[[HIGHLIGHT]]I happily drive to San Carlos just to see Tracy--she does a fantastic job every single time.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My nails always look amazing. She takes the time to look over inspiration photos with me and offers her professional insight, and when I let her be creative and free-play with the designs, the results are always stunning. Tracy truly has an eye for detail. Her salon is adorable, painted pink inside and out, and she always has fresh-cut flowers from Trader Joe's along with beautiful plants that make the space feel so welcoming. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Her staff is equally wonderful--attentive, friendly, and kind--and they even offer refreshments.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I genuinely love coming here; they make you feel comfortable and cared for from start to finish.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]
I work in the area so i like to help out the local businesses but i always end up paying a lot of money for not great quality. I know some of the reviews are from owners,friends,family members and past employees. There is a lot of post raving about this place but my experience was not the best. Maybe I got a nail tech on off day I don't know. I've lost track on how many times this nail salon has switched ownerships I believe this is the 7th time it's under new ownership under a different name. For years it was inail spa, then it changed to b&b nail spa and now it's pretty nail spa. I knew the original owners and each time it changed everything would stay the same except when it became b&b nail spa and pretty nails &spa. [[HIGHLIGHT]]While it's nice they bring you a drink and chips, how can you eat it when you're getting your nails done. I would have liked if they would have asked me if I wanted juice or water vs just bringing it. I don't drink juice so it was a waste and I felt bad.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They always have youtube street food cooking a bit odd but we can watch something on are phone no biggie. The bathroom is not clean there's shampoo bottles, tooth paste and tooth brushes, hairbrushes. A bit odd but okay, maybe they were running late and needed to groom themselves at work...what comes to a surprise is there is no posted services offered or prices, it's like they make it up every-time even though it's the same thing. They only accept cash, Zelle, or Venmo--no credit or debit cards. Customers should be able to see service prices before deciding to book. My friend and I both received the same basic gel manicure with no nail art or additional services. She was charged $35, while I was charged $55 for what was the same service. My previous visit I had a pedicure was approximately $70, yet there was nothing that distinguished it from the same pedicure I previously received here for around $45. Based on my experience, the pricing felt overly priced, for the service (cuticle cut, sore nail beds from excessive filling and a really bad nail polish). i have some concerns about sanitation and disinfection of the tools, nail files,buffers and scrubbers. During my visit, the metal tools were not opened from a sealed pouch in front of me as I had seen under previous ownership, so I could not verify whether they had been properly cleaned and disinfected. They also used an electric nail file (e-file) during my pedicure and gel manicure to remove polish, which was different from the traditional acetone cotton ball removal methods I have experienced at this and other salons. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I'm still waiting for the owner to answer on Yelp about the sanitation and disinfection.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I hope the salon improves its transparency, consistency, and customer experience, as it was once a place I genuinely enjoyed visiting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]
Two separate visits, same awesome experience! Went by myself 2 weeks ago to check the place out after a friend suggested I bring my daughter and friends here to celebrate her birthday. My solo visit was so excellent: the nail techs actually took the time to clean up every nail to the highest quality for my regular mani/pedi, and now 2 weeks later it's still going strong! Love the decor here and the vibe is so chill and awesome! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Then I did actually book to bring my daughter and 3 friends (11 years old) for a birthday celebration: they took incredible care of the girls, feeding them snacks, candy, and finishing up our visit with a birthday song and huge cake![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We had the best time: thank you!![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

They spoiled us![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The Deluxe Pedicure with Paraffin was amazing, a very detailed experience. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They gave us treats, a rose, and a mimosa for Mother's Day.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It was the best Mother's Day gift I have had. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They are so kind and accommodating, I will be coming back for sure.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]
This is a good nail salon in San Carlos with a very aesthetic look, fast service and good service. I had a gel pedicure and I loved the way it turned out. I did notice that it seemed like some of my previous polish was still on in the corners but it's not easily noticeable. The price is good for the area!
I had hopes for this place. Needing to get an overdue pedicure even with some of the reviews I had seen and giving the benefit of doubt. I've had a number of pedicures in my life and needed to go somewhere close by. I see why San Jose is known to do manicures and pedicures at with better quality and a more reasonable price. I had to ask my tech to fix my gel polish after it's been cured because it was lumpy and on top of that she didn't even clean the edges before curing the gel And if I hadn't said anything for it to be fixed she would have sent me off with it as she said she was done and I was confused to even see the final product. On top of that when I booked online the gel pedicure said it was $50. I decided to do the organic pedicure in the salon given the impression it was $55 instead. And then $5 of my old gel removal. But the fact that it was $15 ON TOP FOR GEL. That is wild to pay $75 for a mediocre pedicure job. And as it was cleaned up and fixed. It still isn't even the quality for a pedicure I've paid for that's $50. I didn't even want to have it fixed any more with given the time I've already spent in there. It's quite surprising that this quality of work is consider acceptable. That's disappointing.
Had a nice experience yesterday on the fly at this salon. My daughter was looking for a new place to try Gel X. Communicated via message through Yelp and secured an appointment. When we arrived, decided to also get pedicures for myself and my other daughter which they were happy to accommodate. The techs were detailed and did a nice job with our basic pedicures. Left as 3 happy customers.
I usually love coming here for mani pedis, but I came a couple days ago & didn't have the best experience I guess. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The owner seemed busy and was rushing with my nails to get to other people even though I had an appointment set.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My manicure was decent, but my toes are in pain! She started cutting way too much on the side of my big toes, causing me to get a terrible infection. I literally can barely walk it hurts so bad. The photos are self explanatory. Update: the infection is way worse, pain is unbearable, half my foot is swollen & I'm going to urgent care now.
This is going to be my new go-to spot forsure! I loved everything about it - from the decor to the staff and the exceptional service they provide. Tracy is the owner and she is a star. My pedicure was one of the best I've ever had, I'm not even exaggerating. They really take the time on your feet and the best part is that I didn't feel like they were going to hurt me at all! I haven't experienced that before at any other nail salon in the area. I can't wait to go back! Also their selection of colors is unreal!
Tracy and her team are amazing. This is the best set of nails I've had in months. She listened to my (many) requests and made my gel pedicure and gel acrylic manicure look EXACTLY how I wanted. Acrylic is nice and slim. Perfect, natural shape. Exact color and design. I love it. They have SO many types of polishes and designs. I went with a chrome layer on white gel, and an orange accent to add a bit of summer vibes, while keeping it professional for work. The salon has plenty of parking in front and to the side. Cute decor, very feminine and sparkly. Massage chairs are always a nice touch. Pricing is competitive. I think I need to start coming here from now on.
[[HIGHLIGHT]]I was honestly so stressed trying to figure out what to do for my nails before my engagement photoshoot, and I'm so glad I found Tracy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]From the moment I sat down, she was awesome. I showed her a few inspiration pictures and immediately knew I was in great hands.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] When she finished my full set, I realized the design didn't quite feel like me. Since this was my first time doing professional photos with my nails done, I eventually asked if we could adjust the design so they felt more like me. Tracy fixed them and now I'm absolutely obsessed. I can't stop staring at them and they're perfect for my engagement photos. The shop itself is also beautiful. The pink decor is so cute and the pedicure chairs are super comfortable. Tracy is amazing and I would totally recommend her shop if you're looking for great nails and a great experience.

