My mom, family, and I all came in for pedicures, and from the moment we walked through the door, every single staff member treated us with the utmost kindness and respect. This was my first time visiting, but you would have never known it. They made us feel like valued, returning guests, remembered our names, and created such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Everyone was so friendly, and we had an amazing time laughing, relaxing, and celebrating together. Located in the Equinox Plaza in Marina del Rey, Happiness Nails truly feels like a luxury spa experience without the luxury price tag. The salon is beautiful, the service is top-notch, and the pricing is incredibly reasonable for the quality you receive. If you're anywhere near Marina del Rey and looking for a place to get your nails done, this is the spot. They deserve far more than five stars! Avoid this place at all costs. I had one of the worst pedicure experiences I've ever had here. I asked the nail technician if she could help remove an ingrown toenail. Instead of telling me if it wasn't something she could safely do, she kept digging deeper and deeper into my skin. It was extremely painful, and even after I told her it hurt, she didn't stop. She only stopped because I physically pulled my foot away. If she wasn't trained or comfortable handling an ingrown nail, she should have simply said so. I would have completely understood. To make matters worse, once she finished my pedicure, she walked away without saying a word and left me sitting in the chair. She went to help another customer put on her shoes--even though she wasn't even that customer's technician--while I had to twist around and search for my own shoes, which had been left behind my chair. It was incredibly rude and unprofessional. I brought my concerns to the owner, hoping she would take them seriously, but instead she immediately made excuses for the technician. She claimed the technician was probably waiting for my polish to dry... except I had gel polish, which doesn't need to air dry. There was no apology, no accountability, and no attempt to make things right. Customer service clearly isn't a priority here. Between the painful treatment, lack of professionalism, and the owner's unwillingness to address legitimate concerns, I won't be returning. There are plenty of nail salons that actually care about their customers. Save yourself the pain and go somewhere else. read more

I hate to leave this review, but it has to be said. I asked for a clear polish on my nails as I had done them myself the day before so I only needed a clear polish. He quoted me $12. I told him that was a lot based on what I'm used to he started yelling at me to the point where the other ladies who worked there started coming to my defense it became a yelling and shouting match between them. I was mortified because during the argument, he kept yelling towards me $12!!! Turns out they only charge 7 for clear polish. I was mortified. He continued being nasty and never apologized. After that my nails were filed crooked but I was so over it I just paid and left. read more

I came in today, cause my girlfriend said she had decent experience with this place and she wanted to get pedicures and the place I go to was closed. The first Nail Tech clipped my toe twice on the right and it hurt and then three times on the other foot before I said I was done. I'm not sure if it was a manager, but the person sitting at the front desk said I can give you someone else and I said OK. I honestly should've just walked out of the store and left. I realized afterwards that the new person that came didn't actually clean and trim the rest of my toes and now I've got uneven toenails and not all of my toes have been cleaned up. This is not a place I will go back to. Avoid and go somewhere else. read more

Not what it used to be. Pros: clean, nail techs are friendly, ease of making an appt, front desk greets you by name, color selection. Mani is usually really good. Great parking. Cons: Pedicures are hit and miss depending on who you get. Sometimes it feels rushed and other times inconsistent polish job. Gel removal is aggressive and damaging so now when I get gel I remove it before my appt. Recently a lot of turnover and the nail techs that I like have departed (Diem is still there though!). 12.28.25 - gel mani w/Mai was great. That woman who did my pedi left my nails a mess. She did so much touch up with acetone that it left my feet and cuticles dry and ashy and somehow it was still polish everywhere. Clearly, I'll have to remove this. I wish all techs were good like before. It's uncomfortable to have to call out someone's bad job while they're standing there waiting on a tip. read more

Told the receptionist I need someone who doesn't overly buff and file because that makes my nails thin. I mentioned it 3 times so she understood. What did she do.... Give the worst nail tech in the building. I had to tell the nail tech to soak instead of file multiple times. I know they believe in speed but I believe in excellent nail care. Accommodated me last minute on a Friday, I appreciated that. I wish they shared that the chairs were massage chairs, I didn't realize until the end that you could turn on the massage with a remote. I feel like they should mention that, after all it's there for people to use right? It's clean and modern on the inside, which was nice. My gel mani and regular pedi were good though, they've lasted about a month (of course my nails are super grown out now). They do charge $10 for removing gel though, so beware of that. First Time at Happy Nails and Spa I'm always nervous when I go to a new place because I just don't know what to expect. To be honest, I filed my nails into the shape I like at home since nail techs never get my shape just how I like it. Service: As soon as I signed in, they were able to fit me in as a walk-in. They started with my pedicure and then moved on to my gel manicure. Pedicure: The color I originally wanted was too transparent, so they offered to match my gel mani. Unfortunately, the colors were a little off. Gel Manicure: My nail tech began soaking my nails with acetone, but her technique with the tool was actually a little painful and she was scraping my nail bed a lot. :( I wish she would have soaked it off more and gently removed it. I will not be returning. I came in for a pedicure and asked the original lady who painted my toes to only do one coat. She did four coats on my big toe and two coats on the rest of my toes. Not only were they uneven coat wise, but she kept missing all the corners of my toenails. As she started to wipe away the excess paint on my skin, she wiped some of the paint off one of my toenails with the remover and was not going to fix it. I finally decided at that point to tell her (very nicely I might add) to just take it off and I would paint it at home. The manager then came over and painted my nails- which wasn't any better. And I have skin randomly hanging off my toes. I am furious to say the least and as I said, I will not be going back. read more
