I had Ace come to my home a couple of months ago to re-key two doorknobs. After they left, one of…read morethe doorknobs would catch occasionally and not open even though it wasn't locked. I lived with it for a while as it would open after jiggling it a little. Recently, it got worse, so I called Ace to come and look at it. When the tech got here, he said they "don't fix that" but he could replace it the doorknob. He was here for maybe a half hour total and installed a new $40 doorknob. I was charged $307 dollars. Apparently, I was charged $90 just for the guy to drive here and $175/hr (one our minimum). I found this to be absolutely outrageous, especially given the fact that I didn't have a problem until Ace re-keyed my locks. I will never use them again and I strongly suggest that you don't either. It's no wonder people can't afford to live when business screw people like this. Disgusting.

They had to install a new lock cylinder on a 3rd door. we ended up with 3 keys for a total of 11 doors which is pretty good given all the doors were very different and of different ages. The main entrance doors to my house had not had working keys for decades and now they do thanks to this great work. They even adjusted a couple doors for us so that they opened and closed more easily. The service and skill of this entire organization was superb and their attitude was was very positive.

Very disappointed in the service from this company. I had called them as they were recommended by…read moreour realtor when we moved to area. They take ages to order parts and when they finally had the parts and installed the new locks, they damaged the wood on both door frames. I will have to have a contractor out to repair both door frames with filler and paint :(. Not only that, but the actual locks are problematic on 2 (out of 5) of the doors they worked on. The deadbolt and the housing the deadbolt slides into when the door is locked do not line up. The only way to lock the doors is to physically pull the door forward, and lock it while holding the door in that position. Save yourself the frustration and cost of repairing the damage they will do to your house. I recommend you find another locksmith.
