Picture of bruises receive during massage service.

I have been here a few times and it's gone alright but my last visit a couple of weeks ago was a torture session. The woman dug into me so bad with her elbows that my body was covered in large bruises and she kept running over edges of bone. She also didn't understand that you don't use a lot of pressure on areas like inner thighs due to the sensitivity of those locations and the large artery there. I told her it was too much and even my body language was moving away from her and all extremely tensing up but she did not listen. She also attempted to stretch me and ended up pulling my Achilles tendon past it's limit and injuring it. It has taken a couple of weeks for it to start to feel better. I will never let this place touch me again and that therapist should be banned from practicing massage until she receives more education. For reference, I attached one picture of just one of the bruises she left me. This was 48 hours after the massage. I had many of these on my upper and lower back

Massage itself was not too bad, but also not the best. She asked me if I wanted a deeper pressure, but I'm afraid it just was not enough pressure. I got the reflexology as well, and she just basically rubbed my feet for 30 minutes. Maybe I'll come back for a quick chair massage since the price is pretty good. But if you would like a more serene massage, make sure to go to a spa because these walls are very thin.

Happy Foot is your typical reflexology place but also offer $20 chair massages for 25 minutes ($1 fee for payment by credit card). The interior is much smaller than most places. My therapist initially kept asking if her pressure was too light/hard. Once it was understood I preferred deep/unrelenting pressure, I began floating on cloud nine. She worked my troublesome shoulder/neck area as well as my lower back, arms and hands. Just when I thought it couldn't get any better, she placed my hands behind my head, pulled me up in order to stretch out my chest while putting her knee in my back. It may sound a bit torturous but for the back pain sufferer, it was just what I needed. To end my massage, she twisted my body while my hands were still behind my head allowing my back to pop vertebra by vertebra. The reason I took off a star is 1) the therapist stepped away briefly two times and 2) the massage face pillow was broken and occasionally moved. Those issues aside, Happy Foot has won over another customer.

Do Not Go Here! Worst Massage every! She used her elbow most of the time and it hurt so bad. Woke up in the morning and had bruises on both arms and one on my leg.

Mark the Reviewer here! Today I'll be reviewing a massage place in Murphy, TX. I'm not going to lie, this place, outside or inside is not pretty or welcoming at all. I was a bit scared when I came here and I got weird vibes like I was entering somewhere dangerous. But if you put looks and vibes aside, the cost and service are really all that matters and definitely worth the visit. I have not been to many other massage places so take my word with a grain of salt, but the prices were very cheap and affordable. I think it was about $30 for a 60 minute massage which is great value. The place is very dark and extremely quiet. It felt like I was the only person there. The masseuse led me into a room by myself and gave me some warm water for my feet. I waited for about 10 minutes just soaking my foot in the water and then I got my massage. Every part of it was just a standard massage except for when she got to my back. She grabbed the rails at the top and started stepping on me. I have a very high pain tolerance so I enjoyed it a lot but I'm warning you right now that if you can't take much pain then her stepping on you will probably hurt. Of course, you can just ask her not to do that. But yeah, everything else about the massage felt normal. I have ticklish feet so when she massage my feet then I laughed a lot and tried my hardest not to move around. The 60 minutes went by fast and I don't think it was the best massage but for $30 you can't complain. Would go again since it's so affordable and chill

Decided to try this place on a whim during my lunch hour. It's similar to the "beatings" offered at other foot massage establishments, but I have had worse! Tip to massage "therapists": I don't want to feel your fingernails digging into my skin - nothing about that is therapeutic...and how much lotion do you really need to put on my forehead?! Overall, it wasn't horrible but not what I was needing. They charge you a minimum of $1 to pay with a credit card. Sorry, but, that's the cost of doing business and it's silly to me to make the customer pay that! (It reduced the tip by $1!)

I had my first massage at Lux Thai Spa today. It was a great Thai massage with Kira. I told her and…read morethe receptionist about a few areas of chronic pain and tightness (mainly lower back and hips) and also a recent tennis elbow issue. Kira did a great whole body massage with focus on these areas in particular. The back walking and massage were moderate to deep per my request and were fantastic. I also requested stretching and the stretching was both pretty intense and very therapeutic--I felt great afterwards. I have had numerous Thai massages at several different places and they all blow Swedish massage and places like Massage Envy out of the water. This was probably the most stretching I've ever had and Kira really worked hard on the areas I requested. Both she and the receptionist were very nice, they requested pertinent medical history before the massage, the facility was very clean and the environment was relaxing. The only negative is that there is a 3% fee for using a credit card but that's pretty minor. I could tell Kira is experienced because she was very confident and efficient and frequently asked how I was doing with the pressure and stretching. Highly recommend Lux Tha Spa, I know I'll be back!

Opted for the hour and was taken to the room at the rear right and asked to undress. covered the whole time, except when stretching my legs. I've had Thai massages in LA, near Thai Town so knew what to expect. The Thai lady (don't recall name), was very professional and focused on the issues that I asked. This is a fairly new business (previous Thai Massage at same location, but different owner). I recommend if you are looking to get some of the kinks worked out by professional MT in a relaxing environment. I admit I was a little sore the next day from being stretched, but that didn't last long. I will definitely return.

Do you need a massage? Are you within 25 miles of Wylie, Texas? Why on earth would you go anywhere…read moreelse??? I'm 71 years old. When I was younger, my jobs were extremely stressful and physical, causing plenty of injuries. I had major spine surgery last year. Since then, I've done six months of physical therapy without much improvement. A few weeks ago, I gave up on the PT when my wife referred me to Kathye Hopwood. She is very impressive! I need deep-tissue work. Kathye is not a big person, but have no fear, if you need deep tissue work, she will give you exactly that! I know Kathye does many other types of massage, but I haven't tried them. If I wanted to, I know where I'd go first! ;-) Her studio is perfect. She has decorated it beautifully with things that obviously mean something to her. It's quiet and she makes sure that you're comfortable before she starts. Today was my third or fourth visit and she even remembered that I needed extra blankets for cold, (and painfully crampy), feet! Yes, it's a small thing, but isn't that the point?? As I said above, I've had a LOT of massage! The first time I went to Kathye, I told her that it had been the absolute best massage I had ever experienced. Today?? DITTO!! I've only been there a few times and I already feel like I'm making progress! If you need some massage help, check her scheduling website. Kathye can take care of you!
