Free splash pad no bathing suit required. Bathing suit required for Pool but free swimming lessons. 7/16/2022. Rule pool: Children 6 and under require one adult per child, over 7 years old don't: for lessons; children must take free evaluation. Bring water, food, towels, crocks or water shoes, blanket for park area. Bathroom inside pool area. Lifeguard and staff available to help.

After failing to find a closer splash pad closer to us open, i desperately tired this place with my kid. I don't like the area this is set in, feels a little unsafe, but the ACTUAL splash pad and pool are amazing! Sweet features, gentle water, the squirting is mild. Next to the splash pad,a huge pool, and there's a huge green zone and awesome park right next to that as well! Clean, though i dont like that its concrete. Make sure you bring water shoes for the kids.

A snake, lizard. Not sure but it's refreshing for the kids

I needed a place to take my nephews. So I went drove to Sylmar park because I've was told there's a outdoor water park. So I went on Tuesday morning around 10:30am. Played around the park until the lifeguards opened the gate. A great place to take the kids if the adult doesn't want to get into the water. There's a splash pad area aside from the Sylmar's pool. It's gated separately, so one doesn't have to worry about the kids getting into the bigger pool. The splash zone is fairly small. There is no lifeguard on the deck, not really necessary. The splash zone does not have a dress code, it's free, and it's not necessary to be arms reach of your child. It's opens at 11am. Definitely taking the boys here again. Next time I'm bringing my lawn chair.

In colder seasons this pool might be too cold, but in the hot summer it is the perfect temperature to cool off and if you are swimming laps you won't overheat too quickly like some newer pools that are heated to 84 degrees for example. The pool is like the pictures and they have a big rec area to swim with the family and six lanes to swim laps. I would recommend getting to the pool at the start of the hour since they have to get everyone out of the pool at the start of the new hour. The facilities are old and probably the worst part of this pool. At the front entrance there is a cage where you can pay for your visit ($4 for adults). The Men's area is a bunch of benches for changing and there are no lockers, only mesh bags, but I wouldn't leave my stuff in there since there is no locker room attendant. The bathroom is fairly typical except the toilet stalls are a lot shorter than normal ones. The showers are not bad and it is one main pole with 5 shower heads around it. To enter the pool you also have to pass through the shower area. There is also one big handicapped stall with a shower if you want to have some privacy. One thing I did not like too much about the changing area is that there is an area that I think is meant for passing out gear if a team is to use the area and it is a window with chained fence. The only thing that stops the staff that walks in there occasionally is a curtain. It did not bother me that much, but I figured that I would mention it. I would go again, but make sure that if you go in the summer you bring sunscreen because there is not natural shade so if you stay longer than an hour protect your skin and put on sunscreen.

One year after the completion of our pool, we now have a broken empty shell of a pool in our backyard. There are cracks all over the pool, including one that goes entirely across the middle of the pool from edge to edge. It won't hold enough water to run the filters for even a single day. Ken just told me today that his insurance is unwilling to cover the repairs because of his poor work. This is after several months of dealing with him making promises that are broken at every turn. I now face the prospect of paying double to have another contractor remove the pool Gold Coast constructed and properly install a new one at twice the cost of the original. Guarantees are worthless if the contractor is unable to to support them. (Continued 2021) After paying lawyers tens of thousands of dollars and dealing with the legal system over the course of the last couple years, I've finally reached a settlement with the insurance company representing Gold Coast Pool Construction. It's not pleasant, it doesn't make up for the lies, stress, and years of lost enjoyment of my own home, and it certainly wasn't cheap, nor does the settlement cover all of my expenses. Gold Coast Pool Construction did not stand by it's contract. They built a broken pool and could or would not provide repairs, and Ken repeatedly lied to me about what he was doing. He left me with bills to cover things he tried to do to repair the pool and was a thoroughly unpleasant person to work with.

I brought my 4-year-old son to Aqua Buddies for swim lessons. At first, everything seemed fine…read more During his initial lesson, he worked with one instructor and learned basic skills like blowing bubbles, which was a positive start. However, as we continued, each lesson was with a different instructor, and that lack of consistency made my son increasingly uncomfortable. At his age, familiarity matters, and it became clear he wasn't settling in the way I had hoped. What ultimately led me to write this review, though, was not the instructors--it was the customer service. My interactions with the scheduler/representative regarding scheduling, missed days, and invoices were unpleasant and rigid. There was very little kindness or willingness to work with me, and the communication felt cutthroat rather than supportive. Because of this inflexibility, my son essentially missed out on continued lessons. Instead of working with me as a parent trying to navigate life with two young kids and a disabled husband, I felt pushed out over a missed appointment. In retrospect, I now see how much that experience negatively impacted my son's relationship with the water. I'm writing this while watching my son thrive at Water Wings, where he is happy, confident, and excited to learn. Seeing the difference has made me realize just how behind he became due to how things were handled at Aqua Buddies. Thankfully, there are other options in this city. I truly wish Aqua Buddies placed more emphasis on compassion, flexibility, and customer service--especially when working with young children and families who may need understanding, not rigidity.
