    Sunrise molcajete

Happy Burrito has been a staple in the Bennett community for quite a few years. They recently updated their menu and put some work into creating and updating their dishes. They have kept all of their classic dishes like the birra and tacos. The most important update is that they are now open for dinner! They open Monday through Thursday until 8:30 and until 9:30 the rest of the week, which is amazing! I believe they have their breakfast menu until 2:00pm then switch to dinner. I haven't tried all of their new dishes yet but I'm going through them one by one. They have a soup of the day now with tortilla soup, carrot soup, and potato soup on rotation, along with a few others. The tortilla soup and the carrot soup are vegetarian. They have a few designated vegetarian dishes on their menu snd are good about substitutions if you ask. I have tried their power bowl, their sunrise molcajete , the fried talamoa, and their angel burrito. I haven't had a bad soup yet. It's great to see them expand and try new items. I'm looking forward to trying the rest! The service, as always is attentive and earnest, and the servers all seem enthusiastic about the updated menu too.

Wow. Incredible. Best Mexican breakfast we've ever had. I had the Huevos Divorciados which was amazing but everyone's breakfast was equally good. This place is a must visit.

Today we tried Happy Burrito for breakfast for the first time. They have eat-in space but we took our breakfast to go. We tried the Huevos Rancheros (gluten free with corn tortillas and very good), the classic breakfast burrito without cheese for a dairy free family member (he had no complaints; gone in no time) and a burrito supreme. We also got some horchata, which was quite tasty but could have more cinnamon for my taste. I ordered the burrito supreme with mild chili but it was so spicy I could hardly eat it. We'd go again; fresh food, tasty and clean.

Having been a Bennett resident for the past three years, it's safe to say that I have def made my rounds to all the restaurants in the area, including Happy Burrito Mexican Restaurant. PROs: ++ Like other reviewers mention, they have a great grab and go system for breakfast burritos in the morning. At a mere $2, you can't beat that!! ++ Pricing is on point for the regular menu as well. ++ Service has always been quick and efficient. CONs: -- Def a no frills restaurant. -- The parking lot is somewhat small, not paved, and full of huge potholes that (in bad weather) can be a complete disaster. -- During the lunch hour it fills up! Plan accordingly. While it's not the first Mexican restaurant on my list Happy Burrito is def a solid choice for some good Mexican food on the plains! **Pro Tip: Try the lunch burrito with carnitas and smothered with mild green chile! It's my personal favorite!!

From the moment I walked in until the moment I left, I was consistently greeted, checked on, and even had the manager come over to introduce himself and see how everything was going. That level of hospitality really sets a restaurant apart. The service felt more like being welcomed into a friend's home than dining out, which was such a refreshing experience. The fajitas were very tasty and delicious--no complaints at all there. The toasted michelada was okay; I might suggest a salted or Tajín rim to enhance the flavor a bit more. The atmosphere had great Mexican vibes that I really enjoyed. Overall, thank you for a wonderful experience. I'll definitely be back!

The only downside was that bar service was a bit slow, but it was clear the bartender was working hard and handling a busy crowd on their own. Despite this, the margaritas were made to perfection! The queso blanco is delicious, the salsa is a bit on the runny and mild side, but overall, good.. especially with the fresh, house-made chips. I ordered the fish and shrimp fajitas, and while the seafood was cooked perfectly, the overall dish was a bit under-seasoned and left me wanting more flavor. That said, the menu has so many great options that I'd definitely come back and try something different. Overall, it was a good experience, and I'm looking forward to giving them another visit.

So we made our way to Tractor Supply, where they typically set up shop, to do just that! STAR #1 - Convenient! They are set up at Tractor Supply in Bennett, Tuesday through Saturday for your consome loving enjoyment. STAR #2 - La Unica Birria de Res 2 offers up a variety of dishes including, street tacos, quesabirria tacos, quesadilla, tortas, burritos, and... wait for it - birria ramen! Yum! They also have a small selection of glass bottled sodas such as Coke, Fanta, Sprite and Jarritos. STAR #3 - The flavors were so good! I noshed on two shredded beef quesabirria tacos, consome for dipping, and an order of the birria ramen. My husband noshed on four street tacos: two chicken, a steak, and a pork. We loved everything! The tacos came with lime slices and a selection of 3 salsas. STAR #4 - The staff was super friendly. I was debating my protein choice, steak or shredded beef, for my tacos and she expertly suggested the shredded beef. Don't be afraid to ask for tips. They're happy to help! STAR #5 - Pricing was on point. At $3 a piece for the street tacos, $4 a piece for the queasbirria tacos, and $14 for the birria ramen, I'd have to say they know their market. Don't be shy with the napkins, because you are going to need them! I mean this in the best way possible. La Unica Birria de Res 2 definitely satisfied our Mexican street food cravings. I can't wait to go back! **Pro Tip: If you head there on the 1st, 3rd, or 5th Saturday of the month you can check out many other local vendors too!

We understand they're probably still working through some challenges since this was only their second night back. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. The restaurant's posted closing time is 10:00 p.m., but around 9:37 p.m. the lights were shut off while we were still dining, which made us feel rushed and unwelcome. To make matters worse, our waitress disappeared for the last 30-40 minutes of our meal. We never saw her again to check on us, refill drinks, or bring our check. We ended up having to get the hostess to help us so we could pay and leave. We genuinely wanted to support the restaurant and hope this was just part of the growing pains of reopening. However, if the kitchen or dining room needs to close earlier during this period, it would be much better to communicate that to customers rather than making guests feel rushed out before the posted closing time. We truly hope things improve because we've enjoyed coming here in the past and want to continue supporting the restaurant.

So ordered drinks and food at the same time. Our server did forget our waters and food came out before. Ordered queso, ceviche, beef and jumbo shrimp fajitas. Queso was really good and actually filled with chilis, onions, tomatoes, etc. (blended not chunks). Ceviche was okay, need more spice and seasoning. Fajitas were very good and the tortillas they make are excellent. I know most places don't do it for fajitas but it would be great to have it mid rare or medium rare Comfortable seating and clean restaurant

The street taco plate was delicious and you can't go wrong with the carnitas. The Burrito smothered in green chile was also fantastic and the pickled onions and queso Fresca elevated some different notes. For two people, ordered a set of 3 tacos (2x barbacoa and carnitas) and then another 3 tacos (asada, carnitas, and pastor), birria egg rolls, and a bean, cheese, and rice burrito. Not a big deal but they put all the tacos in one box and I was able to differentiate which 3 tacos that I ordered. This place is super stingy with salsa. They gave me 2 tiny containers for salsa and then when I asked for a couple more, the lady said she could only give me two more. :( Excited to try the food and started off great with a simple bean, cheese, and rice burrito but outside of that everything else was very meh. Not sure how but all the meats were so dry, I ordered braised/slow cooked meats (barbacoa and carnitas). Asada and pastor were okay as well. Everything lacked seasoning and the salsa didn't add much to the tacos either. Birria tacos were also dry and consommé needed salt to be added. Value was not bad at $37.64. Tacos were about $3-3.20 per
