I thought I could go anywhere just because my hair was soooo long and if someone messed up I'd have enough length to repair it somewhere else, MY FAULT. her name was Fabi or Fabiola And she was soooo rude I should have walked away. She took 10 minutes on my cut!! I say this heavily... I really don't think she has her license and if she does it should be revoked. I never leave a bad review but this cut ruined my hair big time. I love this place. It had been a very long time since I came here. Back then Emily used to do my hair but the place is now ran by their daughters. Faviola did my hair and I absolutely loved it. She provided feedback on whether or not my hair could be colored the way I wanted since I had darken it a few months before. She's very friendly. I don't give bad reviews but I Was very disappointed with the haircut for my younger brother when I took him in. He has really curly hair and we asked for a fade on the sides and for the back and for the top to be left with curls. We also show them a picture of what we wanted. They said that yes they can do it . Was not a faded look nor was it the haircut that we asked for. I can't comment for women haircuts or hairstyles but at least be honest on whether or not you are able to do the hairstyle or haircut one asks . It's okay to say no rather than give a bad haircut and paying money for it. read more

My daughter LOVES Pilar's high light coloring because her hair looks natural and the tone is perfect!!! I will NEVER be coming back here. I went last month for a haircut and the lady told me one price and ended up tripling it when it came time to pay. First of all she gave me layers when I specifically told her to just trim it, then she blow dried it after she told me not to apply so much heat to my hair. And then, to top it off my sister did not get her hair washed, nor did she have it straightened not styled, had her hair chopped more than was asked for, was super rough with her scalp, pulled her hair, and the the stylist applied ridiculous amount of oil to her hair (keep in mind her hair was left unwashed), and was charged the same as I was. If you want a good haircut I suggest you seek a real profession and avoid these clowns. read more

I love this salon. I take my son here to get his hair cut, as it's hard to find a salon to cut and shape up black hair in OC. I really like that I've seen many nationalities come here, meaning they can cut anybody's hair, unlike other places I've gone. Several of the ladies have cut his hair, but we like Pilar the most. I've always asked in advance the fee so there are no surprises, so I've never had a discrepancy about price like the others have stated. The downside is weekends can get really busy and there could be a long wait. read more
