Where do I begin? I was looking for a new massage place to go to. I didn't particularly like the last one I went to. I found Vive on Yelp. I looked at the prices and they were a little higher than other places I found. When I looked at the reviews, I could see why. Vive appeared to know what they were doing. I made my appointment online. Easy peasy. I get a phone call the next day. Oh no, are they going to reschedule me? No indeed. They were asking me about the medications I was on, my medical history and what I was looking for in a massage. I was impressed. Never have any of my massage companies asked me all this information. My massage was today and I went in. Nice looking office and waiting area. They have a parking lot. Place was clean, personable ladies at the desk. They took me to a separate waiting area that was dim and relaxing. I filled out a form with all my information. Orion came out and brought me in. I would say she sat with me a good 10 minutes, discussing my history and asking questions. Then she asked again about what pressure I wanted. She was very vocal about telling me if the pressure is too hard to be sure to let her know. What I experienced was wonderful. She had a nice firm touch and seemed to take a lot of time doing what she needed to do. By the time I was done, I was really relaxed. Since this was my first time with Vive I only purchased one session. I intend to purchase a package and return often. It was nice to get a senior discount. read more

Updating my review with another 5 stars as it's been several years since I reviewed Vive. Every single massage therapist that I've seen here has been amazing. I can tell that after each session careful notes have been added to my file because they bring up past "issue" areas and ask how those are doing. I love the communication and collaboration - you can really tell that each session is catered to what you need. The booking process has improved greatly in the last few months. Super easy online & email reminders are nice if you're booking weeks in advance. I think my favorite time to come is during the week in the early morning, parking is the easiest this way. Overall, I've been coming to Vive for years & will continue to drive to Park Ridge specifically because I trust that I'll leave relaxed and much less tense. I had another absolutely amazing massage with Rose today. I am so grateful to her for her care. Here are a few things that make her and her massages so special: - Rose is a gentle, kind, quiet person. No unnecessary chit chat. No commentary during the massage. This is so important to me and I really appreciate her style. - Use of HEAT. I run cold and it causes me to tense up. She started the massage with this warm water bottle thing on my back. Then when I turned over, she put something warm under my neck and shoulders while she worked on other areas. And she made the bed nice and toasty for me as well. - So much focus on my areas of concern. She didn't ignore anything but I often leave other massages feeling like I didn't get what I needed where it hurts. Not with Rose. - Balancing. Sometimes my shoulders and neck get tight when the other side is being worked on. No one else ever addresses this, but several times I felt Rose gently rub or press the side opposite where she was working to reassure those muscles and get things calmed down. - She ended the massage over my problem areas so that the last thing I felt is relief there. I honestly needed a few minutes to put myself back together when she was done. I was so relaxed and felt so cared for. I cannot wait for my next Rose massage. read more

Chris is the utmost professional who begins the session by asking what's going on, taking notes and working on those areas in addition to making certain to get all the other necessary parts of your body. Chris will gently but strongly work on all your problems until he gets rid of them, always checking in to make certain the pressure isn't too much or not enough. We can't say enough good things about Christopher, he's truly gifted. Chris works with such diligence and expertise that every time I leave I feel like a new person. He respects everyone and cares for his patients with grace and kindness. Chris is an extremely gifted massage therapist. If we aren't able to go for a week we can really feel the difference in our aging joints. Scheduling: You can make an appointment online or by calling in. When you call in (which I did), they asked quite a few questions to help find the right therapist for me. Parking is a little tricky here; it's crowded and hard to make out the proper lanes in the dark. This is especially difficult if it is your first time. When I walked in, I was greeted with a hot wrap for my neck and shoulders and a drink. If it is your first visit, they ask you come 15 minutes early to fill out some paperwork so they can tailor your experience. I've filled out a few of these in the past but it's never been used until now. I booked 60 minutes with Gabi and she was fantastic! She took the time to listen and understand my concerns then focused on my problem areas and adjusted the pressure accordingly. I'm beyond grateful and will be back! read more

I've been to many, many massage places and seen many massage therapists and this legitimately the best place I've ever been to. Every detail of the business is great! I've seen several of their massage therapists and each have been outstanding massages. They each have asked good questions and paid close attention to detail to ensure I was having a good experience/massage. They also take notes on the sessions and will ask you follow up questions the next time you see them. I've never seen another place take notes. It's impressive. I also really appreciate that they have bios about the massage therapists on their website as well as the pressure the MT uses. This is also uncommon and a detail I really like. Had a massage there this week with Janice. I was looking to get deep work on my right shoulder due to an injury. Janice was absolutely a miracle worker. She (at my request) mostly skipped the rest of my body to focus entirely on my problematic shoulder, just working on it as long as it took to loosen the shoulder and get it feeling better. It felt fantastic, and my shoulder still feels 1000% better two days later. In addition, the other staff there at their well-kept location were friendly and helpful. My birthday gift from my husband was a 60 minute massage at the location of my choosing. After doing some research, I landed on Vive!, largely based on the number of positive reviews. My husband decided to get a massage, too, so we booked tandem appointments for a Saturday afternoon. I saw Lisa for my massage and cannot overstate how wonderful she was. On my paperwork, I disclosed an injury from an accident. She sat down with me and talked about it and made a recommendation for how she wanted to spend the hour. I agreed with her assessment and I'm so glad I did. She spent the entire hour focused on my back, shoulders, neck, and head. After ten months of nearly constant pain and misery, I left today feeling like a new woman. Range of motion was restored in my neck; the nagging pain that's lingered in my shoulder was gone. My husband saw Chris and raved about his experience (his first massage ever!). He's been sore from some strength training and exercise, and said that he feels much better after his massage.
