Been to Happy Lemon in Lynnwood, WA a few times with some friends so when I saw this location I decided to give this one a try. Always a great experience, the staff are super friendly and helpful, the drinks are always good and very consistent. Ordered the bubble waffle for the first time and I was impressed. The bubble waffles are crispy outside and chewy inside. Creative drinks. Fast moving service and worth the visit. Can't wait till my next visit to PDX. This will be one of the places on my check list to go to. read more

One of my favorite boba places! I would go to Happy Lemon all the time when I visited Seattle. They are known for their bubble waffles. I've tried the matcha and original flavors. The original is the best. I love the pillowy texture and taste-not too sweet. You definitely need to eat the waffle when it's fresh and warm. My favorite drinks are their mango matcha, strawberry shortcake and the ube with taro balls. Their cheese drinks are also really good too. They used to have a ube drink with black tea, but that's no longer on the menu. I also think they got rid of their avocado items as well. Hoping they will make a comeback someday. I also love how they have seasonal drinks. Service here is always consistently good. I'm always greeted when I enter. Tip: Use the Clover app to rack up points. Buy 10 items and you can get a free drink. They also give a free drink for your birthday! read more

I've been coming to this place at least once a week since they've opened and they've definitely improved. The workers are almost always young, (most, but not all, young people tend to have fun bubbly personalities, probably because their dreams haven't died yet, which is so cute, and a nice reminder when I thought life was still "beautiful and nothing hurt") friendly, fast and efficient. Even when they only have 1 employee running the store on a supposedly "not busy time of day", which side note to Happy Lemon: please don't stop this practice at once, this is never safe behavior for anyone, but especially since the workers here tend to be very young female. One of the times I came in, it was so busy and this poor worker was by herself! And in these times where some businesses doesn't take cash anymore because of robberies? Come on Happy Lemon, being safe can and will save your company money in the long run. The drinks and food (bubble waffle) are always consistently good, and taste the same whichever Happy Lemon I go to. Familiarity can be so comforting. The place is small but always clean, bathroom has a code but it's printed on your receipt so you'd never need to ask for it (which sometimes can be so embarrassing I'd rather get UTI than ask for a bathroom code, and yes I know #introvertproblems) I definitely recommend this place, oh and they have an Instagram page which is so adorable. It just seem the employees don't like to work. I tried going early when they open, but they are just not prepared and I had to leave. I went another day before before the time that the website says they close (8pm), it was 7:35 and they said they stop serving waffles at 7:30. So I tried again to be there before 7:30, it was 7:25 and they still denied me a waffle. I told the register lady I am there before 7:30, but she said they had two orders before me and that the machine had to be off by 7:30 (she said this in a very smirky way. It was 7:28 and the two orders before me were done so I don't see why they couldn't squeeze one more in for customer satisfaction. Similar to the Bridgeport location, drinks and snacks were all very tasty. However, unlike the Bridgeport location, drinks took very long to make. First time, two drinks took over 20 mins to make, and they forgot our boba. Second time was a bit quicker, but then they forgot our taro balls and red bean paste! We were able to get the boba in a separate container but didn't even bother the 2nd time. It's clear the employees here either need more training or they need to hire more help. I'll be going to the Bridgeport location in the meantime. read more

We've made 5 attempts over 2 weeks to get their popular taro drink and every time we've come they're always sold out. We usually arrive an hour to 2 hours before closing and they always run out of taro. Other yelpers have also mentioned they close their waffle station at 710 and are out of drinks and toppings by 7. Is it that difficult to make more especially when they know it's their most popular drink? Extremely disappointed with their prep. I think we'll start recommending different dessert spots. This place is AHHMAZING! I'm from Seattle originally, anyone from Seattle knows we have a ton of good boba places and this place blew every single one of them out of the water!! I can't get over how personalized you can get with each drink, I honestly don't think I could ever go any where else for boba again. This location was so cute too, the girls working were so sweet, super informative and accommodating since I had never been before, let me try new toppings I had never had and once the orders were in they had them out so quickly. The taste was 100% on point. We got the Mango matcha smooth with mango crystal topping and the Ube milk tea with Taro root boba per other reviews recommendations. All I can think about is what I am going to try on my next visit, so many choices!!! But also the ones we got just might be the only thing we ever get because they were that dang good! read more

