We have been a client of Nevada Heating and cooling for many years. They have never disappointed with their excellent customer service and prompt response. This was a different situation for selling a home and we had a situation with the appraiser of the home we were selling that went MIA and that report gone with them. In that timeframe, we had three items that need to be repaired to get the new appraisal done within three days for the buyers lender and agent. it was absolute chaos for all of us inclined as everything was hinging on this inspection. I spoke with Megan at Nevada Heating and cooling immediately the next morning who was understanding of our situation but said a lot of the techs were busy but to give her a few minutes and see what she could do for me. Within 30 minutes she called called back and we were on the schedule for the next morning to get this process going and assess the repairs requested which they did and we knew exactly what it would cost and how long to repair. With in 48 hours all repairs were done with three different technicians Alan, Rob, and Zach. All of them were on time, respectful, courteous, and there were no surprises with the repairs what was quoted is what was done. They made sure the repairs were done correctly. And I also had a check-in from Megan to make sure everything was good. I do understand that sometimes businesses get negative reviews, but I will tell you that for the past seven years I have never had any negative experiences with Nevada Heating and Cooling. They went above and beyond to help us out in a really difficult situation and we will continue with Nevada Heating and Cooling at our new home! Thanks again to the team for taking care of us without your quick response and support we would have been waiting longer for the inspection of the home we we're selling and could have caused major issues for the buyers lender. Missed a call from Nevada Heating to schedule my air-conditioning service. Call them back and apparently, they are using an AI Assistant and a usual 5 minute appointment call has already taken 8 minutes. AI assistant asked numerous unnecessary questions from my name, address, phone, age of unit, service or repair, etc. I finally asked to speak to a live person and when I did, I answered more questions about our account and was told they didn't have any appointments available and it would be refered to dispatch, but someone should call me back within 24 hours. In addition to that, their AI assistant and person who answered the phone, couldn't pronounce the name of their business properly as in Nevada not in Na-vah-dah. This is what Customer Service has moved to apparently and it's unsatisfactory, not user-friendly, and not even close to anything that could be labeled acceptable customer service. read more

I contacted this company to diagnose a heating issue and the experience was not great. The technician told me the furnace needed to be replaced and I was given some very high quotes. The models they offered did not match the price level at all (Goodman furnaces at Carrier rices), so I wanted another opinion before making a big decision. A different HVAC company came out and fixed the problem without replacing the furnace. The repair cost was far lower. They also found that the first technician had left a jumper on the control board to force the heat to run even though the board had failed. I was told this can bypass important safety functions and can lead to overheating or carbon monoxide problems. I was not comfortable knowing that was left in my home. The difference between the two companies was obvious. One tried to sell me a replacement I did not need, the other repaired the real issue safely and professionally, they also found what was causing the over-amp on the control board (a failed louvre) and were able to replace it. Based on what happened, I would not recommend this company and I would encourage anyone dealing with HVAC problems to get another opinion before saying yes to any major work. read more

