Had lunch here, Tuesday. Ordered the lunch combo which is a small list of main items, soup or salad & an egg roll or crab rangoon. The Emerald Curry was delicious & spicy. I had the choice of a soup or stir fry. I took the soup version. Next time will try the stir fry version. I had the salad with peanut butter dressing & the egg roll. Both were delicious! I have to have cream Rangoon, so ordered it as an appetizer. The lunch combo isn't exclusive to dine in only. Found this place online and stopped in for a dinner while in Maryville. I'll admit, I was a bit skeptical once I walked inside and saw the worn interior and empty dining room. BUT--the food is amazing here! I had the emerald curry (soup style) with white rice and crab rangoon as a starter. My curry was wonderful--not too spicy but very well flavored! My friend said her yellow curry stir fry was perfect as well. If I lived closer I would absolutely be getting takeout regularly from here. The prices are also super reasonable. read more

giving this place two stars a few years ago would have wounded me, yet today, i feel that two stars is excessive. i miss the old owners. i think they went back to care for their aged parents, which is admirable, but did they take into consideration all the sad people they left behind?? the decor is very worn and in dire need of an update. service is iffy - sometimes it's fantastic, other times you sit and wonder if your server went home. food used to be fantastic, and i once i left the premises, i would be thinking only of the next time i would go back. however, the food now lacks authentic taste, the ingredients aren't as fresh, they have omitted some favorites from the original menu. my review seems lame and lackluster, much like the fare at simply siam. read more

Stopped in for some togo while I was out here working in Missouri. I didn't expect much but the food was some of the best Thai food I've ever had!! This is my absolute favorite place to get food when in Maryville. Their veggie rolls have some of the best flavor and crunch. You have to get the sweet Thai oil to dip it in and if you want a little kick, add some of their chili oil to it. If you're wanting something fresh, filling, and a little on the spicy side, I highly recommend the BEAN NOOD SPICY SALAD (not a salad in a traditional sense). During the warmer months, I always get their Strawberry mango boba tea smoothie (soooo good and creamy; you can get it without the boba pearls too). Friendly staff and great food. I love the curry they have. Can even customize how spicy or authentic you want. May not be "authentic" thai since they make it americanized but they are willing to make it authentic. Best place in town and I stop in around once a week. read more

Family owned, very friendly restaurant with the best prices in town. The best egg rolls. My favorites are wonton soup, pad thai, sukiyaki stir fry. Very disappointed to say the least. Every restaurant in Maryville tonight was so crazy, with the Bearcat Basketball game in town, so we decided to give Simply Siam a try since there was no wait to be seated. We walked in and were directed by the waiter that we could have a seat on the "stage" which is the window seat. Now you're probably wondering what the 2 rating is for and I will get to that. The food was subpar. I have only eaten here twice before and had been very pleased! We arrived at 7:50pm thinking it would probably be quick as the restaurant was not packed. Please see photos that I have posted. When our waiter came to our table we immediately put in an appetizer order and our drinks. He came back with our drinks pretty quick and asked to take our order we said just one sec and he excused himself to go help at he register while we decided. I figured he would be back after maybe 5 minutes....or 10...15...nope. I got up and walked up towards the register and he told me he was sorry and would be right there. Now I understand he kept ringing up customers but he could've passed our table off to the other waitress. She was cleaning tables and taking care of her 2 tables. She came up and took our order and I let her know we had placed an order for an appetizer that we still had not seen. I was sure that had probably not been placed. Sure enough we waited another 10 minutes for an appetizer that had been ordered 30 minutes prior. Then the apps came and they were delicious. I mean I only wanted to eat my arm at this point. There was no apology for how slow the service was. There was just no excuse for our table to be neglected like it was. No one came to check our table or ask for refills. The only time we were asked how we were doing was when the food was dropped off at the table. We even had to get up and ask for the 1 refill we had. No one had been to our table to check up. Now I know this is a long post but it had to be said. This was absolutely ridiculous. I will not be dining at this restaurant ever again. Which is such a disappointment because my very first time trying Simply Siam 2 years ago I loved it. I would suggest that management works with their servers on customer service and how to properly take care of your tables. I love their Pad Thai and they have the best crab rangoons you'll ever have!! They get all their ingredients at a farmers market in Kansas City, so they are closed on Sunday and Monday so they can do that. Also they have the best egg rolls as well!!! I can never get sick of their food. read more

The owner has Khao Soi on the menu, too, which is a delicacy even in Bangkok and seldom seen in any Thai restaurants in the US. Friendly people, wonderful food, and very reasonable prices. Terrible customer service. I should've just ordered somewhere else since lately their food doesn't taste as good as it normally does. I ordered the wonton soup and it had no flavor and you could tell it was not even close too fresh so I called and told them and they brought me another wonton soup that they obviously just dumped a bunch of chicken flavoring into I felt bad for the delivery driver so I drove too the restaurant just too get a refund for it and the cook came out looked at me like I was an idiot and basically told me that the first batch is how she always makes it and if I don't like it I should order something else. I get their wonton soup at least 5-10 times a month and I know what it's supposed too taste like. I could understand her speaking too me like that if I was being an asshole or if I ate all the food and then tried too get a refund but I was really calm and polite the entire time and I wasn't even mad until she started telling me not too order it if I didn't like it and treating me like I was 5. Hope they make some changes for their sake because they just lost a lot of future business from me. read more

I live in Houston so of course it won't compare to what we get here. There are not many places to eat in Maryville so we were excited to see a Thai restaurant. The Pad Thai was ok. The yellow curry was poorly done. I do not recommend it. I would still recommend the place. Anything beats Applebee's. read more
