We have been coming here for the passed 10+ years. Everything on the menu is delicious. It's family owned and you can tell that they take pride and making sure that they deliver delicious authentic meals. Since Covid, they are only a takeout and they do not offer delivery, but the food is always ready on time and it's still steaming piping hot when you take it home I would recommend this hands-down over any other place. read more

Our normal go to restaurant was closed today, so we thought we'd give Golden Eagle Restaurant a try. To our surprise it was absolutely amazing and may become our new go to restaurant. We were greeted by one of the nicest ladies, who helped to get us everything we wanted. They only do takeout but it is so worth it. The fried rice was so good, the fried wings to die for and the fried cream cheese puffs are absolutely amazing. We did a small order to try and see if we liked it and will definitely be back for more next time. The kindness at this restaurant is something not always found these days. Family owned humble mom and pop shop. Ordered a combination plate with chow mein and honey walnut shrimp ($12.00, off menu). Also ordered a side of hot mustard which was an extra $0.25. My order was made fresh and came out in less than 10 minutes which was super fast! The chow mein was lacking in flavor and fairly plain. The honey walnut shrimp was delicious though. Not too sweet, had a nice crunch and they were not skimpy on the walnuts. The hot mustard is HOT!! Has a strong yet highly addictive horse radish flavor. Service was great and the portions were insane, even though I wasn't a huge fan of the chow mein I was grateful that they packed the plate. Will be coming back to try their other dishes. read more

I was pleasantly surprised by this spot, found it on Yelp and honestly pictured it as a different place in my head than it was... right in the heart of downtown tract and never noticed it... boy was I missing out! I called in a togo order (they only do togo orders now - no restaurant seating open as of 11/2022!) and it was ready in 10 minutes! I found parking right in front and the food was ready when I arrived. Everything I got was perfectly packed to go, with the sauce for my chicken on the side so it didn't get soggy etc. I had to taste some of everything and it was all authentically flavored and very delicious. A true mom and pop shop serving authentic Chinese food, Golden Eagle has always impressed me with a sense of nostalgia of Chinese home cooking. Not to mention, Sophie and her husband are so nice with their customers and you can tell they work so hard to provide quality food and service! The egg rolls are amazing - veggies and a hint of ginger to balance the fry is chef's kiss. They also make one of my favorite Cantonese dishes to perfection - salt and pepper spare ribs - with an impeccable balance of spice, jalapeños, and onions (they also do this for their chicken wings or diced chicken breast). On top of that, they make an awesome southern Chinese classic - Hong Kong style house chow mein with gravy that showcases crispy noodles with soft noodles in the gravy tossed with bok choy, char siu (Chinese BBQ pork), and beef! The dish can also be done stir fried with no gravy! Their other dishes are amazing as well - from their orange chicken to Mongolian beef and from their fried rice to pot stickers - Golden Eagle utilizes a generations long tradition of wok style cooking that lends itself to delicious Chinese dishes.
