I am sad to see low ratings for my favorite chinese food restaurant. I have been ordering take out when I come through town, but last night I grabbed my mom and went in and sat down for a lovely dinner. When I say I have been eating at Happy Dragon for years, I mean over 30 years. We use to have the lunch special when we were in high school! Ownership has changed a few times, but I find the quality to be the same. My mom and I sat down a bit early for dinner. We had the dining room to ourselves for most of dinner. There were a handful of people that came in to order to-go and one gentleman that had dinner in and ordered the same thing to go. He raved about how good his plate was. We ordered the Chef's Special for the two of us, hot tea for her and iced tea for me. Our fried prawns and crab puffs came out first with a side of sweet and sour. Then some wonton soup was dropped on our table. Great flavor from the broth. Then came out the sweet & sour pork, pork chow mein, and pork fried rice. The service was fast. We ordered a soup to go and that came out about the time we were wrapping up. Took plenty of food home with us as the portions were huge. I thought our dinner was excellent, still my favorite Chinese food! There is construction going on outside, the shopping center is old and dated, they are doing roof repair. The interior of Happy Dragon is nothing special, but adequate for a good hot meal. read more

I have been coming here for over 30 years! I mainly come here for the potstickers which are homemade, and the exact same recipe from when I was a kid. Perfectly browned on the outside and juicy and full of meat, cabbage and spices on the inside. Mongolian beef with broccoli was so yummy! Everything here is always fresh and so flavorful! I have a severe seafood allergy and I specifically asked for MUSHROOM fried rice and received SHRIMP fried rice and bit into it. I called in this order and I picked it up in person. When I called about it because I had a piece of shrimp on my fork the worker ARGUED with me over the phone saying that I was wrong!?! Are you crazy or stupid? How am I, a customer who knows what I'm allergic to, wrong about what I ordered. She refused to re-make the correct order or offer a replacement. I see shrimp and not one mushroom in the picture provided. When I picked up the order, the woman at the front desk had the audacity to comment on my clothing and I even tipped. There was also uncooked food sitting unattended in the open restaurant on a dining table. I will be reporting this to the better business bureau. Horrible business. read more

The Chow Mein is horrible with god awful tasting noodles & have a fowl smell & fowl aftertaste, the Egg foo young was awful too and not edible & the pot stickers were also awful too! we wont be coming back here anymore Spent almost $40 & it all went down the garbage disposal! Food always arrives sooner than estimated and hot. Hot food as if we were at the restaurant and it came right out of the kitchen. Usually it's an estimated 40 to 50 min delivery, but it's always been delivered in 30 minutes or less. Food is always fresh and tasty. My favorite is the sweat and sour chicken and their fried rice. This place has become our go to for Chinese Food on Doordash! Surprised at all the bad reviews.. We have ordered here quite a few times and it has always been delicious, fresh, and with generous portions. And delivery comes packaged well/sealed and as expected with nothing ever missing which can sometimes be a problem with door dash orders! This place is a pretty common choice for me and my coworkers. So far there has been some bad, but there's definitely been more good. Ultimately, I'd still enthusiastically support this restaurant whenever suggested by my coworkers. I'll get the bad out of the way first; I haven't personally had any luck with their chicken dishes, both times I've found they are severely overcooked; dry and flavorless. I can never finish the meat, and have unfortunately had to dispose of it. However, (now for the good!) everything else I've had is amazing.
