We popped into Happy Endings Saloon as a last stop in Skagway before heading back to our cruise ship. When we got in around 1:30pm, there weren't many people inside and we easily found seating at the bar. There was only one bartender working though, and while we were greeted upon seating, it did take a minute to get a drink order in. They had an extensive menu of house cocktails as well as a nice selection of local beers. We started with the Happy Little Trees shot that pistachio and spruce tip vodkas, delicious! I then got a "Just the Tip," which was their take on a mule, with their house infused spruce tip gin. Delicious and refreshing. The bar had a number of games like billiards and a stage where they definitely have live music on certain nights. They also had a huge selection of fun merch and souvenirs. As we drank, the bar filled up and it did become increasingly harder to get the bartender's attention, which would be my only critique. Definitely needs at least two bartenders scheduled to keep up with demand. Overall, a fun spot with great drinks, would return next time I'm in town!

Cute little place off the beaten path. We came during off season so they were out of some of their signature cocktails which was a bummer but we'll be back to we're ever in town again in the summer.

Fun saloon off the beaten path. We were served by Alyssa and she was very attentive and helpful. We tried several of their specialty drinks and they were very delicious. It was relaxing, watching Bob Ross paint and the Bears frolic in the river. Great place to visit when in Skagway I would highly recommend the Happy Endings Saloon.

Burrito from Peppers and a pint of Spruce Ale

When in Alaska, drink Alaska . . . meaning, try the local brews. Who would go to Alaska and then order a pint of . . . well, some CA IPA? Problem is, the local Brewing Company seemed so crowded and touristy. Stopped by a local food truck and they said I could take my "burrito" to the saloon and order a local brew. The place was pretty empty, so I sauntered up to the old school bar and ordered my pint of Whipsaw Spruce Ale from Klondike Brewing. Took it out to the back deck and watched a couple play corn hole while enjoying my food and drink. That was a damn good Ale and complimented my spicy vegan chorizo with ancho and guajillo peppers wrap nicely. Such a cool experience away from the crowds and the craziness. Not to mention the name of the saloon is one of a kind!

Rude doorman turned away some visitors and accused them of having fake ID, embarrassing them unnecessarily, as their ID was legit.

If you find yourself in Skagway, Skagway Brewing Company is an absolute must-stop!…read more I started with the Halibut Chowder -- rich, delicious, and incredibly filling. A perfect way to warm up after exploring the town. The service was speedy and attentive, which you really appreciate when you're hungry after a long day of adventures. Hubby washed everything down with a frosty mug of root beer -- perfectly chilled and refreshing. I'm a craft beer lover, so got a flight of beers. The hardest part? Choosing which ones to try! So many great options. And let me tell you about the Gandolfini Grinder -- this sandwich is an absolute unit. Flavorful, stacked, and generous in size. It did not disappoint! Whether you're a cruise passenger making a quick stop or spending more time in this historic little gem of a town, Skagway Brewing Company delivers on all fronts -- great food, great drinks, and great vibes. Highly recommend!

Beware of snappy rude servers! Our server treated our group horribly--extremely passive aggressive,…read morerushed our ordering, cut off someone who was asking questions about the beer menu, and looked at one of our younger guests that needed extra time as if she were stupid for asking for a moment more to look at the menu. We have been here once before and our bartenders were friendly at the bar, and the food was good, but the service was so horrible that I can't give more stars than 1 because it completely ruined our dinner and moods after a long day where we were looking forward to dining here. Consider going to one of the other local breweries or avoid the dining area servers if possible.

Naturally with the name I had to come. SUCH a great experience. I came the last day of the season…read moreand Olivia herself was there. What a treat she is! I was trying to get some souvenirs and she told me a couple spots to check out and held my table while I went across the street! I wanted something fresh and local and they're a great place for that. It's her parents restaurant and her mom grows herbs that they use in dishes. Olivia travels a lot so it was serendipitous that I actually got to meet her! Seemed like a spot a lot of the locals hang at, felt very homey, Cheers type everyone knows your name place with delicious food! I did a Rojito, seafood pasta and a side of crostini. The drink was so refreshing! I remember her mom was involved with its creation and of course it's her fresh grown mint! The pasta had huge chunks of very tasty seafood! Outside of being here (AK) I probably wouldn't order something like that but I'm glad I did. The pasta was delicious and the seafood was fresh. The crostini's were so good too. I hear they have great desserts but we shared a fry bread earlier and there was just no room for more. I got a shirt bc I couldn't not. I truly loved it here. Such a chill, kind vibe. If ever in Skagway I'll be back. Thank you to Olivia and team for more than making me feel welcomed.

The sauce was so good; this was served with mini toasted bread ovals with a rich full sauce. The whipped cream cheese on top was an extra bite of goodness. The service was fast and attentive. The crab legs were large and taste great with the lemon; melted butter was served ; however, I preferred the lemon. A great lunch place in Segway.
