Another smaller airport that makes landing at or stopping by for a layover a way better experience than bigger airports like LAX. I was here during the college World Series and a 13u and 11u baseball tournament in Omaha, so the airport was pretty packed and it was kind of hard to walk around terminal B. Not sure how busy they are when these events aren't going on. However, it was still pretty easy to find somewhere to sit. Still a lot of the airport is under construction, but signs are easy to read and it was a breeze to go from the car rental drop off to the terminal because the airport isn't that big. I have TSA pre check, so it took a few minutes to get through security. The other lines were actually moving pretty fast, too. Bathrooms were clean and there were several food options. All of the workers I dealt with were friendly and helpful. Cool little airport with some nice views of the airfield and surrounding countryside. read more

Mothers room review for the breastfeeding mamas out there. There's 1 mother's room in each terminal. Currently the terminals aren't connected so if it's occupied you have to wait (which sometimes isn't an option for you/baby). I experienced terminal B not sure if A has the same set up. There's no sink which is really unfortunate for washing hands or pumping parts. There is an outlet right next to the chair if you need it for your pump. There's also a changing table that didn't seem great but was workable. read more

Landed in Omaha at nearly 2am and the airport felt safe and had helpful staff available to answer questions at that time. It has a well lit passenger pick up area for rideshare pickups that I felt comfortable waiting at. During the daytime, you have a couple of food options available, but nothing special or notable enough to mention. If you can, plan out your meal before/after arriving at Eppley Airfield. The airport is expanding and therefore a work in progress. Since it has not had an upgrade in a long time, it was overdue. The addition will have international flights, primarily to Mexico I think, but don't quote me. Eppley is kind of a relief because it's so manageable and easy to navigate (except for parking) compared to LAX, ATL, and SYD. Today the red and green lights that indicate an empty space seemed to be malfunctioning because where the green indicated empty space, mostly they were not. As of this writing, this is a small airport undergoing considerable expansion. The construction does create significant inconveniences, but it is still functional and has the advantages of a smaller airport in terms of walkability and short security lines. Precheck was definitely an advantage. The airport, in which I experienced a significant travel delay (although this was actually due to Canadian smoke causing delays at my destination airport) had somewhat limited charging stations but functional wifi and passable concession options. It does not, in its present form, have much in the ay of luxury spots to recline in or local flavor, but maybe the expansion will change that. read more

This is a relatively small airport. Used only concourse B so this review is based on that experience. Finding the TSA screening area can be confusing. It's located on the second floor. TSA check was quick. At the gate area, there is only one store that sells snacks, some souvenir items (mugs, keychains, magnets, t-shirts, caps, hoodies and sweaters), books, and some electronics in the area where gates B11-B18 are. Runway 14R is the only restaurant in the area. There are charging stations/outlets sandwiched between seats of 5 arranged back to back. Seats are a little bit outdated but still not bad. read more

This is a small airport in a small/medium size city. The only nice thing about it during my visit was that this airport is only 3 miles from downtown Omaha. But otherwise, this airport was undergoing a substantial renovation inside, which made it terribly congested and nasty looking. I get that so many airports need to be upgraded, but having traveled via air nearly weekly for the past 5 years, it's quite annoying that almost every new airport I visit is under construction. read more

Easiest airport ever to get through. I've never waited too long to get to my gate. I've only flown out of the southwest terminals, so i am speaking about this area. Baggage check in and claim are easy as well. There is construction ongoing,so that can be a little confusing. read more

Horrible, horrible airport. Construction is NO EXCUSE for dumb decisions and non maintanence. I was in the A terminal and the men's room stalls needed UNCLOGGING. 2 of 4 stalls were LOCKED from the inside and the open ones OVERFLOWING. This is the ONLY restroom after security. There was NO AIRPORT staff on this side of security. Airlines, concessions, and TSA but no one to notify about the issue. I eventually Googled the main line and called! You can be SMALL and GOOD. There are many good regional airports. Also, the airport FAILED to THINK about less than abled people. With the construction detour through the garage a person in a wheelchair must be pushed or walk a long distance! Yet construction crews are RIGHT IN FRONT of BOTH terminals for their CONVENIENCE. I had to sit my 85 year old mother on a bench in the parking garage. Return the rental car and then FIND a policeman who called the wheelchair assistance group to pick her up! NO information posted anywhere, NOTHING ONLINE. Their website was a JOKE! Their map for the airport does NOT SHOW SECURITY checkpoints! DO BETTER! THINK! WORK HARDER! This is the problem in a state where consideration for anything different is discouraged, ignored, or punished, they LACK LIFE EXPERIENCE and the CURIOSITY of thinking through ALL NEEDS. I have been in and out of this small town airport several times in the past 10 years. I have even walked from the Amtrack Station in Omaha all the way here. There is mostly a good walking path until you get closer to the airport. Recently they've been remodeling the whole airport. Food wise, there is not as much to eat here since the reconstruction. They have a City Market on both Terminals. In order to walk between Terminals you have to go outside or cross the bridge and go in the pick up/drop off structure. I know there is one restaurant past the TSA which has a decent selection of items. I love coming through this airport cause I know I'm usually going to see my brother, his wife, and my nephew, my dad and stepmom, or some of my good friends who pick me up. If you get a rental car out of here, it's really convenient and easy to get to with a little walk. I can't wait to come back through here and for when they finish all the reconstruction improvements!!! read more

