and all! read more

Horrible experience! I came here as recommended by a hair salon owner in the area. The facility looks nice, new and clean but they'll take a dump on you with their lack of workmanship and customer service. I got a mani pedi which was horrid. After trying to get them to fix the manicure that did not dry after 30 mins under the dryer, and a lot of back and forth between 3 nail techs, I asked for a PARTIAL refund of the service as I understood work had already been done to soak cuticles, shape nail, etc. The manager offered a whopping $5 refund. Disgusted, I left without the refund, and wished her good luck on her business. This place was a huge disappointment, since I value other people's recommendations. I've been checking out different nail salons this summer just to test the waters and I saw Angel Nails' banner for a grand opening earlier this month and just decided to stop by yesterday. It's a beautiful shop, immaculately clean and perfect! Very relaxing atmosphere. The pedicure section is in a separate room for more privacy and quietness. I had the owner, Ivy work on my acrylic fill with a no chip. She was so nice and down to earth! We actually had some in depth conversations which is a nice change from other places where I kind of sit awkwardly in silence. She told me about her history with her nail shops and how excited she was to be in Villa Park. She did a fantastic job on my nails! So I've been coming here on and off and recently had a gel chrome mani pedi that looked great but I was quoted incorrectly at first and my toe was chipped within 3 days. I called and they said they'd redo it. Cool. I went back 2 weeks later(yesterday) and got a no chip on my hands and asked their opinion on a chrome effect on my ring finger. The tech doing my hands was trying to explain to me it couldn't be done. But I had spoken to the tech doing my pedi and she said it would be possible but that they've never done it under this color and wouldn't know how it would look. So I took my chances and it was a cool color. The thing is, my no chip mani looks like crap! The tech(young with a bob cut) was aggressively grabbing my hands during, and didn't even paint my nails up to the cuticles. On top of that, they were shaped oddly on a few nails, they layers weren't smooth (you could see bumps on the chrome too), and it's starting to chip. I told the tech and she simply filed them on the sides as if that was magically fix the problem. I went up to pay and talked to someone else and asked her she rushed so she could go home. She said maybe and got a manager. A short guy came over and basically told me that not all work is perfect and to ask for someone else next time. I told my last 2 manicures looked soo much better and was very clean but hat didn't seem to matter. I still paid $95 with tip.. and for what ? DON'T come here for a manicure, pedicures, sure they have a great selection but I'm going to check out their competitors across the street. read more
