I have been coming here for over 30 years! I mainly come here for the potstickers which are homemade, and the exact same recipe from when I was a kid. I have a severe seafood allergy and I specifically asked for MUSHROOM fried rice and received SHRIMP fried rice and bit into it. I called in this order and I picked it up in person. When I called about it because I had a piece of shrimp on my fork the worker ARGUED with me over the phone saying that I was wrong!?! Are you crazy or stupid? How am I, a customer who knows what I'm allergic to, wrong about what I ordered. She refused to re-make the correct order or offer a replacement. I see shrimp and not one mushroom in the picture provided. When I picked up the order, the woman at the front desk had the audacity to comment on my clothing and I even tipped. I am sad to see low ratings for my favorite chinese food restaurant. I have been ordering take out when I come through town, but last night I grabbed my mom and went in and sat down for a lovely dinner. When I say I have been eating at Happy Dragon for years, I mean over 30 years. We use to have the lunch special when we were in high school! Ownership has changed a few times, but I find the quality to be the same. My mom and I sat down a bit early for dinner. We had the dining room to ourselves for most of dinner. There were a handful of people that came in to order to-go and one gentleman that had dinner in and ordered the same thing to go. He raved about how good his plate was. We ordered the Chef's Special for the two of us, hot tea for her and iced tea for me. Our fried prawns and crab puffs came out first with a side of sweet and sour. Then some wonton soup was dropped on our table. Great flavor from the broth. Then came out the sweet & sour pork, pork chow mein, and pork fried rice. The service was fast. We ordered a soup to go and that came out about the time we were wrapping up. Took plenty of food home with us as the portions were huge. I thought our dinner was excellent, still my favorite Chinese food! There is construction going on outside, the shopping center is old and dated, they are doing roof repair. The interior of Happy Dragon is nothing special, but adequate for a good hot meal. read more

I used to love this place but it really went down badly, it was not just one occasion but the second time I was trying to give them a second chance hoping it was just a one time instance that food was bad (fowl smell/rotten) but the second time it was even worse I usually don't complain but I also think if they care about these comments they will use it as feedback and get back on their game to bring back the good tasty food. read more

Food always arrives sooner than estimated and hot. Hot food as if we were at the restaurant and it came right out of the kitchen. Usually it's an estimated 40 to 50 min delivery, but it's always been delivered in 30 minutes or less. Food is always fresh and tasty. My favorite is the sweat and sour chicken and their fried rice. Ultimately, I'd still enthusiastically support this restaurant whenever suggested by my coworkers. I'll get the bad out of the way first; I haven't personally had any luck with their chicken dishes, both times I've found they are severely overcooked; dry and flavorless. I can never finish the meat, and have unfortunately had to dispose of it. However, (now for the good!) everything else I've had is amazing. It was so bad the orange chicken and lemon chicken were so mushy didn't even feel like chicken and besides it there was barley any sauce.
