This business is now called Omaha Z shuttle. I made an online reservation a few weeks back to be picked up from my home to the airport. The online reminders and text messages were helpful. The driver called 30 minutes ahead of time to tell me he was on his way. Unfortunately, he arrived late. I called to tell him that if he didn't arrive in 5 minutes, I would cancel the reservation. He said he was there, but I was standing outside and told him he wasn't in front of the house. He then said he was a minute away. He didn't even get out of the van to help with my luggage, and I pre-tipped 20%, which ended up being a mistake. I won't be using this service in the future. read more

Unreliable and inconsiderate. They are con artists. We our about to miss our flight because of them. Details: We called a day before to reserve a cab and stressed that we need our cab to arrive at 8 30 am. The next day we called at 8 am to confirm that we need the cab on time and we informed them that we have an international flight at the airport and can't be late. At 8 45 am the cab still wasn't there so we called again asking where our cab is and they said it still hasn't been dispatched and not to worry. At 9 05 am still no cab and when we called for the third time they still hadn't dispatchrd the cab. We had to cancel and ended up calling an an uber. Also, everytime i called to explain our problem the employee on the other end of phone's voice was so far away, they were so nonchalant about our problem and took no action. Zero customer service! When I lived in Lincoln, the addition of Happy cab made life so much easier. the overall fares went down because Cornhusker Cab Co. had to fight not to lose business. You could call Happy and get picked up and pay less. That was Lincoln. Welcome to Omaha. here Happy cab is slower than riding your bike. On more than one occasion they have had guests waiting in excess of one hour. Today was no different. It shouldn't matter that because of Berkshire landing at the airport, nobody wants to leave that area to take someone TO the airport. This affects people's lives. This is about service and professionalism. This is not what Happy cab has. Happy Cab Co. has rude drivers. Happy has no sense of urgency. Happy has to go. I can't wait until other services like some that are currently in the works and on the streets to take over the reign. Our cab driver took us from the airport to an address in Council Bluffs after he found out we do not live in Omaha and don't know the area. We arrived at the wrong location, and then we told him we needed to get to the place we had specified in Omaha. My coworker and I came to Omaha for work and had to be there in order to start on time on Monday. The cab driver charged us the full amount which was $43 just for the few miles he should have driven from the airport to the office in Omaha we had to be at. Coming back to the airport today from that office with another cab company (City Taxi) cost us $7 including tip. Avoid Happy Cab. Amended: We contacted the taxi company and got a very nice and quick response. We will be getting a refund. Great to know they are responsive - I hope the cab driver will be talked to. read more

The good: after watching the bus blitz right by despite me sitting there, I called up Happy Cab and they sent a cab right over. Now, I live in Benson, right down the street from a hotbed of taxi activity, so maybe I was lucky. It took less than 10 minute. My driver was friendly, professional, knew exactly where I wanted to go and got me there quickly. The bad: A $3.00 credit card fee on a $10.00 fare? Are you kidding me?! No mention of the fee (and they ASKED if I was paying cash or card). Enjoy my $3.00 that you jacked. It will be the last you get from me. read more

I have used Happy Cab in Lincoln, NE a number of times. They are by far the best cab company operating in Lincoln. A ride from my home to the airport was almost DOUBLE from Capital Cab/Yellow Cab (I believe those two are the same company - and they're awful). Today Happy Cab dispatch and driver saved my butt! I made a stupid mistake and forgot an important item before a job interview. I realized when I was on the bus, hopped off the bus to go retrieve said important item, called Happy Cab and asked the dispatch worker if there was any way they could get me a cab in 5 minutes. "No" is the standard answer. I explained the situation and my haste and she kindly switched the priority and redirected a nearby cab to my home. The cab driver was there when I got there, I grabbed what I needed, and he got me to my interview on time. I am confident that if Happy Cab were not operating in Lincoln, I would have been late for an important interview with the President of a company. I am so thankful they are here when I need them. Are they perfect? No, of course not. In bigger cities I think it would be reasonable to expect more from a cab company, but in Lincoln, NE they are the most reliable AND affordable by far! I avoid the other company as much as I can. They have had a monopoly for too long and have from complacent offering shoddy service for exorbitant rates. read more