Construction continues to improve and update our local airport. Small in size relative to some, this transportation hub serves a surprisingly large number of airlines. Drop off has been made a lot easier with more lanes outside the terminal, but be patient until work is done for ease of access. I am not a regular travelerby any means, but I have been to enough airports to be able to rate this one. The airport seems like it's been under constant construction for nearly a decade... but, the airport continues to be well managed. Parking is reasonable and accessible. The terminal layout is efficient and security is quick and most are pretty friendly compared to what you might think about TSA. Food outsides are reasonable too. Overall, the lack of direct flights due to size and construction are my only downgrades to this one. read more

Small airport! Make sure to pack sandwiches or buy food before you come to the airport because there are slim pickings. You can get a smoothie drink, personal pan pizza, cheeseburger, once cleared TSA. Expensive, but it's your only option. Did you know: You can have ice (no liquids..drink it or pour out) in a container, going through TSA, and it is okay, because it is a SOLID?'!? My tip would be to pack whatever it is you will need, if you plan to come to the airport hungry. If you came to drink before your flight, this is the area where I feel they succeed in. Great drinking atmosphere, close to gates that are within 200 yards apart. Someone will yell for you to let you know the flight is boarding! Lol. read more

Smaller airport than I was thinking. It's late, but we finally made it after maintenance issues on our first flight out from Grand Forks, which caused us to be late for our connecting flight. GFK staff were trying to book us a connection the next day, but Delta staff at MSP were luckily able to get us in the same day, even if it was late. Most of the airport looks to be under construction. Everything is closed, since it's so late tonight. Some confusion on which conveyer our bags were being dropped off, no dice on the first. Second time was a charm at least. read more

I am so spoiled to be a native Oregonian because PDX is the most beautiful airport in the USA. I was shocked at the state of the Omaha airport. It is under construction. PDX had recently been renovated so I know what construction/remodel can do to an airport but PDX did it SO WELL. The airport was just dirty, confusing, the way they closed the airport into two sections, where they had ride share pick up...the signage wasn't well placed and it made no sense at all. There's only 2 places to eat with the same vendor so food offerings are slim. I hope it turns out better because this gets a 1 in my book! I have no photos sorry!! read more

The food options at this airport is worse than a grammar school cafeteria. We were forced to pay $54 for nasty pulled pork sandwich, lukewarm and rubbery chicken tenders and soggy potato wedges. Absolutely AWFUL. The Omaha Airport needs to make things better. read more

This is a very small airport that is easy to get in and out of. The staff there is very friendly and helpful. The airport is very clean. You do not have to take a shuttle to get to the rental car facility, but it is not located in the terminal. You will find it in the adjacent customer service building. The airport is about 10 or 15 minutes from downtown and most hotels have shuttle service. The airport consists of a single terminal with two small concourses (A&B), spread across 20 gates (ten gates per concourse). They have very limited food and shopping options. Some of the shopping options include: Godfather's Pizza, A&W, KFC, and Blimpie. This is one of the few airports that doesn't have a Starbucks. The gates are basic and not all seats have power outlets. They are your standard old traditionl chairs. You know, the uncomfortable vinyl ones. You will find a lounge area just outside each terminal, and a bunch of lounge chairs on the walkway between the two terminals. Of course there is free wifi at the airport and there are large and small conference rooms are available for rent in the north terminal. Other airport amenities include a first aid room, and service animal relief areas on the lower level and a nursing room on the upper level. I liked this airport it is an easy in and an easy out. It is not the most trendy or high tech airport, but it works. It is not my favorite airport, but I enjoyed my stress-free transit through here. read more

