Had a great time here, service was wonderful and the lady taking our order explained all the drinks they can make and their specials since it was our first time. Coffee was great and made exactly as you'd hope for. It's a small shop with good seating and very well set up. Will definitely come back - from the service to the coffee, everything was wonderful!

Great spot in Tempe. Came in for a quick coffee after mass and a snack. The girls at the front were nice and got our coffee quick. The spot is cute and small and has a cool board and here you can buy a friend coffee. The waffle taco was good, a little sweet but to be expected with Nutella and banana topped with powder sugar.

Really nice coffee spotting Tempe! I had a latte with oatmilk. The coffee was amazing. Not bitter at all. They have a lot of different flavors you can add to your coffee or latte. There were some sugar free options as well. My boyfriend had the chai latte. It was good, but it was so so sweet. Would definitely get half sweet next time if possible. The Nutella and Banana waffle was also really good. I thought the prices were reasonable as well. The Marvel art inside is really cool and I enjoyed looking it over while I drank my coffee. There are about 5 tables inside and some outdoor seating as well. The service was excellent and our barista was friendly. Would definitely come back!

The coffee was so good! The barista helped me pick it out, she was so nice! The art was cool to look at while I waited too! Amazing place.

OG Granola: oat milk latte with honey and cinnamon

Heard great things about Happy Joe Coffee, so decided to check it out one weekday afternoon. There's limited paid street parking as well as a garage nearby, I think. The shop is cute and cozy. Loved the Marvel art on the wall! There aren't many tables, so if you're looking to work or study, it's best to arrive early to grab a spot. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I was tempted to try a new-to-me drink, but decided to go with my usual, an oat milk latte with honey and cinnamon. To my surprise, they had it on the menu! They call it the "OG Granola." I also ordered a breakfast bagel sandwich, which had egg and cheese. The latte was delicious and well balanced. The sandwich came toasted and was tasty. The prices were very reasonable. I would visited again if I'm back in the area.

A great coffee shop! We stopped in quickly for two cold brews. The barista was very kind and helpful. They have a large selection of special coffees as well. Quick service snd good coffee!

I always enjoy checking out local coffee shops when traveling. While up in Tempe I stopped by this small locally owned coffee shop. The wall mural was rad and the coffee came out quickly despite it being a busy Saturday morning. They allow you to customize the sweetness which I always like. I got the cookie butter latte with almond milk and it was great!

This place is a solid stop. I got a Vanilla Bean Cold Brew and their Turkey and White Cheddar sandwich on an everything bagel. The coffee was very tasty. I'm impressed. The sandwich was good as well. Next time though I'll ask if they can toast the bagel. It comes with a chipotle mayo that's pretty decent too. The baristas were friendly and quick. It's a small location with limited outdoor and indoor seating and parking that can be tricky. Definitely more of a grab and go situation. Fairly pricey, but good nonetheless.

Cute little spot right downtown! Easy parking close by. Lots of fun and seasonal options. We went with classic lattes and the coffee was very good. The baristas were kind and welcoming. We will definitely stop back

We were staying down the street at the Residence Inn and decided to give this place a try and had we did! First of all, the customer service was excellent! Answered lots of questions for us and even offered to make a sample of one of the specials we were curious about. Beyond that, the coffee was excellent! I find they sometimes mom and pop shops have bitter espresso but Happy Joe's was excellent! And of course the mural is pretty impressive!

    Strawberry waffles

Absolutely not. I usually come and get their strawberry waffles, which usually comes with three waffles, a couple strawberries, and some whip, whipped cream powder, powdered sugar in a side of syrup.. however today no whipped cream and there seems to be lots of black stuff on the waffles. They taste burnt, although they might not look like it. They have a really weird smell to them as well. I was gonna say maybe it's because I came later in the day so they're not fresh off the press or whatever but they don't close until 5 PM so that can't be it. I don't know what's happening it's a waste of my money and I won't be going back. Also these waffles don't come with chocolate chips. They're just regular waffles so I have no idea what that black stuff is really

    Alexandria R.

Ok I loved this place! The coffee was delicious, the waffles felt unique and the vibe felt very easy going! The food options will meet any craving you have especially on the go! Ability to add cbd to my coffee is the ultimate combo! The seasonal specials were absolutely fantastic and thoughtfully crafted flavor combos. The worker was helpful and informative and kind to our little one.

    Vanilla dirty chai
    Destiney L.

I ordered a Vanilla dirty chai with vanilla cold foam, and a Nutella waffle! Both were so tasty. The two baristas were soooooo sweet. One of them informed us that this shop is pet friendly so we brought in our pitbull and they loved him. They offered him a pup cup and water right away. One of them was even giving us tips on where to get ointment for his hotspots (we're not from here). Love the ambiance, the drinks, and the service. I've tried MANY different coffee shops for the two weeks I've been here and this is def my top two.