I called the day before to reserve a cab for a 4:00 AM departure. I asked the dispatcher if she could guarantee that it would be on time. She explained that they can never guarantee anything due to circumstances beyond their control such as traffic or cars breaking down. That's reasonable. However, because I was going to the train station and needed to be on time to catch my train, she said that she could mark my ride as "priority." The next morning at 3:55, I got a call from the driver. He was half a block over from where I had asked to be picked up, but I will excuse this because 1) I was on a college campus and the roads don't run straight through it, and 2) he called before the scheduled pickup time to check with me about where I should meet him. As soon as he started driving, he turned the meter on, so I knew exactly how much I was being charged. I thought the fare was reasonable - $8.41 (round up to $10 for the tip) for a three mile ride. The driver made a small attempt at conversation, asking where I was heading. The largest downside to the entire experience was the fact that the cab smelled pretty heavily of smoke. read more

I have had several negative experiences with Happy Cab and their affiliates. A few of the lowlights include several occasions of cab drivers telling me their credit card machines were not functioning. I told the cab company when ordering the ride, I would be paying with a credit card. Despite this, a driver with a "broken"credit card machine answered the call. During the rides it seemed fairly obvious the driver's card machine was actually working and the driver simply wanted to be paid in cash rather than credit. Additionally, my girlfriend's phone fell out of her purse during one specific cab ride home. The following morning we were able to locate her phone through the "Find My iPhone" app. After calling the phone we were able to determine the phone had been sold on the street by the cab driver. To summarize, I have had good drivers and experiences with Happy Cab and their affiliates. However, the numerous negative experiences I have described above outweigh the positives and make Happy Cab a service used out of necessity and not by choice. read more

Driver quoted exorbitant sum (25 dollars for a less than 10 min no traffic journey ) with no reason and intentionally did Not turn on his meter. I assumed it was because Im from Europe. Insisted on cash and could not provide receipt for the trip. Plain scamming tactics . Negotiated down to $15 in the end as I was afraid he might get violent. Car license plate no : VYN 975. If I could give zero stars I would!!!! Had a scheduled pick up 5 days a week for a short amount of time. Of the 9 times they were to come pick us up for school 2 were no shows, 4 were on time and 4 were late. The last incident when there was a no show the dispatcher was called to see what was going on. The dispatcher stated they didn't have anyone available. When asked if a phone call should have been made to make us aware of the situation we were told "No". Worst Cab experience ever. Eventually just hailed a cab and was late anyhow. I called in and asked my first question, can you schedule a pick up at a specific time. A: What address? I responded, Jackson Street Tavern, but can you schedule a time in advance? A: Yes. 20 minutes after the scheduled time: Called in -- same drill -- What address? Wait, did you call in earlier? Me: Yes, and I scheduled a pick up. Them: Oh, we don't do that. Do you still want a cab? Me: Only if it can get here in 5-10 minutes. Them: So, yes or no? Me: Sure. (40 minutes later I get a call from the cab) Driver: I am here to pick you up. Me: I am already at my destination. Ordered a cab from this company the night before, to take us to the airport for an early flight. After the dispatcher lied that they were about 5. - 7 minutes, he finally showed up, 40 minutes late. Then he drove like a maniac to the airport, and got pulled over by the police. Then he didn't have his drivers' license on him. We made our flight, but had an hour of pure stress. Two things to bear in mind. Happy Cab tells you they don't guarantee pickup. They really mean that. Of course, a cab company you can't rely on to show up is useless. Second, they operate ands of cab handled by a singe dispatcher. It's probably best to avoid them all. read more

One of the worst experiences in a cab, ever! About 1/2 mile from my home at 4am, I asked the driver why his headlights weren't on, and he said they hadn't been working all night. The roads were snowpacked and slippery and it was very dark on this 19 degree morning in December. He tried to get the lights to turn on by flipping various switches, but none of them did the trick. We are now a mile from home and the driver decides to pull over to see if he can get the lights to work. The declining roadway is slippery and he struggles to get the car to stop, so he throws the transmission into park while the car is moving, which of course doesn't stop the car, so he shifts back into park. The car eventually stops and once turned off, won't start again. He turns the engine so many times the battery dies. While this is happening we are both calling dispatch to send another cab to release me from this death trap. The cabbie explained to me that almost all of the cab companies in Omaha are owned by the same company... Happy Cab, Yellow, Cornhusker, and that it would do no good to call another company for assistance... the management is the same. No help arrives for an hour. Luckily, the driver has a friend working for the same cab company who swings by to get me... and then the trunk on the cab won't open because the battery/engine is dead. He finally figures out how to use the key to open the trunk, retrieves my luggage and the ride to the airport in the other cab is fine. I arrived at the airport for my trip towing three bags, as the plane is loading. Fortunately, the very nice people in line allow me to cut to the front of the baggage line (probably ahead of 60 people) after I briefly explain the situation. Avoid cabs in Omaha if at all possible. read more

I had very nice experience with "Prince" today. He was 10 minutes early. Got me to the airport quickly. Can't complain.

