People drive fast here, and the roads are back country type. Not the safest. I was also curious about what rental was like, bc I was thinking about coming back with friends in the spring for hiking. Immediately, a kid comes over and makes it known that I'm unwelcome. I tell her my situation and she leaves. Then before I could even leave (!), an aggressive weirdo on a golf cart, comes over and lets me know that I can't be there for just a minute to get my bearings and leave. "That happens on the public roads," he says. And "we only rent to friends". I don't recommend staying here unless you enjoy a hostile, cult-like "welcome". And if you're a member of the public, bc apparently they don't want you there.

There is plenty of relaxing entertainment - hammocks already set up, horseshoes, playground, pool, and they had live entertainment on the weekend. The campground is nice. Not too large, not too tiny. Has 1 shower house, and 2 sets of restrooms in the main area. Large pool, and it's easy to get places from there. The only downside I found was that for some campsites you have to straddle a ditch when pulling in, so you need to be a bit careful. Definitely recommend!

The place for a somewhat outdoor setting is overall clean even…read morethough we did find some cobwebs in the lights that looked like they'd been there for a while. The water pressure is very strong for the shower and faucets, which is great. They do have bikes and kayaks, but you have to pay to rent them, according to the website, so we didn't bother because it's ridiculous that they'd charge you after paying so much per night. You can't drink the faucet water, so they give you 16oz bottles of water, and we stayed three nights and got eight bottles of water. We weren't sure if we'd get charged the $1.50 per bottle that was on the website if we asked for more. Guess you can't drink your recommended amount of daily water. They also have a bunch of creepy statues around that look more satanic than gargoyles like they have on their map. To get to your dome it's a decent walk for most, so they do offer you a ride, but when we checked out, we texted about a ride and never got a response, so we lugged everything up the hill to the car and then when we got there the one guy said you should've text and I would've picked you up. Yeah, we did a half hour ago and you never responded back. They even tell you at check in if you need anything to text them, but they aren't that responsive. We texted two times our whole trip and when we did get a response it was an hour later and the second time we never got a text, which is why we lugged everything up the hill. The domes are nice, the beds are comfortable but the hospitality sucks. The grill is great and there's plenty of seasoning, plates, pots and utensils to get you through your stay.

The pictures from the website are spot on and haven't been altered or exaggerated to the point where you're like, "What did I pay for? This isn't what I was expecting..." The staff is friendly and helpful as well. While we were there, the power went out in half of our dome because of the weather (big storm), and when I texted them, they were quick to respond and fix it right away. A few things you should know when planning to go here: - They have all the spices you need and cooking oil, so there's no need to bring any. - They also give you several bottles of water stocked in the mini-fridge. - Internet speeds are good, so you don't have to worry. I was able to stream Netflix without any issues. What could've been better? - Not being able to park close to your site is a bit of a pain. Yes, the staff will help you bring your stuff to your dome with their carts, but if you need to leave the area, it's a bit of a walk. - The pillows are really soft. If you prefer a bit more fluff, then you should bring your own. - The shower tends to make a mess. Even though you close the doors correctly, a lot of water leaks. I made sure the second day we were there to put extra towels down around the shower so it didn't make as much of a mess. Overall, though, I was pretty satisfied with Domes at Catskills.

Campsite (3/5): These are a bit stacked on top of each other but our group had two next to each other so it didn't impact us too much. Ambiance (4/5): These campsites are right on the water which is absolutely stunning! You really feel like you're in nature, but there is a major road near the top campsites and even by the water you can hear road noise. There was a huge group at the top which partied into the night though we're up late anyhow and it was no issue for us. Consider earplugs if you're not like us. Bathrooms (4/5): These were relatively clean for a campground bathroom. Minus a star here because on the last day the women's room was out of order -- but I believe it was due to another guest, as a member of our party heard someone say "oh no it's not flushing!" TL;DR: Great for those late-into-the-night campers. If you stay here make sure you get a waterfront spot.

The employees working there were not helpful at all. After we were dropped off at the launch point, one employee gave a quick safety speech and then disappeared. No one helped us tie our tubes together or navigate the steep drop-off with our tubes to get into the water, which was extremely slippery and rocky. We were told the float would take 2-2.5 hours. This was wildly inaccurate. It took us an hour to float from the drop-off point back to camp. When we previously did the trip from Barryville, the float was much longer. For what we paid, this was a complete waste of money. Then, when we reached the ending point around 4 p.m., we were harassed by three teenage employees who were yelling at us and demanding that we bring up our tubes immediately. There was no one else going out with those tubes at that time, and we simply wanted to sit and relax for a few minutes since the float had been so short. The employees were unnecessarily rude and nasty about it. I feel bad for the people who paid to camp out on this site. It was pathetically small and claustrophobic. Do yourself a favor and book a float trip with another company. After this experience, I would not return to or recommend Kittatinny Canoes at either base camp. EDIT/UPDATE: After the owner's response, I wanted to provide some additional context because I don't feel her response accurately reflects what we experienced. First, regarding the float time: the website states that the trip is 2-3 hours, not 2-2.5 hours. I understand that river conditions can affect the timing, but the conditions on Saturday were considered normal summer levels, with no flood warnings or high water advisories. Our float was significantly shorter than the advertised timeframe. We were also surprised by how close the drop-off point was. The bus barely drove us up the road before letting us out, and the location itself seemed like an odd place to start the trip, being let out in what appeared to be a vacant grassy field directly next to the Riverside on the Delaware townhomes, not even 3 full miles away. I feel bad for the people who live there. It did not feel like we were out in nature, enjoying lush vegetation. I could literally hear landscaping equipment buzzing along the float. As far as the landing area, we did not see anyone trying to get out of the water with kayaks while we were there, nor did the teenage employees tell us that kayakers were waiting to come through. They were not helping people navigate the landing area; they were primarily standing around and yelling at guests to bring their tubes over to the trailer. If they had politely explained that we were blocking kayakers or asked us to move for that reason, that would have been completely understandable. That is not how the situation was handled. Our issue was not being asked to move. It was the attitude and lack of helpfulness from the staff from the moment we arrived. We would have been happy to cooperate if the situation had simply been explained to us. Unfortunately, that was not our experience, and the owner's response does not change what we personally witnessed during our trip
