Great laid back dive bar in town off the main strip, really enjoyed their selection of local beers and unique shot menu. Service was good but was a tad bit slow as there was only 1 guy working when a flood of people came in. Great skagway merchandise available along the walls as well. Overall a good time and worth the spot in!

We popped into Happy Endings Saloon as a last stop in Skagway before heading back to our cruise ship. When we got in around 1:30pm, there weren't many people inside and we easily found seating at the bar. There was only one bartender working though, and while we were greeted upon seating, it did take a minute to get a drink order in. They had an extensive menu of house cocktails as well as a nice selection of local beers. We started with the Happy Little Trees shot that pistachio and spruce tip vodkas, delicious! I then got a "Just the Tip," which was their take on a mule, with their house infused spruce tip gin. Delicious and refreshing. The bar had a number of games like billiards and a stage where they definitely have live music on certain nights. They also had a huge selection of fun merch and souvenirs. As we drank, the bar filled up and it did become increasingly harder to get the bartender's attention, which would be my only critique. Definitely needs at least two bartenders scheduled to keep up with demand. Overall, a fun spot with great drinks, would return next time I'm in town!

Cute little place off the beaten path. We came during off season so they were out of some of their signature cocktails which was a bummer but we'll be back to we're ever in town again in the summer.

Fun saloon off the beaten path. We were served by Alyssa and she was very attentive and helpful. We tried several of their specialty drinks and they were very delicious. It was relaxing, watching Bob Ross paint and the Bears frolic in the river. Great place to visit when in Skagway I would highly recommend the Happy Endings Saloon.

Burrito from Peppers and a pint of Spruce Ale

When in Alaska, drink Alaska . . . meaning, try the local brews. Who would go to Alaska and then order a pint of . . . well, some CA IPA? Problem is, the local Brewing Company seemed so crowded and touristy. Stopped by a local food truck and they said I could take my "burrito" to the saloon and order a local brew. The place was pretty empty, so I sauntered up to the old school bar and ordered my pint of Whipsaw Spruce Ale from Klondike Brewing. Took it out to the back deck and watched a couple play corn hole while enjoying my food and drink. That was a damn good Ale and complimented my spicy vegan chorizo with ancho and guajillo peppers wrap nicely. Such a cool experience away from the crowds and the craziness. Not to mention the name of the saloon is one of a kind!

Rude doorman turned away some visitors and accused them of having fake ID, embarrassing them unnecessarily, as their ID was legit.

We had a great experience at Skagway Brewing Company! My husband and I ordered the Admiral Platter,…read morewhich came with halibut fish & chips, beer-battered shrimp, blackened salmon, tartar sauce, cocktail sauce, and slaw. The platter is HUGE--definitely enough to share! We split it between the two of us and were completely full by the end. The shrimp were really good--not overly battered and seasoned well. The blackened salmon was also flavorful and nicely seasoned. The halibut batter was softer rather than crunchy, which isn't usually my preference for fish & chips, but it was still good. The fries were especially delicious and seasoned perfectly. We also shared a bowl of clam chowder, which was delicious! I was a little surprised to learn that it's the only item on the menu that isn't made in-house, but regardless, we really enjoyed it. What impressed me just as much as the food was the staff. The bartender and the entire back-of-house team work incredibly hard. This place gets BUSY, yet the food comes out surprisingly fast without the service ever losing that friendly and welcoming feel. You can tell everyone is hustling and working together to keep things moving. The atmosphere is lively and fun, and the location couldn't be more convenient--it's right in the path of cruisers coming off the ships and exploring Skagway. Great portions, good food, hardworking staff, and a fun atmosphere. Highly recommend stopping by while in Skagway!

Naturally with the name I had to come. SUCH a great experience. I came the last day of the season…read moreand Olivia herself was there. What a treat she is! I was trying to get some souvenirs and she told me a couple spots to check out and held my table while I went across the street! I wanted something fresh and local and they're a great place for that. It's her parents restaurant and her mom grows herbs that they use in dishes. Olivia travels a lot so it was serendipitous that I actually got to meet her! Seemed like a spot a lot of the locals hang at, felt very homey, Cheers type everyone knows your name place with delicious food! I did a Rojito, seafood pasta and a side of crostini. The drink was so refreshing! I remember her mom was involved with its creation and of course it's her fresh grown mint! The pasta had huge chunks of very tasty seafood! Outside of being here (AK) I probably wouldn't order something like that but I'm glad I did. The pasta was delicious and the seafood was fresh. The crostini's were so good too. I hear they have great desserts but we shared a fry bread earlier and there was just no room for more. I got a shirt bc I couldn't not. I truly loved it here. Such a chill, kind vibe. If ever in Skagway I'll be back. Thank you to Olivia and team for more than making me feel welcomed.

Their supplies come on a barge, and barge day is Tuesday. However, the cocktails were good, flavorful and strong. Got the crab legs (split the pound) and a side of fries. The crab was good, but not ohmygod good (honestly I have crab shipped to my house from Alaska that was better). The fries were awesome! And I'm not a fry person. Got a very generous piece of 24 carat cake too. The service was quite good. Our waitress apologized up and down for not having the menu items we really wanted.