Estimated time before your cab arrives... HA! Take whatever they tell you then add an hour. Then expect to pay far too much because the driver will drive in opposite direction of your destination and cannot recognize major streets when on them. To top the experience off, the driver will write down your credit card info, even though you told the dispatcher you would be paying via credit card. So you will then have joy of watching your statement like a hawk. I will never use this company again. I would rather drive drunk then deal with this horrible service read more

I order a cab for a vey early flight. The driver is a few minutes early which is always a bonus. And thank goodness because it took 10 minutes at the airport to try to process a credit card. Wake up cab company! If you want to provide good service, give your drivers the tools. This is a ripe market for a good company to come in and show you how it's done. Don't even think about using Happy Cab at Lincoln airport unless you're willing to wait 30 minutes for a ride. We were told that we couldn't reserve a cab for our 12:20 am arrival, so we called dispatch the moment our plane touched down, and were told to just look outside, there would be a cab or two waiting. Not true. (Dispatch is in Omaha, and clearly is clueless about what happens in Lincoln.) As a backup, while still on the runway, we used the Happy Cab app to request a ride. Still nothing. A couple of other passengers confirmed their similarly bad experiences. Fortunately, another local cab service, created by defectors from Happy Cab, had a car waiting for a client who was willing to share the ride with us. We finally had a call from Happy Cab, 30 minutes later, when the other service had us nearly home. I can't speak for their in-town service, but based on multiple reports, I would never recommend Happy Cab for airport service. read more

Horrible experience. Took the taxi (only because I misplaced my phone and could not use Lyft/Uber from the airport to Jenny Edmonson Hospital. The driver immediately seemed upset that I was making him drive so far (it's only about a 15 minute drive) and also that I was unable to pull up directions for him on my phone. When we arrived at the destination his Square wouldn't work to process my credit card because we were parked so close to the building. I advised him to move away a bit from the building to improve the internet connection and he started raising his voice at me in his middle eastern dialect. The problem was his English was so bad he could not understand what I was saying and kept insisting my credit card was not working. I assured him it was working just fine since I just used it at the airport. After he got upset and ranted some more he finally understood my charades and moved his car down the hill a bit and voila! ~ my credit card worked just fine. At this point the driver pointed out the tip line twice. Nuts. I called the main line today for Happy Cab/Ztrip and reported the incident. The man I spoke seemed like he cared. Hopefully the driver will be reprimanded for his terrible service and behavior. read more

Booked a cab for my wife online last night for a 4:20am pickup this morning. No cab at 4:20am. Checked the app and it said that a cab couldn't even be found. Waited 20 minutes: no cab, no update. Had to jump in the car with my family, including getting my kid out of bed, to speed my wife to airport at 4:45am. Terrible. read more

RIDE A BIKE, TAKE A BUS, CALL AN UBER, HITCH HIKE IF YOU MUST - DO NOT USE THIS CAB COMPANY. Don't know where they find these people but the cab drivers are horrible and unsafe. For example, a driver actually MADE us - us being 2 strangers going to 2 different neighborhoods waiting in line at the airport - share a cab because "no more were coming" then while we were en route refused to start the meter and wanted to charge us each 2.5 x the normal fare, quoted us both totally random numbers, than yelled at me saying that I didn't know what I was talking about and essentially kicked me out of the cab without giving me his information as requested. I live here, travel often and thus take this 6 minute car ride at least 2-4x per month. He brought me BACK to the airport, having refused to let me out of the car until then. I then had to get back in line, wait for another driver who kindly started the meter without my asking ... but then proceeded to take the LONGEST most asinine route possible to my house. When I asked why he was driving through Creighton's campus he started rambling nonsense under his breath and was ridiculously rude. I get that it's spirit week at Berkshire and everyone wants a slice but COME ON! read more

Had a promotional deal going on for first time riders. Download an iPhone app, create an account, and reserve a cab and get $20 off. Tried that, the app crashed. Afterward I couldn't log on with the account I made. Called dispatch and the lady didn't know anything about the app so had to find a manger. She said they are aware that their website is currently down and therefore the app won't work. I asked if they could give me the promo over the phone and they said no, only online. But their site is down, so no way to reserve a cab online. So basically no promo because their website is broken, and nothing they are willing to do about it until the site is fixed. I was not happy with their service, and there are several other cabs in Lincoln, so they lost my business. read more
