Had a promotional deal going on for first time riders. Download an iPhone app, create an account, and reserve a cab and get $20 off. Tried that, the app crashed. Afterward I couldn't log on with the account I made. Called dispatch and the lady didn't know anything about the app so had to find a manger. She said they are aware that their website is currently down and therefore the app won't work. I asked if they could give me the promo over the phone and they said no, only online. But their site is down, so no way to reserve a cab online. So basically no promo because their website is broken, and nothing they are willing to do about it until the site is fixed. I was not happy with their service, and there are several other cabs in Lincoln, so they lost my business. read more

We called to go out to Dave and Busters. We called and had to wait 40 minutes to get picked up. Then later when we were ready to leave we called, said we are at Dave and Busters. The dispatcher asked for an address. We don't know the address, it's the only Dave and Busters in Omaha. She refused to look it up. Told us to look it up and call her back. Needless to say we took our first Uber ride last night and won't go back to this cab company. read more

Lincoln - scheduled a pickup the day before for the next morning, at 5am. I did this because I had an AM flight, and although Uber and Lyft [ my usual go to, I am a Millennial after al], allowed me schedule the trip in advanced I was not receiving any matches for my ride. I called and emphasized I needed the cab at 5am, after reading reviews I now see they do not guarantee pick-up time, however, the woman I scheduled with never, not once told me this. At 5am, my pickup time, they called to tell me the taxi would not be arriving. When I asked when he would be the man rudely told me he didn't know and he couldn't tell me when, but he would call me back if they could get one out. I told him I would be looking for alternatives. I obviously made alternative plans, thank you ol' faithful Uber. 15 minuted later he calls, basically screams at me that my cab is outside waiting. I told him I wasn't there and had made alternative plans. He was rude and told me I should have called him back, and proceeded to speak to me in a very rude manner chastising me. Needless to say, I hung up, and never again. I'll stick to Uber/Lyft, and no $3 credit card fee. read more

Happy Cab Works for me... I live out west and love the night life down town. I always feared getting a DUI or somthing driving home. About a year ago I started useing Happycab, I came to find out that they also dispatch multiple company's cab's as I would get a Yellow cab or Checker Cab sometimes. At least they have the extra companies to help cover all the rids at nights! Sometimes you have to wait a little longer than 15 minutes but when the bars close I'm sure I'm not the only one calling! haha. A few minutes wait sure beats a DUI!!! read more

I've made the mistake of not listening to my friend's warnings when dealing with Happy Cab. Today I called them for a pick-up at a repair shop on Ft. Crook. I was told it would take them 10-15 to reach me... About 45 minutes later I get a call from the cabbie that was apparent;y lost. After finally giving directions he made it to me and I noticed he had a GPS.. I don't know how you get lost after using a GPS but I gave him the benefit of the doubt. He ended up taking the longest route to my destination, trying to run the charge up as much as possible I presume... I called later for one last pickup, giving the company the benefit of the doubt that the last call was just one batched job.. Nope.. Once again I was told to wait five minutes but ended up waiting close to an hour before a different cab driver called and wanted directions. I promptly told him to cancel this order and I'd find a friend to pick me up. This was a big waste of time and money. Thanks for nothing. read more

Took this cab company for the second and last time last February. Rode from the Amtrak station to the Burlington/Trailways terminal downtown. When the cab arrived, the old, crusty driver didn't even to bother to ask if I needed help, which I did. So when we arrived at the bust station, I tipped him ten bucks and told him to use it as down payment on a life. 8/14/2018 on the way to the hospital to pick up dad our handicap van breaks down. I call Happy Cab to ask if they can transport him. I am specific about the requirements that we have a van with a ramp or lift, and even tell the person on the phone the width of his wheelchair. The helpful man on the phone says there will be no problem, and even provides me with a quote for pickup and delivery. 8/15/2018 Dad is dismissed from hospital, I call Happy Cab to arrange pickup, Happy Cab now claims that they neither own or have ever owned any handicap vans. End result an elderly man in a wheelchair, with one leg, and a head wound sits on the curb for 4 hours in the heat while we find another option. read more