We had a leak coming from a furnace in our attic and Miles quickly found the issue and throughly explained and showed me why we needed a new unit. He took time to show my on his camera tool what the issue was and played out the options. Fast forward 1 week, these guys installed replacements and it's working perfectly. Inspected their work after they left and it looks great, cleaner than when they started and everything looks to be done with a lot of attention to detail. Highly recommended. We had just moved into our home in Sparks and had an unexpected cold snap and could not get the propane furnace to function( it had actually snowed!!) Having just purchased a home that was 12 years old and not knowing the history of HVAC maintenance we contacted Nevada Heating and Air to come out for a service. Cody showed up and conducted a thorough inspection and cleaning of the unit and gave us detailed info on what he had done along with pictures of our unit. I also pointed out a line on our AC unit that lacked any insulation and he quickly took care of that for us also. When paying we were given the opportunity to sign up for a yearly service maintenance that includes the heater, air and water heater at a very reasonable price. We took the 3-year deal because it equals out to getting 1 year free. Couldn't be more pleased with the service and hope to have Cody as our assigned technician for years to come. Great Job. My review is about several visits over different days by different techs. We had a new HVAC system installed in 2024. I have been a client of Nevada Heating since approximately 2018 (when it was called Home Energy Experts). Since this new system was installed, we have had five service calls relating to the new system regarding various issues. For our annual maintenance visit, Cody was amazing and did a wonderful job. I like having the same tech for each visit. The office called before his arrival and he arrived and got right to work cleaning our unit. He listened to my concerns and issues that I have been having since we had the new system installed (next few paragraphs). Now for the issues relating to the first year of our new HVAC system. Some issues are beyond the control of Nevada Heating and other issues are just "bad luck". I will admit that I grew increasingly frustrated with the continued calls to NV Heating and a lack of response on some calls (which was not my experience over previous years). At the beginning of July, I cam home and the system was off. I called the office and Roger (who installed our system last summer) came out on Friday and replaced a part that should have lasted three to five years but lasted less than one year. Fast forward to three weeks later and and I again came home and again the system was off. There were no power outages and there were no discernable reasons for the system to not be working (Thursday, July 31). I called the office and received a call back from Roger. He stated that the manufacturer would be in town and if he could call me the following day (Friday) to set up an appointment for him and the manufacturer to come out and review everything to make sure that nothing was missed. I did not receive a call on Friday. I was frustrated because I was going into the weekend with a system that was, in my opinion, limping along. I had to baby it to and constantly monitor it to make sure it was working. I followed up with a call on Monday, 08/04 at 8:35 am and asked to receive a call back as soon as possible (the team was not in the office yet). I did not receive a call and ended up calling them back at 4:36 pm. I was told they left for the day. I asked that I be called first thing on Tuesday to get this scheduled or I would be calling another company to repair this. I received a call from Roger on Tuesday (08/05, 09:11am) and scheduled a visit on Wednesday, 08/06 between 2 pm and 4 pm. I left work early on Wednesday after rescheduling my afternoon clients. I received a call from Nevada Heating at 2:32 pm believing this was the call letting me know that Roger was on his way. Wrong. Apparently, there was some kind of emergency and he would not be coming on Wednesday. If he had an emergency, why could they have not called earlier in the day so I could remain at my office? I was displeased to say the least. The appointment was rescheduled for 08/08 between 2 pm and 4 pm. Roger arrived and looked at the system and found nothing wrong with it (which made me feel crazy). I informed Roger that this experience has made me rethink additional work I received quotes for (toilet replacements, water heater expansion tank replacement and maintenance, care club for my gas fireplace). This is a relationship that is about eight years old and I was hesitant to just end it. The system is currently working. However, I do not completely trust it. I feel like I have my old system that was installed in 2002 because I check it when I get home each day and do my best to make sure it is on and working. At this point, we are not going to have the manufacturer out because Roger believes he has the unit fixed. I am providing three stars because the experience was mixed. I still have not decided on whether I am going to have the additional work done (a total of approximately $5,000). When they are on point, they are great. The experience this past year has been questionable and I have not scheduled the work I have estimates for because of my recent experiences. read more

Reed McCue came out for our semi-annual HVAC inspection and tune-up. He arrived on time, was neat, clean, and a good representative for the company. Reeds inspection and tune-up of the AC was expertly performed and he pointed out a few age related components that may need repair or replacement in the days ahead. We used the services of another HVAC company in the Reno/Sparks area for many years before they grew to large for the 'individual homeowner.' We changed to Nevada Heating and they've been everything we could hope for, ever since. I would recommend them to anyone in need or service or repair. read more

I had a very disappointing experience with Nevada Heating and want to warn others before using their services. In April 2023, I called them to fix an issue with my gas fireplace, where it would randomly turn back on after being switched off from the wall. Two technicians came out and convinced me that bypassing the wall switch and installing a remote control would solve the problem. I was skeptical but went ahead with their recommendation since they assured me there was a warranty. Fast forward to winter 2023--when I started using the fireplace again, the same issue persisted. The fireplace still turns on randomly, and now the remote they installed doesn't even work to turn it on or off. When I contacted Nevada Heating, they told me this wasn't covered under warranty because the remote itself was "functioning properly." So now I'm stuck with a remote I never wanted and the original problem unresolved. To make matters worse, when I called customer service again, they said they could send a technician--at my expense for $170--to diagnose the very problem they failed to fix in the first place. Conveniently, they also have no record of my original call within the warranty period. This company does not stand behind its work, and instead of making things right, they try to squeeze more money out of customers. Evan descale my on demand hot water heater. He also checked my sinks and water system. He found a leak and fixed it. Evan is professional,courteous and knowledgable. He was also had to check a malfunctioning water sensor in the attic. He did not have a ladder tall enough to get into the attic. I called the office and they sent Evan to Home Depot to get a taller ladder to access the attic. Most companies would have rescheduled,but this company went the extra mile to get promise work done. We have been using Nevada Heating for a few years. They installed our new heater and was here to do the annual check up. The appointment went smoothly and was satisfied with the service. However, the technician replaced the filter as part of the check up. That was on Nov. 5th and since then everytime the heater goes on we would hear a crinkly noise coming from the filter intake. We opened it up today, and found that rather than putting in a filter that fit...he took 2 different ones and taped them together. Because it didn't fit he had taped it to the opening with the silver tape...which what was causing the crinkling sounds. I called their office and the girl answering the phone tried to deflect me. Told her my husband had put in a filter and I wanted someone to drop off a filter since it was part of the check up we are paying for. She told me that since we already had a filter they would bring one next year. At that point, I asked to talk to the manager which once again she deflected me and said she would have the manager call me. This was just pure laziness and a cheap shot. We will probably be cancelling our "membership" with them if this is not corrected ASAP. read more

