I was kinda laying there and saying next time make sure to make appointment at my old place. I've been getting massages regularly here for the past year or two and rely on them for effective massages at a very reasonable price. It's a no frills setting, but clean and comfortable. Front desk and booking online is super efficient and my two favorite massage therapists are very kind, sweet and give very skillful massages that get out all my knots. After a long week at work, I had a 60 min combo feet/back massage with May. This is my second time trying Happy Feet and I really needed some attention to my feet and shoulders. I was pleasantly surprised at the strength and firm pressure such a petite lady could achieve. She worked my tight spots on my neck and used hot stones to soften them while massaging the kinks out. She also was able to use her body weight to kneel on the tight spots of my leg and lower torso. It was a well needed experience. I felt so much better afterwards and still today. a running buddy of mine recommended this place, and i decided to give it a try. it's a bit of a hit or miss to be honest.... my 1st visit, i chose the 60min combo, 30min foot massage + 30min back massage (clothed). the gal was pretty good, didn't speak much english (which i kinda expected), her pressure was a firm, maybe a bit too hard at times, but i think my muscles needed it. she did a thorough job with my feet, legs, and back. $60 (3.5 stars) my 2nd visit, i opted for the 60min body massage, 60min in a private room, unclothed. the lady was good, she understood when I wanted more or less pressure, took care of my upper body (neck, back, shoulders) as well as my lower body (glutes, legs). i would have liked more time on my legs, but that's ok, her pressure was good and i left feeling good, or, at least, i woke up the next morning feeling great (right after i always feel a little sore from the pressure). $70 (4 stars) for my 3rd visit, since i enjoyed the gal from my 2nd visit, i once again opted for the 60min body massage and requested the same gal, alma. as soon as i was undressed and on the table, she came in, and i asked if she remembered me, she nodded yes, and then i told her i wanted 20min back + 40min legs. she nodded again. some amount of time went by, and i asked her what time it was and she clearly did not understand b/c she told me a time that was not possible (based on our start time), then said she didn't speak english. i immediately asked her to stop and move to my legs, sensing we probably didn't have much time left. i'm not sure if she understood, b/c she kept working on my lower back and glutes. finally, she flipped me over and i saw that we only had a few minutes left and basically demanded that she work on my legs & feet since our hour was almost up. sensing i was upset, she worked on my feet and calves, and when she finished, told me that she gave me an extra 5 minutes. while i appreciated these extra minutes, what i really needed for her to do was spend 40 minutes on my legs, without me asking 3 times. i gave her a bigger tip as an appreciation for the extra time, but i'm not sure if i want to return or see her again since she admitted to not understanding english. wish i knew at the top of the hour, so that i could have written my requests on a piece of paper, or told the lady at reception, who seemed to speak adequate english. $70 (3 stars) i understand that these places are largely run by licensed massage therapists originally from china, but if you want to build your client base and client trust, you really need to learn some basic english to please your clients. not everyone who walks through your doors speaks chinese, nor should they be expected to. read more

She was very nice, checked in on me during the massage, and despite what some reviewers have said about language barriers, I thought her English was perfectly fine--she understood everything I said. The reason for the low rating is mainly the way the business handled my appointment. I had booked with Cindy, who was highly recommended by a friend, and has great reviews. Unfortunately, they didn't tell me until I was already undressed in the private room that Cindy had called out and was unavailable. That information could have easily been communicated ahead of time--by text, when I arrived, or even through email (since I was already corresponding with them via email). Instead, I was caught off guard at the very last minute. Mia stepped in, and while she was kind, her massage style just wasn't what I was looking for. It was extremely light, and I hesitated to ask her to go harder because in my experience, when I ask for more pressure, it usually ends up way too strong. So overall, two stars: one star for the unprofessional handling of my appointment, and an extra star solely for Mia's kindness and effort. They have a small but multi bed area for these massages so you keep your clothes on. I'd recommend coming in something sleeveless and shorts or something that's easy to be massaged over. Back in 12/2019 my generous husband bought me a gift card for a handful of massages. Due to the pandemic I opted not to go until 7/2025 as I knew that it is illegal in California to have gift cards that expire. When I got there the lady at the front desk said that they had changed owners already and that prices had changed. I asked her if I could use the gift card and pay the difference I price and she said no. They no longer accept these gift cards. I told her that that's not legal in California, but she just smiled and said she doesn't know. It's already been five years and they do not accept these and something about it not being a gift card but rather a "package". California law states that gift cards do not generally expire and I quoted the law to her and showed her the law (looked up on my phone). She still said they do not accept them so basically they just took my husband's money and gave him nothing in exchange. What a scam!! Sounds like this has happened to others at this location as well. Definitely need to call the "seven on your side" news crew. Please don't give these people your money. They'll find a way to take it and give you nothing in exchange!! read more

