If you are looking for a real message that you better of go to the mall and pay $30 for half an hour. I used a Groupon and I couldn't believe other reviews about the TIP, I gave them $8 but came right back at me and asked me for $10, little shocking but if they don't get paid enough then they should raise their prices but not ask for more than 30% of tip. There is another place near lake view that you can use a Groupon for same price but they claim that the original price is $50 so they expect $10 tip ad well. Fast forward to a year later and no one answers the phone...no one returns messages for appointments AND they accidentally called me after sending my call to voicemail and spoke in Chinese when I answered and then when I said is this Happy Feet the response was no wrong number...but I have caller ID and it was Happy Feet. I've showed up to the location hoping to get a walk in and it's insane the door is open but no one is there. We walked in to no one at the desk, figured they were giving a massage...yelled hello..nothing..and then we walked down the hall...no one was there. This place is unreliable. Update... I decided to give them another chance and when I was paying I asked for change.. All I had was a $20. I was planning on leaving the "required" $8 tip. But he took the $20 and refused to give me my money back ... I had one more Groupon left so I went back... ( I was recently in a car crash so I am in constant back pain and needed relief) Big mistake.. I didn't want to be in the same situation I was that last time with the man so.. I left $8 tip on the massage table and as I was leaving The lady actually grabbed me by my arm and was dragging me back to the room and she was yelling at me to tip more. I got away from her. I told her that it's illegal and she chased me out to the parking lot. I'm def filing a complaint on this business. Also, they have this little hand written sign saying tip is mandatory and have a tipping scale on there. As I was getting my massage I could hear gentleman wanting to tip 20% and they must kept his money too. I was close to leaving a 3-4 star review until I was leaving the place. After the experience in totality, I definitely would not recommend it to anyone. To begin with, I called for an appointment and showed up on time. They look really confused when I mentioned an appointment and there was no appointment book to be found anywhere. The person I spoke with on the phone was clearly not at the front desk area. They tried to upsell me from my groupon (which was fine, I declined) and then while I was waiting to go in, a couple walked in who also had an appointment. Again, the two workers had no clue about it, no appointment book, and turned them away and told them to come back in an hour. The massage itself was ok - hence why I was planning on a 3-4 star review. I liked the pressure, I like that you stay clothed and I felt like it was effective. I paid for a Groupon for 30-minute head and neck massage and he gave me a 60 minute full-body massage. Upon exiting, I couldn't find my massage therapist (a man), so I tried to give my tip to the woman at the front - I had a $5 bill in my pocket. She said "No, tip is $10!" and I said that I didn't have $10, only $5 with me. She insisted the tip was $10 and then directed me to the guy who reluctantly took my $5 and said "what, you didn't like the massage?" I told them both that no where was it written that it was required to tip $10 and they both stared at me. I missed my moment to take my $5 back! I walked out and told the girls waiting for a massage that they should be aware that there is a required $10 tip. They nervously laughed - I'm guessing they didn't bring $10 either. I'm not cheap, I thought I was getting a 30-minute massage and I don't carry cash and already had dug the $5 out my kid's piggy bank! My advice to the management is to change your business model to paying your people more, charging a bit more for the massage, have a real appointment system, staff according to your appointments and don't try and intimidate people into giving larger tips! read more

Not worthy of even one star but I can't post without giving a star. I went there today after deciding to give them another chance. They do not put fresh towels out on the massage table. The lady is RUDE. I went there with my husband a few months ago and got mediocre massages. When we were paying, they told us what they wanted their tip to be. I said "no, I'm sorry it doesn't work that way. You cannot tell me what to tip. I will tip what I want." She was visibly upset and rolled her eyes and started talking to her co worker in Chinese. I try to give businesses that let me down another chance because you just never know. I went back today. The same lady took me. Before she started she asked me if I'd been there before. I told her I had. She asked me when. I said I didn't remember but it was few months back. She actually told me the exact date I was there! Then she said "this time, ten dollar tip ok?" I was beside myself but I decided not to cause a scene and hope that her massage was worth a ten dollar tip. It wasn't. She was awful. She stopped so many times and just sat there for almost a minute at a time. It's almost as if she was purposely giving me a bad massage so that I'd never go back. I won't ever go back. Save your money and go to the Chinese guys at the HIP mall. They are nicer and although there's no privacy at least they give you a good massage. I was pleasantly surprised with my experience here. When I arrived, there was a language barrier but the staff was friendly. I went into the massage area with the tables. It was a semi private room with 2 tables and a shear curtain. My masseuse started by applying pressure throughout my body and then went into the massage and the hot stones. She focused on my back and shoulders but did a whole body massage. Overall it was a great massage and experience. My only complaints would be the lack of privacy (easily fixed with a thicker curtain) and the language barrier. I would definitely return. read more