Our furnace quit working. Cody Cotton came as he said he would on time! He is an amazing young man He found the problem and was able to fix it in a few days. (Parts store closed - holiday) soon as store opened and got part he fixed our problem. He was most helpful explaining what was wrong and how it could be fixed. My heater was acting weird the last couple of months and I had recently had my thermostat replaced by Nevada energy. That didn't seem to fix the problem so I knew it had to be the furnace. Nevada Heating was the first place I called and they scheduled Cody Cotton to be at my house that day. First thing he noticed was my filter was dirty and that seemed to fix the main issue; however, he still went in the attic to check the furnace since it hadn't been serviced in many years. He found a few issues and corrected them. All seems to be working appropriately now. Everyone was super friendly and helpful from the phone calls and reaching out and remaining in contact right up until Cody arrived. He was super friendly and very personable. They are NOT locally owned and were bought out by a Wall Street Power Broker which explains why they have failed to refund me the $210 they have owed me for several months. Nevada Heating and Air came to our home back in July of 2024 when a flash flood rain event hit Hidden Valley. They fixed the AC but since the system was almost 20 years old we decided to replace it. I think they sent the B team out to install because later another technician showed up and everything went much faster and it was installed. Now summer of 2026 and we have another rain event that ended up being much worse and water an mud picked the unit up and it then landed on the wall next to our garage. Called Nevada Heating on Sunday so they would get out to our house Monday am. Talked to Tyler who said since this was an emergency situation they would get right on it. Heard nothing "CRICKETS" called around 8:15 am Monday am and they were going to call back. Nothing. I decided to cancel with them and call another company that came right out immediately. This and another experience basically taught us to not use Nevada Heating and Air ever again. read more

I used NH for six years for HVAC and water heater maintenance. It was fine. they installed a new AC about six weeks ago. I was given no documentation such as warranty info and owners manual. I called repeatedly with no results. This week, apparently in response to the anger in my voice they delivered installation instructions. These will come in handy if I uninstall and reinstall the unit. The blower unit says on it that I need the User Instruction Manual. NH says there isn't one. I would go online but I have no info as to model number. I can't open the blower without the instructions that are probably in the manual. I did receive the warranties today but it shouldn't have taken 42 days and numerous phone calls. Customer service is non-existent. Those answering the phone are not equipped to do more than make appointments. Requests outside that scope are pretty much ignored. Once I was forwarded to the voicmail of "SHE WHO CAN FIX THIS". My call was not returned. I have three service contracts (prepaid) with NH. Once those are fulfilled I will contract elsewhere. read more

I have had another fireplace expert come to assess the damage. I had a 2 sided gas fireplace and their sales rep, Randy, sold me on the benefits of an insert that would heat my entire house. When they came for the install, instead of telling me the insert was not going to fit and provide other options, they MADE it fit. They removed the sheet metal, the spacers and the entire floor and spliced all the wires. They destroyed my fireplace! I have been told a contractor will need to rip out my beautiful brickwork and demo the entire fireplace. I filed a complaint with The BBB and they waited months to respond (BBB had closed the case due to their lack of response) then said the statute of limitations is past and they stand by their work. They stand by THIS work? Who does this to a customer? What if this was their daughter or mother who was on the receiving end of their shotty work. How can I sell my house when the focal point of the living room has been destroyed? The insert was a lemon from day one and I had no way of knowing they destroyed my fireplace until I went to other distributors to replace it, and they were all flabbergasted and what they had done. Not only will no one replace my fireplace, they will not even remove it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Below are photos of my fireplace that needs to be demolished in order to fix the damage. Today Adrian and Neige worked nonstop for nine hours without a break to install our new heating and cooling system. They were incredible. They were on time and kept our house very clean while working. I hope the young man helpful, and taught us how to turn on and off our water heater, gas lines, new thermostat, new carbon oxide monitor, and even showed us how to effectively use our circuit breaker box. They explained everything in detail about our new system and showed us photos and videos of the work they did, and how they protected our house from potential dangers and water flooding. Response to my call for a cost estimate. Called for estimate, rec'd date for estimate (about 10 days out). Young estimator arrived; walked him through job needed; showed estimator my NEW faucets to be installed (5 total) -advised him I wanted 11 push/pull water controls (under sinks and toilets) changed out over my concern about leaks. Asked for a written Estimate. Estimator showed me his figure of Near $2000 BUT said he would have to run it by the Plumbing Mgr. first before I got a copy. Mgr. called; said Estimator misquoted and new price would be $7300. I questioned both quotes and Mgr. said he would get back to me with a new quote. Mgr. called with a Quote of $3000 minus a discount??? By now it was clear this was a "bait and switch" in process. At that point I ended the entire process . Too bad the first experience was very good because after todays experience I will be seeking a new Service Provider and it will not be a company specializing in HVAC, it will be an experienced Plumber who can handle Estimates. read more
