I love coming down here to soak up the surrounding views and clear my head. There are porta potty but beware they may not be clean. The only downside is that you may come across homeless people but it appears to be more under control. The ranger station is located down by the aquatic center as well. Worth it to walk the "mile" as it is known in my neighborhood; easily walkable or jogging. Pet friendly and golf course is right next door too so you also see the court. Can't believe I forgot about this hidden gem.

This was my first time attending the watermelon fest at this park. It was cool. The only thing I did not like was the dirt in the parking lot and inside the park in certain spots, which caused dust to fly through the air into my lungs the entire time as people were driving and walking.

Beautiful and clean dirt trail along with a long stretch of concrete for bikers or walkers. The actual park itself is gigantic and enough space for multiple parties. There was a lot of trash but maybe because there was an event happening when I went. Someone did steal my water which kinda sucked. I really enjoyed the skatepark and it is friendly to all ages. I would come back to explore the trail more and skate when it's not so busy.

A big and beautiful park with a variety of things to do. I parked by the ranger station with us near Osborn and Dronfield. Then went running along the overlook trail. It's a beautiful trail that is about 2 miles each way and connects to a bunch of other trails. Great views of the lake and park on one side and the golf course on the other. I went in spring that there were so many flowers blooming. It was cool to see people riding horses too. And there was a spot to see the dam. The trail was paved, had lanes for different directions, and was very wide. I went on Sunday at 9am and there was ample parking as well as tons of space on the trail. Not crowded at all. Can't wait to come back to explore more.

Parking can be horrible. Park far and walk is what I recommend because near the mile walk people are very rude and inpatient. My friend got in a fender bender with someone who couldn't wait and tried to fit his giant trunk through her car and another which he ended up hitting her. We frequent the running path on weekends and it's awesome. We tend to run about 5 to 9 miles which is easy and on the safe side. You do run into a few occasional homeless people but they aren't on the running path. The road is paved. No bathroom. No water fountain.

Nice park. I went on a random day with my aunt's dog and there was a huge huge line for COVID testing. The park itself felt very safe to walk around. There are paths and some trails that you can follow. There was also a man-made water lake(?) that was very nice to walk around. Someone was in the little security hut watching the area so yes, it did feel safe. The walk was great for scenery and looking at the hills, seeing the trees, and everything. There weren't a lot of people when I went... so it really just felt like peace, tranquility, and nature.

This ain't the Hoover Dam, folks... But who cares? It's kinda cool that there's a dam out in the Valley. A friend of mine brings her kids here during the summer. There's an adjacent aquatic center. Not being a fan of public pools, I've tended to take a pass. However, I did visit the lake for an event called 1000 Lights, in which participants set a lantern afloat on the water after sunset. I decorated several lanterns in remembrance of several relatives who have passed away. It was a beautiful event, and seeing hundreds (not sure if there were actually 1000 of them) of floating lanterns on the lake was a sight to behold. Gorgeous and peaceful. I liked the fact there was plenty of parking and the lake water looked clean. The event had lots of food trucks, good music, and was extremely well-organized. I understand you can go fishing in the lake as well, so I may be back for that.

Favorite childhood park. Up to now, best spot not just because it it local but I love the view one gets up there. It's. It to far of a walk, it's approximately 5 miles round trip. 2.5 miles up to the end and 2.5 coming back to the parking lot.

When you need some R&R this is a great Park. It's huge and has plenty of Free Parking. Everyone just sticks there own which is cool I guess.... This park had pretty much everything Except a out door or indoor Bball courts. It has a library, huge playground, soccer field a dry dam, water park and fishing area all within a walk or a small drive. Lots of trees. ...

View from our cabana edge facing the beach, pool, and water slides in the background.

Super rude staff. It's not about rules; it's about the way they communicate with patrons.

I put it in my gps and found parking pretty easily. As we got off I noticed we can do the reservoir trail, which is flat gravel, and goes around the lake or we can hike up the mountains to the Hollywood sign. Being that it's summer we decided to do the flat trail that was surrounded by shade. As soon as we walked in my friend haven't noticed but I saw a deer really close to us. We sat in silenced for a while, it was beautiful. Since there is a fence around the reservoir I'm sure most animal will be on the other side, where the trees and mountains are. So it's not close enough where you can touch it. The walk is a 3 mile loop, very beautiful!!!! I mean we were in absolutely aw of the nature, trees, lake, wild life, just everything. Also I think it was very nice that it was my first time exploring. I definitely can't wait to come back again.

Not really safe from city thieves! my car was broken into twice with stuff in my bags stolen. Very odd because I wasn't suspicious of that place because it's a very nice area and I been coming here for years. At first, I wasn't able to pinpoint this was the place my things were stolen for two reasons: the thieves did not take my bags, instead they opened the bags and removed the credit cards and cash I had. Which prevented me from noticing immediately. And second reason was there was no clear signs of break in until the second time my glove box was left open and my bags moved around. I think the thieves are professionals of some sort and know there way around the alarm or the door key holders because I definitely locked my car both times my stuff was stolen
