Context: My 3-year-old son has a difficult time adjusting to new routines and people. Incredibly shy and wary of strangers, it takes him a long time to engage with teachers and make new friends. He is also prone to extended emotional tantrums and sometimes doesn't have the ability to self-soothe. The staff at CEE is amazing. He bonded with his teachers the first week and made friends on day one! I cried because I have never seen him flourish so fast in a new environment. Having attended 2 preschools prior, it was always a hellacious adjustment. The teachers are truly caring and the kids are so kind to one another. They do a fantastic job of keeping the classrooms clean. This was the first school where I instantly felt my child was SAFE. CEE is truly a hidden treasure in the hills. The only reason we did not continue at CEE for the school year is because we moved to San Diego. I treasure the time spent there, it is truly the best place for a quality preschool/kindergarten education.

They also accept the Self-Determination Program, which has made services much more accessible for us. After working with Ms. Kristin for a little over a year, we have seen the most improvement we've ever seen with my daughter. Her articulation is so much better, her vocabulary has increased tremendously, and she is now 100% intelligible. What I appreciate most about Kristin is that she really understands PDA. She does not push my daughter in a way that overwhelms her, but she still encourages her to work, participate, and have fun while doing it. Kyra is also wonderful to work with. Christine rescued my voice! She quickly assessed my problems, all areas that needed to be…read morestrengthened or corrected, and effectively designed and taught me a comprehensive rehabilitation program tailored for my voice. I had the dreadful experience of losing my singing voice due to multiple factors, which is an extremely stressful dilemma for a performing musician. I visited a laryngologist who determined I had vocal atrophy and recommended voice therapy. I met with Christine and showed her the footage from the scope and she immediately pointed out some spots on my vocal folds that looked suspect (the doctor missed them), and recommended additional testing to rule out problems in addition to atrophy. Christine gave me referrals to some top laryngologists and additional testing indeed revealed that I had more going on, such as acid reflux, which impacted my voice as well. Christine showed me some strategies on how to cut down acid reflux and taught me effective techniques for my voice. With Christine's help my singing voice has quickly returned. She is still helping me to correct some lifelong bad singing habits but it feels great to be able to rely on my voice again with confidence. I highly recommend her! Thank you, Christine!

We were referred to Christine by my 15 yo son's developmental orthodontist who suspected a tongue…read moretie which would greatly affect any long term orthodontic outcome. He was correct and Christine diagnosed him with a posterior tongue tie. He has been seeing her for a few months now and her therapeutic approach has greatly helped my son retrain his tongue muscles which affects his teeth, breathing, speaking, swallowing, etc. She has a calm and reassuring energy and is extremely knowledgeable. In addition to the actual exercises, he receives the myofunctional release massage as well and this works wonders on his neck tension which is caused from the tongue tie. He says he feels more confident after each session! We've decided to move forward with a surgical tongue release and will continue the myofunctional therapy with Christine to assure a successful outcome. I highly reccommend her, she's great!