I am a HUGE fan of pistachio and gin so immediately I had to get his drink but it was beyond mediocre. Are we drinking only syrup??? My last complaint is the coconut tres leches dessert.... Do we actually know how to make tres leches or we just naming desserts however we want? Just curious. It came out super hot, steaming more like a molten cake. While the ambience is fairly simple, the overall experience is a positive one, especially once the food arrives. I ordered the lox and bagel and was impressed by how substantial the portion was. The lox was generously layered, with a large amount of arugula on top. The arugula appeared to be lightly dressed with olive oil, which added great flavor. While it did not fully align with my personal dietary preferences, it was well executed, and I would be happy to return to see if it can be adjusted. The dirty chai was another highlight in terms of flavor. It was well spiced and not overly sweet, which I appreciated. Although it was described as very hot when delivered, it arrived closer to lukewarm, but the taste itself was enjoyable. Service was efficient and attentive. The check was dropped off relatively early, which initially felt a bit quick, but our server continued to check in on us throughout the meal, creating a balanced and courteous experience. The fresh squeezed orange juice was excellent, and everything we ordered was well prepared. Parking in the area can be challenging, though the nearby parking structure behind Pedalhaus makes it more manageable. Overall, this is a reliable brunch option with strong portions, thoughtful flavors, and enough positives to make it a place I would gladly return to.

It was absolutely delicious and the best part of the dining experience. The BLTA (Bacon Lettuce Tomato Avacado) sandwich was way too heavy on the lettuce and the bread was quite hard, making it difficult to eat. It was moreso a handheld salad. Service was okay, though not especially attentive, as our water wasn't refilled. At the host stand there was some confusion when we arrived. She didnt realize we were standing there and then when my boyfriend asked a question about a menu item she didnt respond. Not sure if she was just not paying attention, the music was too loud, or didnt want to converse with us. Sort of awkward. We popped in this particular Saturday morning while trouncing through the Tempe Festival of the Arts. There was a line (no surprise since it is ASU territory), but the layout of the line meant people brushing by you & getting too close. The guy who took our order was uncheerful & came across as "I don't want to be here; what do you want?" Not the best impression. We placed our order & were lucky enough to find a seat. There is a small patio on their south side; the light rail to their north. The guy who delivered our food was more friendly. The cinnamon roll was so dry, I swear it had been sitting out for a week -- and there was too much cinnamon. My sister's classic eggs benedict was unappetizing; the English muffin, too, was dry. So dry she practically needed a steak knife to cut into it. There's a Proof Bread shop just down the street. How Daily Jam can have such God-awful muffins is beyond me. The potatoes had no seasoning, she had to salt them -- and the salt & pepper shakers needed filling. My croque madame was edible, if simple. In short, there is absolutely no desire to visit Daily Jam again.

A lot of places start making you feel awkward if you stay too long, but the service here stayed friendly and attentive the entire time we were there. The mimosas were honestly one of my favorite parts because they had so many different fresh juice flavors to choose from instead of just the typical orange juice. It made the experience feel way more fun and customizable, and you could actually taste how fresh the juices were. Every mimosa we tried was refreshing and super easy to drink. The food was also really good and paired perfectly with the drinks. Everything tasted fresh and well-made, and it all came out quickly even though the place was busy. My husband and I found this place online, and it looked like a great spot for brunch. When we arrived, there was no one at the hostess stand, and it took quite a while for anyone to acknowledge us. When the hostess finally came over, we asked for a table for two. She immediately told us there was only outdoor seating available and didn't even mention that waiting for an indoor table was an option. Keep in mind, it was 110°F on a Sunday in Arizona. My husband had really been looking forward to trying this place, so we asked what was available and decided to stay. We were seated outside near the entrance. Shortly afterward, we watched the hostess tell other guests who arrived after us that indoor seating was available with only a 5-minute wait. Why wasn't that option offered to us? We absolutely would have waited. Unfortunately, the hostess's attitude and the way the situation was handled completely changed the experience for us. It left us feeling unwelcome, and we weren't able to enjoy our meal the way we had hoped. The food may have been fine, but customer service is a huge part of dining out, and this experience overshadowed everything else. Safe to say, we won't be returning. An unfriendly and dismissive environment is not something I'm interested in supporting.

Now listen... the spot itself is cute. Once we actually got service, our waiter was cool. It just took forevvverrrrr & I ended up having to request cutlery after food was served. To be fair, it was busy, but there also seemed to be plenty of wait staff, so I'm not exactly sure where the disconnect was. Food-wise: the spinach artichoke dip was definitely the table favorite. My caprese panini was ok, it was sadly lacking pesto which feels a little criminal for a caprese situation. Our friends loved the fancy French toast & I was absolutely there for the prickly pear mimosas The entire brunch honestly felt like it was one dropped plate away from becoming a sitcom episode. One poor new waiter dropped a plate on the floor, then later knocked glasses off the rack above the bar & shattered a couple right next to guests sitting there.
