Cute little spot for lunch today. It's boiling outside, but it was cool and calm in this bright, pretty restaurant. Bahn Mis are their specialty, but they have a lot of other offerings, too, including croissants, noodle bowls, and rice bowls. My shredded chicken noodle bowl was quite good! It had lots of marinated chicken, rice noodles and vegetables. It was the perfect cool lunch for a hot day! My friend very much enjoyed his chicken bahn mi with crispy fries on the side. The service was friendly, and the food came out fairly quickly. Seating was odd, though. there are only three tables (each had a combination of booth seating and chairs), the rest were bar stools. The chairs and stools could have been more comfortable, and it was difficult to slide behind the table to sit in the booths.

Delicious bahn mi at a solid price point for Durham ($8-9). The bread was crusty on the outside, nice and soft on the inside. I got the classic, with a flavorful pate and crunchy picked veggies. Counter service from cheerful staff in a cutely decorated spot.

Such a cute little spot in Chapel Hill, right near UNC They have cheesecakes, macarons, Korean hot dogs, a variety of teas and much more on the menu. You can order at their kiosk or directly at the counter, and the service is super fast and polite. I tried the coconut milk tea with matcha cheese foam and honestly it was perfect as-is, didn't even need extra sugar. The vibe is really nice too. You can find cozy, more private seating if you just want to relax, or it's also a great spot for students to study or get some work done. Definitely one of those places you can hang out for a while without feeling rushed ツ

Merritt's is a place on my list (and my mother's) for a while, and now we have a chance to visit. We made small talk with the staff. They were thrilled to learn my mother bookmarked this place when she worked at UNC Hospitals some years ago. The staff treated us well. They call out orders by name, so listen closely for your name. It was too hot to eat outside, though I imagine their bamboo patio out back will be delightful to sit at in the cooler months. The inside tables along the window have a view out to the street. There's a display case featuring fresh made desserts and other sweets worth checking out. I loved the fresh tomato, lettuce, and crispy bacon on this sandwich. I'd enjoy coming back, though I think I'll take my sandwich home next time. BLTs are the specialty here, and they do a great job making them.

The outdoor patio has a lovely atmosphere, but we took out food back to the Carolina Inn where we were staying. The BLT was excellent, and this is in early March not in tomatoes season! We also had the chicken salad sandwich. My son had the cheeseburger which he disappeared in seconds. We had to have the banana pudding--fabulous!! And.c it was such a great deal...like $10 for each sandwich. We will be back for sure!!

The sandwiches were packed with flavor, perfectly cooked, and the bread was soft with just the right texture. The Clifford's Cutlet was crispy and delicious, while the McSteak was rich, cheesy, and seriously satisfying. And those chocolate chunk sea salt cookies? Absolutely phenomenal. Soft, gooey, and the perfect sweet ending to the meal. Everything arrived fresh, and I was already thinking about what I want to order next before I finished eating. If you're debating whether to try EASTCUT, do it. This was easily a 10/10 meal, and I'll definitely be ordering again.

Yelp told me this delicious sandwich shop was just 5 minutes away, which seemed like the perfect option. It was a hot summer day and I couldn't believe how many people were sitting outside in the heat. We got the last table in the air conditioned inside, which made me happy. We placed our orders at the counter: - The Jane for me - Pine Street Pimento for my daughter and a bag of chips (salt & vinegar for me) for both! We did the smaller size sandwiches which were still quite large, but we were quite hungry and finished them off. They were so good that I even thought about coming back for lunch the next day, but knew there were plenty of delicious restaurants in the area to try. However, i'll come again when back in the area!

I came here expecting greatness because the reviews were already talking crazy, and honestly, they were right. This is not some fancy five-star, velvet-rope, tuxedo situation. It is clean, modern, contemporary, and the staff was attentive. Service was impeccable. But sugar, honey, iced tea ...this review is about the food. I got the half cheesesteak so I could leave room for the Parmesan French fries, and that was the move. Now about the star of the show: this cheesesteak is so good it might split your wig back. Tender. Juicy. Scrumptious. 100% beef chopped up with grilled onions and charred green peppers, plus I opted for the cheddar cheese. Every bite was filling, rich, and straight-up delicious. The bread held up, the cheese did its job, and the whole thing tasted like somebody inside that kitchen actually is a foodie.. Then come those Parmesan deep-fried French fries ....immaculate. Crispy, salty not too salty, cheesy, and gone way too fast. The menu choices were solid too, especially the roasted garlic duck fat mayo. That alone lets you know they are not f**ing around. If you are in Durham and looking for a cheesesteak spot, hit this place up ASAP like Rocky.

We wanted to try for lunch, but that's not possible, and then we wanted to try on a Monday, but that didn't work out either. Anyway, we finally placed an online pickup order for a Saturday dinner. We tried a surf and turf (steak and shrimp) with cheese and onions- we paid extra for peppers but they left those off. We also tried a chicken, bacon and cheddar, which I liked better. We also got an order of lemon pepper fries. The restaurant was clean and fresh when we went in to pick up our food. I liked the retro vibes of the tables. The food was hot and tasty, but I wish they were open for lunch because I like to eat a little healthier at dinner.

The AC was really cranked up because it was a hot day but with the loud music. It was so loud that the guy at the counter and myself had to raise our voices to hear each other. I will say he was friendly and the service was nice and speedy. I went for lunch, and since I was feeling hungry, and they didn't have complimentary chips and salsa, I decided to get a gordita to go with my meal. The gordita was a nice crunchy fried masa tortilla at least on one side. The side laying on the tray got soaked in a grease and mainly water combination. Luckily it held together. Unfortunately, I ordered Tinga and it was pretty much tasteless. Every other time I've had Tinga anywhere else it's been marinated or stewed in a smoky and slightly spicy red sauce. This was not, it tasted and looked like just plain shredded chicken. It didn't help that pintos in the Gordita were also bland. The only saving grace was the green tomatillo sauce that tasted like it was from a can. The reason I wanted to try this place was because they had an all day breakfast portion on their menu. So the meal I ordered was the chorizo and eggs. At other places the chorizo spices up the scrambled eggs. This time it did not. It was average at best. And the red guajillo salsa was not spicy as the menu said. I've had better from a jar. I don't think I'll be returning. There are other authentic places nearby with better tasting Mexican food. I wanted to give the place 2.5 stars because it's just average, but I'm OK with 3 because of the good and friendly service.