I am extremely picky about my nails and have gone to so many salons over the years, but Tracy at Pretty Nails is truly special. She has such an artistic eye and somehow can take any inspiration photo or random idea I bring in and make it look elegant, refined, and flattering on my hands. Her shaping is what keeps me coming back. The nails never come out thick or bulky like so many places do. They look slim, feminine, clean, and beautifully balanced every single time. What I also appreciate is that she genuinely takes her time. You can tell she cares about the details and takes pride in her work instead of rushing clients through. I was getting an oil change and needed a fill pretty badly so I walked over to Pretty Nails and was lucky enough to get service right away. I told the owner, Tracy that I was on a time crunch and she told me she could finish in 30 minutes and she was actually able to get me out the door in 30 minutes! I told her I wanted just simple hearts on two nails because I had limited time and she told me she could do the whole hand design and still get me out on time and she delivered. A newer nail salon in Redwood City quoted me $50 EXTRA for the design so I literally got up and left because that's ridiculous and I won't be taken advantage of. At other salons, my nails can take up to 90 minutes because they're helping other people and doing god knows what but she had me in and out with beautiful nails in 30 min so I definitely found my new nail spot. I love my nails. First time at this shop, inspired by Yelp reviews. Tracy did a full gel x set with single color and I was done in 30 minutes. I love having pretty nails but don't love spending an hour or more in the nail shop. This was an awesome first experience! Looking forward to my next appointment. read more

Check out my gorgeous wedding ready nails!!! Tracy helped me design these nails based on my own Pinterest research and sculpted these holographic 3D flowers. We booked this spa to host my 13yr old's private birthday party. Tracy and her staff are amazing! Not only did they do a beautiful job with the nails, but they treated us with such warmth and incomparable hospitality. They decorated the spa with balloons and provided snacks, drinks, and even a birthday cake. We were blown away. My daughter and I agreed that from now on, this is our spa! read more

I came in for a gel mani and pedi. This nail spa is super chill and gives pretty in pink vibes inside. The nail techs are all very nice and accommodating. They have a wide selection of polishes from chrome to cat eye and everything in between. Everything is very clean and I love how peaceful and inviting the environment is. Made a same day appointment online for a gel manicure and Mia did a great job! I'm usually very picky about my nails but I have no complaints :) Parking was on El Camino but I saw a sign there is also parking in the back. I paid using Venmo (they also take Zelle), super easy! read more

We wanted to try a new place, big mistake! Two of my toes were cut way too short, the nail person cut and pulled at my skin on two of my toes they bled a lot. I got a gel pedi she left the corners and edges of my toes with huge clumps of polish. It was a nice color but she ruined it by doing a sloppy job. She said she is the new owner! She was rude and felt like she hurt cutting my toes and fingernails on purpose or she has a very heavy hand. I did not leave a tip for her she certainly didn't deserve one. We will never go back there again. No star for this place, darn it won't let me leave no Star!! Could improve to find another place to go. read more

Ok spot for a pedicure, ok price. Pros: Fairly fast service Good price for a mid level pedi. Service started on time, appointment was easy to make. Can pay by Venmo Pedicure has so far lasted in great condition for three weeks. Cons: Parking is tough in the area if side of street. Seems to have a small lot in the back but I wasn't sure how to access it Was kind of rushed out of there before the topcoat had enough time to dry which resulted in a small smudge on the big toe. It was not busy at all, just one other client with of 2-3 empty stations. They were out of about half the scented scrub / lotion treatment choices. No mint, no rose, no green tea, finally settled on my fourth choice lavender. This was mid day on the weekend, disappointed they were poorly stocked. read more