They are pretty aggressive when it comes to tipping. Instead of asking how was your massage? would you like to come back? is there anything we can do to make your experience better?.. they go- with an attitude-how much for tip? Like first of all, tipping depends on the service and you are not entitled to my money. I already paid for the service so if I am not happy I will not tip. Tips are EARNED, not demanded! They will pretty much passive aggressively bully you to leave 20$+ tip which imo is not okay and I obviously didn't fall for those tactics but I can see how other people did based on the reviews. Foot reflexology places are similar to the Three Little Bears: sometimes they are too aggressive, sometimes they are too soft, and sometimes--they are just right. My visit in early January '23 was just right. I called and was able to get an appointment immediately. I went in wanting a foot massage, but upon arrival the receptionist suggested a combo (foot and body) for 70 minutes. I have been struggled with a huge knot, tension, and possibly a pinched nerve (that's me self-diagnosing) since late October. I kept thinking it would go away, but it only got worse. Sleeping has been terrible and I haven't really been able to raise my right arm without pain. My guy was Andy. And let me tell you. Andy put in WORK. He massaged my neck and upper and lower back so well. When I left, I could raise my arm. It's four hours later, and I'm still in shock. Andy had a very firm and strong technique. Though I'm far from a regular, I've had probably 7 or 8 massages before and I can say without a doubt this is the best one I've had! The location is unsuspecting and could be a bit easy to miss, as it's a smallish spot located directly on a busy El Camino. However, you should be able to find plenty of parking right in front or in one of the adjacent side streets. The interior is clean, relaxing, and very well-maintained. The woman at the front desk was immediately warm and welcoming, and they were prepared for our massage as soon as we arrived. My masseuse was Lucy, and she is worth the 5-star review alone. The only thing she asked before she began was how hard I wanted the massage, and after replying with a simple "moderate pressure," she went on to give the best massage I've had. She didn't stop or slow down once in 90 minutes. I have some chronic back pains, and she was able to quickly identify the trouble spots based on my body's reactions and work them in a way that not only didn't hurt, but actually seemed to fix the issues. The hot stones were a very pleasant surprise, and combined with her use of elbows, knees, and feet to dig in to the bigger muscle groups, I left feeling completely rejuvenated and healed. Stopped in for a foot massage before my flight out of town. This has to be my best foot massage yet. It is next to a road so inadvertently you will hear the cars sounds. There's soothing music playing inside so focus on that and the car sounds will go away. The place is clean and it felt safe. Staff were masked and the other nearest client was like 5 seats away. There was one incident. A cop came in asking if there were cameras facing the road because there was a car break-in the night before. That started a commotion with lots of excitement for the staff for about 10 mins at the getting counter, which was right next to me. Very reasonably priced, as competitive as others and note that foot massage also includes a head, neck, shoulder and back massage along with the calves and thighs. That's a steal! That's a full body massage in my mind. It all starts with a good soaking. Nice warm to hot water to soak those weary feet. At some other foot massage places, they use herbal or tea mix, this one is just water. While the feet are getting soaked, David massaged my head, neck and shoulders. He did not ask if f I like it medium or hard. His pressure was just right for me which is crucial. Only those who are good knows how deep to go to give an effective massage. Massage should be relaxing and not painful. It should not be about medium or hard. Once the feet are soaked, they were dried off and the foot massage begins. David was really good at it. Again just the right pressure and tracing around the toes with his thumbs. It was very good. Once the legs were done, I turned over and the back gets massaged. I left the spa feeling really good. Half way through the massage the wonderful woman that was taking care of me switched to a man without any communication and he left me exposed, it was so embarrassing and he was terrible. There seemed to be some augment between the staff in the middle of the massage. He came in and left the sheet off and additionally put oil in my hair. She requested a female masseuse when booking, and they gave her the name of the woman who would be performing her massage. Two separate Gift Certificates were purchased for $50 each. One on 10-16-19 and the other one in 2021. The recipients of the certificates tried to use them on 3-30-24. They were each willing to pay the extra $20 for a 90 minute foot massage. The owner wanted them to pay an additional $50 for a $70 service (meaning it would have cost a total of $100 each). When we asked the owner to honor her prices and the gift certificates, she not only refused, she was very rude. We explained to her that retailer gift cards and gift certificates do not expire. The gift certificate law states that a seller must either redeem a gift certificate or gift card sold after January 1, 1997, for its cash value, or replace it with a with a new certificate or card at no cost. This place has lost 3 loyal customers, who are great tippers. Rudeness never wins! read more

I bought both body massage and foot massage before COVID with Wendy, no one informed me about any expiration date or anything. I relocated to NY and moved back this year and want to go again. They told me they changed a new owner, all previous package expired. If I would like to go, I need to pay additional $30 dollars and show them the card ( I left my card with Wendy and she staples it into that notebook). Obviously no one will have the physical card. David is a true savant, but honestly, everyone I've had is great. They seem to have a sixth sense about just where the pain is in my body. I was reading some of the reviews and it sounds like some people went in expecting a luxury spa experience. You're paying $50 for an hour massage, people. Be realistic. This is a foot spa and quite typical in its format: *The pressure is usually quite firm *They rub your head, arms, legs, and feet, not just feet (which I think is great!) *You pay upfront (including tip if you want it on the CC) *You are in a room with 4 or 6 other beds and your stuff stays out on top of a small cubby (I've never had anything stolen, relax people) *You can hear the front desk as people come in and leave, but it's not noisy enough to be distracting in my opinion Again, even with tipping $20, I still get out of there for $70.