Thanks, TSA, for continuing to work with no pay. You got me through security very quickly. Once inside the Omaha airport terminal, however, the food services are abysmal. Pet peeve: NO prices listed for most bottled beverages (water, Coke, etc.). Nope, not buying it unless you can tell me how much it is. Eppley Field management, it would be great if you would tell the vendors that if they won't list prices they won't be allowed to operate. Only 1 gift shop and 1 restaurant on each concourse, and everything is way too expensive. It cost me $31 for a chicken sandwich, and bottle of water, and a bag of chips...ridiculous. At least getting through the security checkpoint wasn't a hassle. read more

We returned our rental car and walked over to concourse A. There was a lot of construction in between. The TSA precheck line was short. When we got to the A gates, it was quite crowded. There seemed to be only one set of bathrooms, and there was usually a line for the women's. read more

A smaller airport in Omaha, but fairly simple to navigate. It has a slightly out of date decor, but was fairly clean. I appreciate how the rental car center is next to the airport, connected by a skybridge. It is so easy to navigate your way to and through Omaha. AIRPORT: This is a large airport with small town airport vibes. Security is quick, flights are timely, and there's plenty of space to stretch out as you wait. As Yelper Valerie G. mentioned, "the airport is functional, easy to use, and simple." This would warrant a 4 star review, however, the FOOD SCENE... ...is a hot mess. Despite getting to the airport at 5 p.m., everything outside of security (except the coffee shop) was closed. The airport website suggests things close at 6 p.m. The remaining choice is Kracky McGee's (Concourse A) or North Hangar (Concourse B). After two visits, I get the feeling no one wants to be working the late shift at OMA. Do yourself a favor, get some food BEFORE you go through security and take advantage of what Eppley does best. read more

That said, it definitely feels like the oldest airport I've been to (though signage says that remodeling is happening soon) -- it's lacking any modern art or architecture and feels very boxy. There are very few dining options, and not many charging stations around the gates. So while it's easy to fly into and out of, a remodel will certainly make this a more enjoyable experience. read more

If you're in the North Terminal, your options for food are Scooters, pizza, or $20 for the driest Blimpe sandwich you've ever eaten. If anyone has complaints about Eppley I would tell them to live in Dallas and travel through both of those airports before you say anything. -__- Easy to park, terminal A is difficult for navigating and for parking right now because of the construction but I am sure once that's complete it will make more sense. I can be dropped off and sitting at my gate within 10 minutes sometimes. I have traveled through both the southwest and American sides multiple times and there's a small food court and scooters before entering through security, and then on the southwest (b terminal) side is a scooters and bar and on the American (a terminal) side is a kracky McGee which is just your average bar. Neither side has had an insane wait for getting through tsa and after 20+ travels through here now I would say 15 min is the most I've ever had to wait. read more

This is a smaller airport, but I like a lot of things about it. For starters, their website is very useful and interactive. Every parking spot even tells you how full it is by %. They have two concourses with a large space between them. So you would have to leave security in Concourse A to go to Concourse B. I arrived at Concourse A. It's tight and crowded. I still had to wait 2 hours for the rest of my party. So if you just leave security you will find lots of space. Love the individual work couches. read more

Overall this airport was easy to navigate. Upon arrival we had to go downstairs to the baggage claim, then go back upstairs to head over to the car rental garage. When you leave, especially if you rented a car, remember that the bag check-in is downstairs and you'll have to go back upstairs to go through TSA. There are some shops and spots to grab food or drinks before having to go through security, which I'd recommend since I only saw 1 or 2 places to do so in the gate area. read more

This was my first time flying out of this airport. Overall, I had a great experience with limited comments. Arriving is always a challenge I feel like with the constant construction. Upon arrival, I had a twenty minute wait to go through TSA. I love there's a Scooter's coffee station right after TSA. Very few gates to choose from which makes navigation easy. Airport operations is sincerely suffering. It was only Thursday when I arrived here and it took 20 minutes for them to find someone to operate the jet bridge. Wow!!! Then, departing today, their fuel truck operator did not put enough fuel in one side of the aircraft, which meant that we are already 20 minutes after our departure time and will likely be 40 minutes before we depart. This being said, the first level men's restroom was absolutely horrid and a mess. Omaha, GET IT TOGETHER! Eppley is great for a smaller airport. I wish they had more options for hot food and drinks beyond the security checkpoints. 99%of their food is before you go through TSA and you can't bring anything through. The food option they have near the gates is bland and basic. Aside from the food, the airport is clean and has a moderate amount of plug ins for charging your devices.
