7/9/2024- As luck would have it, the ac decided to just blow hot air late yesterday and all night...(my dogs were miserable).. the thermostat was set to 78 but was registering 81... Started researching via Yelp (of course)... I would rather stay with the smaller business, and this one stood out. Called, and got a live person! I bought a house recently and of course the heater started giving me problems and was extremely noisy. I reached out to a few HVAC companies but Happy was the nicest and easiest to work with. Matt inspected it and gave me a rundown on my 26 year old unit and informed me the parts were either obsolete or very expensive and repairs would add up to over the cost of a new one with no warranty outside of the labor. Ultimately I decided the current repair was already 30% of the cost of a new one and at the age of the unit, it made more sense to install a new one and get the full warranty. Matt and his crew were onsite the following day, did the full install, repaired the roof around the flute at no charge, and installed a wifi thermostat all in about 6 hours. I needed furnace, which had died, and a/c replaced. It took two days to complete. Furnace the 1st day, my heat was working at the end of day 1 with the furnace replaced. The second day they completed additional furnace work and installed the a/c. They did a number of little things that showed me they took pride in their work. Our air conditioner went out and we needed to have the furnace replaced also. This was in July. The furnace is in the ATTIC in a small very hot crawl space. Matt came out and gave us an estimate. It was a very fair estimate. Dan got here at 6am and got right to work. Aaron and Luis arrived a few minutes later. They went to work. Dan was in attic most of the time. So after having a yelp account for years, Happy Heating & Air was so great that I'm finally leaving a review. AC wasn't working and the following day was going to be the first hot day of the year. I called them around 4pm on a Thursday and the next morning they came to my house and fixed my AC then and there. The technician, Alex, was beyond friendly, professional and knowledgeable. While working on my ac, I got the impression Alex was showing me and explaining everything that he was doing because he cared and wanted to share his knowledge with me, not because of a corporate policy/liability reason.
