Ordered every Friday for two months once out of the hospital. Almost always ordered the same thing trying to give them a chance. This is what I got, and it was consistent every time: $8.95 for five BBQ ribs, meat sliced off and dried to the bone, you wouldn't give them to your dog. Often one broken in half and counted as two pieces. $12.95 for beef and mushrooms. Every meat dish was 30% meat and 70% vegetables. The beef was buried so deep in mushrooms you would think they were trying to smuggle it out of the kitchen. And if you get beef with scallops, you get the same 70% vegetables, 30% beef, but about seven scallops the size of a nickel. No matter what you get, its buried in a mountain of vegetables, and they aren't exactly inspired. The fried rice is unbelievably bland. The pork rice may as well just be some bacon bits, if you can find them. And the menu is sort of a joke. Little variety. You could reduce it by four-fifths by just by offering to replace the protein with another meat because they are all the same dull thing. Its just soy sauce, nothing added. If the kitchen looks like the dining room, then its a wonder there hasn't been an outbreak. And never order unless its a Friday when they actually bother to actually cook, or you just get re-heated leftovers of this same garbage. read more

Stopped here for a hot and sour soup, and saw the philly cheesesteak roll on the menu and got one of those as well. The hot and sour wasn't especially hot, but it has a great flavor, and the onions and mushrooms are cut large and well cooked. The philly cheesesteak roll was just as it sounds, and was delicious. The large soup and egg roll were $6 total - a terrific value, I'll be back! read more

This place is a joke. Several times my boyfriend and I ordered from this place. Often the food was old and overcooked. They even delivered the wrong order before. We have called more than once regarding old food. And we were even treated terribly after politely explaining how the food was old. Regardless of my boyfriend being a customer for about 2 years. The old meat along with everything else made me sick to my stomach. When we called to let them know about our food being old, the owner was very rude and asked that we actually bring the ordered food back in. He said he would make us a new order. However, after bringing the food in, he immediately stated that there was some missing and then refused to give us a new order. Regardless of claiming he would. The owner does not care about any of his customers, and is a very terrible business owner. I would never recommend anyone eat from this place. They care nothing about their customers and it definitely shows. I am very surprised that this place hasn't been shut down yet. I'm sure in time they will be. If you want good Chinese food, I would definitely recommend going to some place else. I give this place less than one star. read more

Placed an order for delivery and when THERE delivery driver gets here, he drops my food. And he still gives me the food with a huge hole in the bag.and when I check it it's ruined. I call them to let them know. And they tell me to wait for there driver to get back" even though he has a cell phone he just called me off of" that's how I saw him drop the bag. They call minutes early. And the main guy at happy garden begins to ignore my calls! Then I call them on another phone and they answered and the lady said it's them again! He gets on the phone saying it's not his problem, arguing with me when it's there fault. I spent a lot of money with them and I even gave there driver a nine dollar tip to be treated with such disrespect is insane to me. That man that was on the phone acted like this is a game and he don't care cuz it's not him out of that money!!! DISGUSTING AS* PEOPLE. I called and was talking with the workers but couldnt understand them half of the time. The delivery time was half of what i could be not bad not good. The food was good at first until i got to my ramen i was eating it and got several hard stone like things in my moulth i spit them out and they looked like vegetables or something but if they were there was something wrong with them. Few hours later we get a call from happy garden saying that they are not affiliated with any website and we did not pay. My stupid husband not wanting any conflict gave them his credit card info again and we paid twice for the food that wasn't even that good. Bad business practices. read more

Ordered take out , was given incorrect items , when called back to ask to have the order corrected I was told that I would be charged for the corrected item , as if the order taker incorrectly taking the order was my fault , then she even went so far as to be heard talking to her manager on the other end of the phone say no , he ordered this , but he wants this ... Fifteen years ago, I would've given this place 1 star. The food was laughably bad. Yes, the restrooms are often out of paper towels and soap (so I have to wash my hands in the women's bathroom) and the daily buffet is the SAME stuff EVERY day (and has been for the past 150 years) but it's good. The real treat is ordering off the menu and getting spicy, tasty and piping hot food, generously served. The..ahem...ambience could use some improvement- but the food is worth a trip here! read more

We will NEVER order from Happy Garden ever again. The delivery man was very polite and the food was good. That is until my daughter found a long black hair in her food. Of course we called the restaurant and they said they would send out a new order of sweet and sour chicken to us. When the second delivery driver showed up her demanded to see the hair which had since been thrown away and I was not willing to dig through the trash to find it, he jumped his his car with the food and left. So again we called the store' and the "manager" refused to send us the food or give us a refund. He called my husband an a**hole and told him f**k you. So again...
