    Greek salad
    Tracy S.

I was very impressed with the Greek food! I was in a party of at least 15 people and the service was excellent! Everyone loved their food. I can't wait to come back. The moussaka was divine. The béchamel on top was creamy and tasty. The meat, potatoes and eggplant were seasoned nicely. I loved it so much that I couldn't stop eating it. My leftovers kept getting smaller and smaller. I ate what I took home later that same day.

The Restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere. Friendly Service & Staff. The food was delicious & something new is available on the menu with a mix of Italian, American, Greek, and some Asian dishes to choose from!

    The Mad Greek

Friendly staff. My Mad Greek was excellent. The chicken souvlaki was moist and grilled to perfection. The pita bread was warm and soft, contrary to all my prior pita experiences. With a Greek salad, it was a lot of food.

Haven't been here in awhile and missed it. The menu is still huge, even after Covid shut downs where so many restaurants trimmed their menus considerably. I chose the Greek salad with grilled chicken. It was delicious! Veggies were fresh. Lots of toppings among the lettuce. Tangy dressing. Greek salad from a Greek owner/chef is always good. Husband had fish and chips. Also very good. Fries were super crispy. Two great meals. Such a great find in a small town.

    Greek Gyro Plate

This was the first time we had gone to this place and it was mediocre at best. First of all, what is the theme here? Is it a steakhouse? Italian? Greek? SO confused. Pick one thing and do it really good. Not a million so-so things. Let's start off with drinks... they were out of their sangria... how? It is wine and juices, go to the store! Then they were out of some ingredients they needed to make their jalapeno margaritas. It was 4:30pm on a Saturday, come on people! Then my husband ordered a double captain and diet.... it came in a rocks glass. Like what???? Okay so we had a couple appetizers...Tex-Mex Eggrolls, Potato Skins and Bleu Cheese Chips. Everything was just okay. You can tell that most things on their menu come frozen from a Cisco truck! On to the main courses.... We had a big party and some got multiples but here were the main ones: -Petite Steak & Cake.... the steak was delicious!!! Crab cake was very obviously a frozen item and it sure tasted like it. -Chicken & Waffles.... this one made me laugh. The menu says, "two breaded jumbo chicken wings".... yeah they were simply two normal sized chicken tenders. It was just okay. -Greek Gyro Plate.... this goes back to what is the theme? Pick a theme and do it well, not mediocre. I have never ever seen a gyro plate that did not have tomatoes, onions, olives and feta cheese. Like come on people. Also again, meat was obviously frozen before. -New Orleans Pasta.... it's fine if you aren't looking for a cajun dish LOL. This had little to no flavor let alone cajun flavor. Needs a new name for sure. Ready for the worst one of all??? -Pork Tenderloin Sandwich.... this was NOT a pork tenderloin sandwich, this was a giant pork chop, breaded and put on a bun. This was a disgrace to pork tenderloin sandwiches. It was hard to eat, not good and NOT A PORK TENDERLOIN SANDWICH. We will not be back. Seriously save your money and go ANYWHERE else.

They have their own parking lot, can be limited during dinner time. There's also street parking. The service was good. The environment was nice and up scale. The food was good. Greek moussaka (4/5) The prime rib (5/5) Toasted ravioli (4/5) Would definitely come back to try other dishes. Definitely a must try place if you are in the area.

Cheeseburger and onion strings. Good eating!
    Michael S.

Initially felt pricey but my hamburger was humongous and grilled well; and, the onion strings were crispy with a tasty seasoning. A companion's club sandwich was also well crafted and had a large side of fries. No complaints. Service was also very good. And, the leather seating and ambient lighting make you feel you're somewhere special doing something special.

    Cookie skillet

Large menu with a variety of food types. We actually ate here 2 nights in a row. I had the Ribeye on the first night, wasn't the best, but was ok. The second night, I had the lasagna, which was pretty good. For desert we had the cookie skillet it was was one of the best I've ever had. The cookie skillet was the main reason for the 5 star rating, otherwise it would have been 4 stars. The waitresses were wonderful both nights.

We've been there 3 times now, and loved it. My Uncle was from Greece and this brings back so many memories.

Well let me start off with the fact they are over an hour away from our home. Considering they have ruined us on any and all other burger and fries, it might become a habit. Husband had the Blackberry Bacon and Blue Cheese Burger. I do not on the norm like blackberries, but on this!!!! The blackberries sweetness stands against the strong overpowering blue cheese and they meld well to make a wonderful tasting combo. I ordered There Goes My Gryo.....how did they get a freaking lamb burger, a very lean meat be that juicy!?!? I dont know but with the peppers, tomato and onion made a fresh hamburger, might be good with some kalamata olive....but I am not complaining. It was delicious. I am picky on my fries and usually dont eat the full amount restaurants serve. I had to stop myself. They are more like a shoestring but not hard or crunchy. Seasoned wonderfully! My suggestion you go in there with a big appetite, grab lots of napkins and be ready to devour the best burger you've ever had!

Luckily, that is where the JC Wyatt House comes in. Not only is the food top rate, but the entire experience is amazing. At the JC Wyatt House, you have dinner in an intimate, small dining room inside a Victorian Mansion. Here is how it works. They are only open on Thursday and Friday, 1130am to 1230pm, for lunch and Wednesday thru Saturday, 530pm to 7pm for dinner. Reservations are required and you will choose your main entree for all of your party when you make your reservation. We went for our wedding anniversary and were not disappointed. We arrived a few minutes before our 6pm reservation and were seated. At exactly 6pm, our server, Chris, started with our choice of hors d'oeuvres. Either a potato and fresh vegetable soup, or shrimp cocktail. My wife had the shrimp, and I had the soup. Both were outstanding. For dinner, I had the lamb, and my wife had the filet mignon. Both came with potatoes, carrots and a roll. Again, both meals were outstanding. We finished with a dessert trio that was amazing. Besides the fantastic meal, the service was first class, and the ambiance was really special. This is a must visit for an amazing meal. Call today and get your reservations.

They have an incredible jukebox with anything and everything on it (which I loved!!). I cannot speak to the food (we did not eat), just the cheap beers and down to earth conversations with other guests and staff. As a bar, this establishment (we were told) has been around since the 1940s and with hospitality and simple small town charm like this, it is no wonder. Patty's made Grand River IA a memorable place to stop.