I called for a cab from the No Frills on 36th and Q Street, at 5:18pm January 15th, and waited for the cab to show up. Ordinarily they are on time and very polite, but the dispatcher did not seem to take my call as seriously as I hoped and directed the cab to pick me up from home instead of the grocery store. My family and I ended up walking in the snow to get back home, and had to walk in the street part of the way in order to get there safely.. We made it home ok. By the way, the wait for the cab was supposed to be 5 to 20 minutes, and we waited for over 40 minutes. I am considering an investment in a small car if this happens again. read more

I am not happy with Happy Cab. I am pretty angry. On the way to the movies, it took 25 minutes for 12 minute ride while the cabbie maneuvered through bad roads he did not have to take. Of course it brought cab fare up five more dollars. We are late for the movies yet he picked us up 25 minutes before movie started. We waited two hours for the next showing of movie. We called at 12:30 a.m. for pick up at Great Escape Theatre. We are still waiting at 2:30 a.m. It is freezing rain and my son has a fatal disease. Finally a policeman gives us a ride to the pancake house. I called Happy Cab immediately, pay my food bill immediately before food comes. Saw the phone on cell phone and cab driver said he walked in. Manager and waitress said he did not, he sat in the cab and didn't wait more than a few seconds outside. Call cab company again. It was 5 a.m., and we finally were home. Cab driver told me that Cab Drivers will not pick up at Great Escape Theatre or at the Pancake House on 72nd at night. My son could have died in that freezing rain waiting outside. There has to be a better option to go to the movies at night with a disabled adult son. I really hate Happy Cab. I wanted to see Ride Along because I like comedies and Dustin likes Action. Great Escape was the only theatre showing that movie. I really liked the end of the movie with the barbeque grill. I really liked the off duty cop who works at Great Escape who gave us a ride to the pancake House. I really dislike Happy Cab. Happy Cab has a monopoly on taxis in Omaha. There is nothing but Happy Cab. All the other names for cabs in city of Omaha are really Happy Cab. read more

Stunningly awful. Called for a cab and it took an hour and 45 minutes. On a Tuesday afternoon.... No excuse that it should ever take that long to go anywhere in Omaha. Both times we have called them for a cab to the airport they were late. The first time we waited but the second time after 15 minutes we gave up and drove. They cost us $72 in parking fees we'll never use them again. I'm trying Safeway tomorrow. read more

We scheduled a cab to take us to the airport. The driver was not there at the time scheduled. I called the dispatcher and they said he was almost there. He was twenty minutes late and caused us to miss our flight. This was our honeymoon. I called dispatch again to report the problem. The person that answered stated that they are not responsible for a driver being late and I should not count on them being on time. The weather was good, there was very little traffic, and we had them pick us up at the time they recommended. I will never use this cab company again and recommend that you not use them if you need to be somewhere at any specific time. To make things even worse, they double billed us. read more

unbelievably bad experience. waiting 1 hour and 15 minutes after calling several times and being told first someone was coming, second, they'd try again, and third, keep calling back to see. with all that calling, a cab still didn't arrive until 1 hour and 15 min later. it was 9am on Wed morning - pick up in haymarket. read more

Called the ironically-named Happy Cab twice and left messages both times trying to discuss one of their driver's dangerous activities. "Dan" (if that is his real name) failed to return my calls after several days. Driver of cab #595 was tailgating me (less than a car length at 55mph) east-bound on Highway 370 between 36th and 25th on 28 Feb 17. The cabbie did do me the courtesy of flipping on his/her headlights to ensure I knew I was blocking his path. This was, of course, unnecessary as I could almost read the cab's VIN # by that point. Beware of Happy Cab. I nearly missed my flight, and If it weren't for another cab company, I would have been screwed. Though I made a reservation the day before for an early flight from the Lincoln airport, I got nervous when they hadn't arrived at the appointed time. When I called to find out what was up, I was told "no one has picked up the order yet." My flight was leaving in an hour and fifteen minutes! Driver defrauded my 18-year old daughter traveling alone. Told her credit card did not work and dropped her off at wrong location. She paid cash (including tip!) and then found out her credit card was also charged. Have called to complain and nobody has called me back. Avoid at all costs. read more