This is always my go to place for teas! My favorite is the grapefruit slush (50% sweet). This location opened not too long ago and was super excited to have one close by. We went there today and there was a little wait due to them being short staffed, mobile orders and getting big orders from customers ahead of us. It is understandable for the wait. Unfortunately, they had to experience a KAREN... who felt entitled enough that her drink was that more important than others. These employees are working their butts off and please understand there may be a little longer of a wait, especially coming on a SUNDAY. But overall, would 100% recommend to others! The staff is super nice and was very apologetic regards to the wait. (Which we didn't mind) Please be kind to these employees. You may have a hard time waiting for your drink but understand the pressure they are going through trying to get all those orders out and on top of that being short staff. Apparently if the worker here messes up the drink they won't remake it for you.... We had an incident where the employee refused to admit they were wrong because they interpreted the order incorrectly and proceeded to make the incorrect drink. Upon receiving our order, we poked the top with the boba straw. We realized it was wrong right after, and as we are still at the pick up counter, we informed the employee this is not the correct drink and wasn't what we had ordered. The worker said because the top has been punctured, and if we wanted the correct order, they would make us pay for it again..... Her attitude was uncalled for and even the other customer waiting looked shocked that the employee had sassed us. Why does it matter if it was punctured? We weren't going to take it because it was incorrect. Was she planning on reselling it or reusing parts of the drink? That is concerning. It shouldn't even matter if it was incorrect. Really happy that Happy Lemon opened a location closer to me. Plenty of parking on a Saturday afternoon which is a plus. The interior of the place is clean and smells so wonderful from the freshly made waffles. There are several tables inside for dine in. Customer service was great. I recommend getting a drink with their salted cheese topping since that is what they're known for. This place is the best! I got the milk tea with Oreo puff cream and my sister got the mango lemon slushie with added boba. The boba itself was the perfect amount of chewy and sweet. And the flavor of the drinks was INCREDIBLE! The milk tea was smooth, creamy, and the Oreo flavor of the cream really came through. Was super excited about a Happy Lemon being in Beaverton but was greatly disappointed. When ordering my drinks, the cashier was very rude :( I ordered what I normally get (apple lemon jasmine g tea) and when telling her I wanted to change the sweetness/ice level, she gave my a dirty look. My friend tried using a gift card to pay but it didn't work. The cashier seemed to be irritated so another cashier came up. She was super nice and helpful even though we couldn't use the gift card (idk if gift cards work on their system yet). We also had to wait over 20 minutes as they lost our drink order. One of my favorite boba tea places in Portland! I'm glad they opened the new one nearby. As I know, they are the only boba tea place that has taro ball. So good! Don't get me wrong, drinks here are sooo good. But service @ this location.... Needs work.... Still currently in here 40 minutes (not exaggerating) after putting order in and drinks still waiting on the counter to be made. At this rate it will be another 10/15 min. Staff needs training here to be more efficient or they need to make sure they have more than 3 ppl working on a Sunday during these rushes. If ppl are coming in & the drinks you STILL have to make have filled up your whole topping table & you have no room to put anymore drinks on it & you got to put the cups near your register... you need to stop taking orders & help home girl drowning in the back making all the drinks & waffles... -- idk who's making up the Karen thing & pointing it toward me... This was just a review to try to help the ppl that run the business just know how some customers are feeling. All I know is, I didn't say anything to any customers so that's a straight lie.. there might have been more than one customer this day feeling this way.. I waited & got my delicious drink. Yelp is for reviews so businesses can learn & ppl to just know what to expect sometimes. By the looks at it, other ppl have experienced this too. If you have to go & write 5 star reviews & lie for your business just to outweigh these other reviews, that's not a place i want to come to anymore.
