I've been here at least 4-5 times, each time trying to give it a chance and nothing changes. Pros: the food is 3.5 out of 5 stars (I might add my family is Vietnamese and I also cook viet food) Cons: they need some type of ventilation going on bc you come out smelling like your at hotpot The floors are oily and slippery. This is for their takeout - ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. We've ordered takeout from them before and never had an issue until now. Both the noodles and the beef were cold, rock hard, and clumped together. It's normally room temp and the soup boiling hot, so we'd just combine it together, heat it up really quick, and we're done. It was near inedible with no way to heat it up, other than to boil the noodles and soup together (but why am I cooking my own food here?) The lady on the phone said it's because they soak their noodles in cold water. No no ma'am, this came out of the fridge. This was just laziness on their end serving us crappy cold food. I really wanted to like this spot as I was craving a good bahn mi. Unfortunately I wasn't impressed. Their fresh rolls were a bit bland although the pork was tasty. The chicken in the sandwich was dry. I with they would have used thigh meat and marinaded the meat better. The bread was really good though. I also thought they were skimpy with the veggies. Stopped by Pho Rice & Roll'd and had a really great experience overall. I ordered the beef rib plate and it was absolutely delicious. The meat was tender, flavorful, and cooked perfectly, you can tell it was made fresh. Every bite was well-seasoned and satisfying. This is my new go-to pho spot in Tracy! Every time I've come here, the pho is blazing hot and they don't skimp on the noodles or meat either. The service is fast and friendly, and if you get their pho, it comes out a few short minutes after ordering. I love the expansion they did to the restaurant. It's much more spacious now. I've also tried their egg rolls and a couple of their milk teas. Both are delicious! The egg rolls are crispy and flavorful and the milk tea is a great value compared to boba shops in the area. Rice & Roll'd has expanded, taking over the restaurant space that was Mazaa Kebabs next door. They now have plenty of seating accommodating small and large parties. And there's a lot more natural lighting as well. I've been wanting to try the fish cake banh mi because I haven't seen that at other banh mi places before. It was yummy! The fish cake savory with a bouncy chew. It was a mellow flavor in comparison to the stronger taste of the pickled veggies. The bread was crusty on the outside, and fluffy on the inside. I paired it with the garlic fries appetizer. The fries were delicious! I was craving fries and theirs satisfied that. The garlic wasn't overpowering and the ketchup was more vinegary, which complemented the garlic. We also got the crispy noodles, and that's gonna be part of the usual order when I'm out with my family. The noodles were crispy, and maintained a good bite as it mixed with the sauce. And speaking of the sauce, it was slightly thick and very savory. The veggies were bright and still firm. Service was great as usual. We got our food promptly and everyone was helpful. I absolutely love pho and have been coming here for years. I usually love trying different pho places and fs know how pho tastes lol. This is my favorite go to place nearby but i just doordashed pho and it tastes like water. The broth is usually supposed to be brown but is yellow. My order is literally just water, msg, and chicken bouillon. Im so sad that they did not use the actual spices to make pho broth. To add on, the noodles are not cooked all the way in the wonton pho. Everything else is good except the broth. Dont order online bc for the raised prices, i expected it to taste like pho. read more

Hubby and I have been coming here for years, mostly to-go, but recently decided to dine-in w/this chilly weather. I was surprised to see they remodeled and expanded into what used to be Mazza Kabob. While I am sad they closed b/c their food was amazing, I'm happy that Pho Rice & Roll'd is doing well and expanded. We were promptly brought ice waters and looked at the menu. A bit sticky, but okay. We both got pho, and it was piping hot, I burned my tongue. When we order to-go, they always put the meat on the side. The rare flank was already cooked in the broth and was a bit tough. I ordered a large Pho with both Rare and Flank Steak, Brisket, Tendon and Tri Tip. I also ordered Beef Spring rolls for the wife and I to share. The wife ordered a small Pho with Beef. The Pho made it to the table within 10 minutes of our orders and it was piping hot. Lots a vermicelli noodles, veggies and meat and sides of jalapeños, bean sprouts and aromatic herbs. They have roasted duck noodle soup, which I love. And the only place I ever get it is in San Jose. I was happy and a little skeptic about it, but the flavors were on point. The duck was drier than I'm used to, but hey can't be perfect. There was a good amount of bones in it too, so be careful eating it. Their Banh Mi's were also on point. For $8 you get a large large sandwich split in two. Half of the sandwich is definitely enough for a meal. So think of it as a $4 sandwich which is a great deal! Everyone else at the table also shared that their order tasted excellent so I'm rooting for these guys! Today I gave 1 , the customer service is super bad here, she can't order my plate correctly. I ordered combination pork chop, just one small piece of porchop, they gave you a small portion of food. I asked for a chopsticks bowl with 3 pieces of meatballs charged over 4$ I thought it's included with the plate..., total 27$...no tip... scamming...I came out to this place many times.... today will be the last time!!! I've been a regular here since 2023 and I am amazed by the improvement of this restaurant. The food has always tasted amazing, but it seems like they have improved it over the years! Service has always been simple and straightforward, nothing outstanding, but now it seems to have really improved over time. This was my first time at this restaurant as I don't normally do things in Tracy. My family and I decided to have lunch first. It was near noon so the restaurant was busy. We got seated at a table for 4 near the door. At the time, the door was closed. However, each time customers entered, it was drafty. It was a hot day so one of the servers decided to keep the door open. Due to where the restaurant is located, it became a wind tunnel where we were sitting. A table was being cleared further in at the restaurant. We told the person clearing the table that we wished to move to that table, and he said okay. In the meantime, we also told one of the waiters that we were moving to the table being cleared. He said we couldn't as he was giving it to the people that just came in the door. Then an unknowing female server directed the people waiting to that table. We told her that we had requested that table, and the guy clearing the table said it was okay for us to move to that table. We explained the situation to her and also said that the male server was denying us that table.. She apologized to us and spoke to another waiter about the situation. She moved us to an empty table at the back of the restaurant. However, we were upset that this situation ended up the way it did. The male server created a situation that didn't have to happen. We ended up on a table that comfortably seated 8 people. We were only 4 people. The table that was originally being cleared seated 4 people. It took a while for our waiter to take our order after we were re-seated. It took even longer for our food to come to our table after being ordered. Other tables seem to be getting their food much quicker than we got our food even though they came in after we were re-seated. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich for me and the shrimp egg roll to share. Both dishes were delicious. I would have rated this establishment 4 stars. I'm a frequent customer of this place and I love their food. The only reason I set the rating to 3 stars is due to their take-out service. They have forgotten items in my take-out orders more than once, which is really disappointing. Just today, I got home after driving 20 minutes just to find out my order of spring rolls wasn't in the bag. I called the restaurant back frantically & I was very upset. The server apologized and said if we can come back they'll make it. So then, my boyfriend had to drive back and forth another 20 minutes! This was SO inconvenient. I honestly wished I was offered some sort of compensation for this inconvenience. All in all, great place to dine. But pls don't trust their take-out. And I understand yes I should've checked, but after a long day and at a time I'm really hungry, I just trust that the restaurant service will give me the order I paid for. read more