My experience on 2/18/2019 with Happy Feet was very bad. I gave the owner 15% gratuity, but that was not good enough. The owner harassed me to give him more. If that was not bad enough, I clearly smelled liquor on his breath every time he opened his mouth. The whole experience was troublesome and intimidating! I will never go back! I received two massages here from two different women both amazing. But the 3rd time I came I had a guy massage me (I'm already uncomfortable with this) he was awful. Absolutely TERRIBLE! He didn't do a good job and left a huge bruise on my arm that took a week to go away. It was a painful experience and I had a very sore back and arm for over a week. My friend had gotten a massage from the other gentlemen and she said it wasn't that great. I will stick to only the women here because the men are terrible. They also scowled at us when we left a tip. I'm assuming it wasn't desirable to them, and I usually tip well but this guy kept massaging me wrong even when I would say "no" and "ouch!" I've been to Happy Feet twice. The first occasion was very positive. There is an older woman that gives good massages, and she was very friendly. The second time was a nightmare. I came in at noon on a weekday. No one was there. The rooms were dirty, and sheets were undone. She was bossing around a younger woman working there and throwing towels at her. I didn't understand what they were saying, but she was clearly demeaning or yelling at her. At the end of the massage, their credit card machine was not working. My card was charged but she was unable to provide me a receipt. She asked me to hand write all of my credit card information and then demanded a $10 tip. I asked if I could come back with a cash tip and she yelled no. I was blown away. How can you demand a $10 tip on a $29 massage or a tip at all since you're clearly being rude? AVOID--AVOID-AVOID There are so many other similar business around that I think would actually appreciate the business. There are so, so many reasons why I would tell people to avoid HappyFeet Norridge, I am not sure there is enough space here, however I will itemize a few quite serious points. - My girlfriend and I called in for appointment (we informed them of our special Groupon vouchers for a full-body/hot stone massage) & subsequently called back requesting female masseuses they said OK, however when we went in for our massages she had a male therapist. - When we checked-in and presented our vouchers, a lady (who subsequently gave me my massage) said "next time, no coupon." -We were escorted to our "private room" which was sectioned off, but had a sheer curtain covering 1/2 the doorway. I noticed they had sliding doors built into the walls, I went to close it. Glass. So their private room has glass, see-thru doors. -My girlfriend walked out to the hallway to inquire about the room. Now, I am not kidding, six people came over not to help, but confront her. Some guy, actually entered the room and got in her personal space and said "it's ok, it's ok...they are all employees." She tried to explain that it was not ok and that not only she, but other clients would most like to feel the same. He got even closer. She boldly said, "I'm sorry, are you mad?" So he left. Good thing. . . - We wanted to see if they can rectify the situation with a good massage so we reluctantly stayed. - The few times I have gone for a massage, I have never had the female therapist stay in the room, instructing me to remove my clothes (Creepy). - There was no place to put our clothes upon disrobing. The therapist took my sweater and put it on the floor:"it's clean, it's clean." I explained how that is not going to work so she pulled a table in from another room on which we can place our belongings. - Massage itself was only OK. Really average. To me, it felt like they were in a rush. I mean one hour was gonna be one hour so why are you in such a hurry. However, I can tell that the male masseuse was trying to take extra care of my girlfriend since she had already expressed how the set up was not the most comfortable. - At one point, I opened my eyes during the massage after turning over and, to me, my female masseuse's face was 2 to 3 inches from mine (Double Creepy). Between watching me disrobe and getting extra close, I got the feeling that she is one of these creepers you hear about that get a certain "satisfaction" from touching-up and watching people. - Upon leaving, the guy that kind of got up on my girlfriend (perhaps the owner?) was sitting on a sofa in the lobby watching a video on his phone. We could hear his phone in our "private room" throughout the massage. Needless to say, we will not be returning to Happy Feet. Please do not waste your time or money. First they massage your head which was awful a child could of done better and as she went on to my feet she massed my left foot for literally 4 minutes and was done and went onto the next.