The other day, I got a flat tire while taking my grandma to the doctor. I called Happy Cab to take us to the appointment. They refused to pick us up without an exact address. I didn't have an exact address. I explained to dispatch that we were on a street where all the houses had their backyards to the street. I could tell them what intersection I was at, but they refused to send a cab. Luckily, there is more than one cab company in Lincoln, and the other guys were happy to pick us up with just the name of the intersection. read more

I had a terrible experience this morning. First, we thought the cab was coming at 4:40am, but dispatch had the time at 5:10am. We needed to be at the airport for a 6:05am flight. The cab finally showed up, but the driver was completely uninterested in actually driving us anywhere. He shuffled some paperwork around as we sat in front of the hotel for a while. Luckily we had someone else to drive us to the airport or else we would have missed out plane. It was a terrible experience. read more

Omaha...called the front desk at the Marriott, Regency at 4 am because my Uber driver didn't show up. I have attempted to use Lift but had the same problem with them at 4 am! Decided to try asking the front desk what to do, figuring they would have a solution and, boy, did they! They said, "Give me a second,grabbed the phone and called someone: "Hi, Santa, this is Jen. How quickly can you be here? We have a guest whose ride to the airport did not show...about 10 minutes? Perfect, Santa, thanks! See you then...would the passenger like you to bring coffee? (I said yes, please!)...Yes, she would. Just black. Thanks, Santa." It took precisely 11 minutes and he arrived, looking just like Santa and with a cup of hot, freshly brewed coffee. He said Mrs. Claus made it for me! The fee was $30. With the service and the coffee, I was sold. I gave him a 20% tip on my credit card, which is never a problem. Now I have his card and whenever I come to town, I have the Marriott call Santa for a ride for me or I call him myself. If I text him ahead of time, he will also pick me up at the airport. It is always the exact same rate as every Omaha hotel has a flat rate, posted inside the backseat of every taxi. If you want to use Santa, you can also go to the Omaha Yellow Pages. He said he has an ad there and will gladly do an early morning run to the airport. His hours are 4 am to 4 pm M-F and 8 am-2pm on Saturday but will arrange special pickup times outside of those hours. A few times I have needed a taxi outside of Santa's hours and calling dispatch gets me a driver who is typically there in 20 minutes. Sometimes it takes longer but mostly it is fine. read more

We waited an hour for a cab, waited outside for 40 minutes. They never called or showed up but yet claimed they called me. When asked why they didn't come into the parking lot where our group was standing their response was "they call before they get there and must've turned around". They then proceeded to tell me that it would be another 45 minutes for another cab. No thank you! read more

We were staying in La Vista, Nebraska and we first called City Cab 24 hours a head to book to the airport. They were curt, not helpful to the point of being rude. We then called Happy Cab and the lady on dispatch was informative and friendly. Our cab driver who was courteous and friendly, arrived right on time at 3am with a smile. At 3am, that was a feat, ugh what an hour to get to the airport. Special mention is Happy Cab provides Senior Discounts and we really appreciated that as well. read more

Unreliable. Do not count on this company. I reserved a taxi for a 7:00 AM pickup to the airport. I reserved it the day before. They never showed. I phoned their dispatch when they were 10 minutes late. The dispatcher acknowledged that I had a reservation, but no taxi had been dispatched. None ever came, and they gave no reason. read more

I called to get a taxi at about 12:45pm for a 5 oclock pick up. I was told they would send one as close to 5 as possible. I called ahead of time, thinking that it would be more likely to get a ride on time. That would give them plenty of time to plan as we were meeting other people before a concert so it was time sensitive. Boy, was I wrong! As 5:15 came and went, I called to see if they could give me an idea of how much longer it would be. I was told that "they shouldn't have concerts on the nights I work" by the extremely rude dispatch woman. I even asked her to repeat what she said because I thought I had misheard her. I heard correctly. she obviously hates her job and dealing with the public. We waited another 30 mins before we called again and were told that people had been calling since 4pm for immediate service and were therefore being serviced before us. It was the most illogical statement I have ever heard. So people who called later than us, were getting their cabs before us. We were put on hold for a 3rd time while waiting to speak to a manager, and no one ever came back to the phone. They put us on hold and left us there indefinitely. About 45 minutes after that, someone called us to tell us our cab was 8 minutes from the pick up location. I ended up driving us there myself as we didn't have any time to waste at this point. I wouldn't recommend them ever. read more
