Well I'll shoot it straight. The nail tech did an amazing job on my nails and the money I paid for it wasn't bad. However, I've never been too impressed with being forced to do things that I don't choose. The ladies at this nail salon will basically force you to tip them and then tell you that they only accept cash when you do it. That's pretty bold I think. To answer your question I tipped because I would have been the only one who didn't. However, I will think twice before going back and that sucks because this location is close to me. I do not believe tipping should be Mandatory ANYWHERE and just what if someone less fortunate just couldn't would they deny service. I don't feel too comfortable with that. Not sure what is going on with the prices here. I come every 2 weeks for a gel mani and pedi. Recently I've dealt with different nail techs every time I come and I've been priced at $40 for each every time. One of the people charges me $45 for each every time I come so the price isn't consistent. I really just depends on who I get that time I come in which is really aggravating. They also don't do the best job at times depending on who you get. I've been coming here since I was 16 and I'm in my 30s now. I don't know if I even want to keep giving them my business I just liked that it's affordable and local. read more

I didn't have cash for a tip but was encouraged to use Zelle or Venmo to pay my bill and tip without any fuss. Love it! I chose a more luxurious, full-service mani-pedi for $69, including exfoliation and massage, though there were plenty of going-rate, cheaper options. Both ladies were skilled, gentle, and attentive. They didn't rush through the service or hurt me at all, which is impressive because I DO have a sensitive area on my right big toe AND I am very ticklish. Stay away! My daughter and I went here for a relaxing mani pedi and left with multiple cuts, sloppy paint jobs, uneven nails, and a horrible customer service experience. As I was paying I left a $10 tip which was generous considering the experience we just had and the woman said really $10 and I have to share this with another person that's fine whatever. Really?! The salon is very clean, they change the liners with each pedicure, everything is sterilized and of course, you can always bring your own files and polish. I usually go for a polish change and shape for short nails. The Mani Pedi Parlor is next to By Your Side dance studio and they always fit me in regardless of day or time. If they are fully booked, the wait is minimal. Pricing is extremely fair and Michelle, Fairee, Sunny, and the other women are outstanding. I really wanted to like this place because the prices are affordable and it's close to me. But unfortunately, my experience there was not good. I went to get a gel manicure and the next day, my nails were already chipping. not to mention my entire thumb came off. Along with the gel manicure I got a regular pedicure and they didn't have any toe dryers, so I let them air dry. I waited for about 30 minutes and the lady doesn't check up on me once and completely disregards me after I give her my money. When I ask her if my toes are dry, she dismissively says yes and on my walk back home I come to find out my toe polish is ruined and they were in fact not dry! When I went back to get them repainted I had another rude encounter with a different nail tech who refused to give me the original color I had on my toes and even scoffed and rolled her eyes at me when I requested! This is a very racist establishment. I made an appointment at 10 am on Saturday, arrived on time but they were not open. I am African American and there were three other white people there, one I know didn't have an appointment because she said she was getting a car wash and just saw the place.The nail technicians started to work on everyone before me. The one who seems to be in charge started working on my pedicure while she was working on someone else. This made it take extra time for my pedicure. She did not even ask what type pedicure I wanted and they have several to offer. Everyone else was given the list of pedicures offered and allowed to choose. I will look for another place to get my pedicures in the future and would advise if you are African American/Black, you should do the same. read more

This place flubbed my appointment back in 2015 when I was getting ready for my wedding. I waited 7 years to give them another chance. I made an appointment, showed up on time, and waited 30 minutes before realizing there was no way they would be able to deliver a mani and pedi at the same time as was originally agreed upon when I made the appointment.
