I did not like how my nails turned out at all. Which is odd because I only got a regular full set with white gel polish. I spoke with the person who did my nails and asked If I could come back the next day to get them redone and he laughed in my face. Not knowing I would've paid the difference either way. So I guess I will be having to go a different shop to get the removed and done again. read more

They are expensive even by LA standards. $35 for a mani-pedi spa is a lot, but they do a really good job. The staff is very friendly and they are the people's choice best of the beach for I think 5 years running. I can see why.. I've been here twice, both times for mani-pedi and eyebrow waxing. The waxing is always great, they shape my brows soooo nicely and I can't seem to find a place in LA that does the same. I need to keep looking! This time my skin got a bit irritated from the waxing, but that could have something to do with my allergies, not them! read more

Don't go here. This place is horrible. Save your money and go to another place. There is nail salons all along 17. My nails look horrendous. Also, these people are thieves and cheats. Owner thinks everyone is a tourist so they won't come back. If I could give negative stars I would. I spent $160, and the next day they tried charging me $5 to fix a nail that broke less than 24 after. I myself being a business owner try to treat my customers with the highest quality of service and this place is by far the worst. I've been to many nail salons in different cities and states but have never had issues except for here. Please take my advice. You will not be sorry. Especially for you out of towners, please... Loved my pedicure by Trina. She was excellent. They were busy but I still got right in. I asked Trina to do polka dots on my pinky orange polish. She did different sized dots and it turned out adorable. It was clean and efficiently run and I highly recommend Happy Nails. Arrived as a walk-in for a pedicure and was seated in a chair almost immediately. Took about ten minutes to get someone over and started which isn't too bad. Pedicure was great; the woman doing it was gentle with my toes and gave a great message. Nothing spectacular but definitely worth the $25 read more

I have been going here for seven years when I come down on vacation twice a year. I purposely wait to get my pedicures here. They are wonderful. Friendly staff and they go an excellent job. I have done both appointment and walk in. The wait is worth it. They only take cash tips but can do credit card for services. Today Jason did both my my manicure and pedicure. Looks fantastic. Very good place! Went here with my mom during our vacation and they took us right away. Very nice pedicure and very affordable ($25 for standard pedicure). They used a nice scrub and gave a nice leg massage and used the hot towel, which is always one of my most favorite parts. Very relaxing music playing and the staff was very friendly. Bright and clean atmosphere. Wish we lived closer because this place would become my regular pedicure spot. Definitely recommend! read more

Awful! Awful manager - Kevin!! He yelled, I mean yelled at my daughter who was trying very politely to let the nail tech know that she was missing and messing up the polish job! I had a wonderful nail tech experience and I watched as my daughter had her pedicure first ruined and then tried to ask the lady to please fix her nails. Unfortunately she would not respond - maybe because she didn't understand or speak English? Either way my daughter asked to speak to the owner so she could try to explain what was going on and all he could say was she would have to wait an hour to get them fixed - while she was still in the chair. That is when KEVIN YELLED at my daughter. I would strongly recommend you STAY AWAY from this place until they calm down from trying to get their business restarted. We read on yelp that this salon was great so my mother and I went for pedicures and gel nail manicures while in town. The pedicures were mediocre and rushed due to a large number of walk ins on a Monday afternoon. My mom always gets gel manicure because the color will stay on for 2+ weeks. The nail tech suggested I get gel on top on my acrylics because it would stay shiny longer - so I did. I do not believe they did the full steps of the curing process and once again did a rush job. Within 24 HOURS the gel color was peeling off of both of our nails. We went in for a refund and they only offered to fix the nails that were peeling. I did not want that because it may just peel again the next day. I preferred to get my money back and have someone back at home fix them. They were very rude about the request and refused. After leaving and bringing my father back with us, the owner final refunded is the portion for the gel addition - which was all we wanted in the first place. We frequent Windy Hill a few times a year and I will never be going back to happy nail. read more

Came in for pedicure and gel manicure.The gentleman that I had barely spoke to me and seemed annoyed and rushed.I was done in less than 45 minutes. Work was below satisfactory. Wish I could write a review and give negative stars! Got seated right away and sat so long the water got cold, I lost 20% battery on my phone before getting up and walking out.... WORST EVER. This place was dirty and they lady cut me 3 times on my right hand in my cuticles. The pedicure was awful and I am going to have to redo my toes. The man in the first chair started sweeping/stirring up nail dust and it got in my eyes. I was in from out of town for my wedding. My cousin and I decided to try this spot since they had pretty good reviews. We called and made an appointment for the both of us, when we arrived everyone had a customer, which is fine I expect some appointments to run over. What really got me was that we waited after making an appointment and then we both had to have the same person do our nails because the others were too busy. I got the gel polish and manicure, the manicure was nothing like the manicures I normally get and the tips for the French manicure I wanted he had to do over and over again so they were even. Finally everything looked decent and we paid to leave. This was on Friday by Monday my gel polish looked awful and was starting to peel off. We stopped here on during our vacation and had a great experience. I would recommend calling ahead to see their availability. Our party of four got pedicures and were out in around an hour. Slid into this salon quickly the other night for a full set of acrylics and eyebrow waxing. It was super quick and competitively priced. Tommy did my nails and made sure they were exactly what I wanted and that I was pleased with the length and wanted my feedback before he continued. AWFUL!!!!!!!!!!! I live in Myrtle Beach...and I just so happen to be shopping in North Myrtle Beach so I thought I'd pop in and just get a gel manicure. I am very easy going.....hardly ever complain....and extremely down to earth/not a picky person at all! But I couldn't believe it...here I am in a place called "HAPPY nails" and everyone was so rude and so mean. She rushed through my nails so fast that she messed up my thumb nail(both!) because she was trying to put the clear coat on and it was smudging bc she didn't let them dry long enough in the light box......then she mumbled "your thumb nails are messing up because you had your hands in the box incorrectly" HUH!?!???!?!? um....it's not that hard to just keep your hands in the box to dry lol what in the world!?!? So I said "excuse me??" and she didn't say anything....and re did ONE thumb lol....I told her....I would like the other thumb fixed too. (duh) I stayed polite because I just wanted to get out of there but I couldn't believe how awful this place was.....then she proceeded to talk about me to the manicurist next to her in korean.....but that's ok whatever. Finally everything was done because she let them dry long enough....and she said "fifteen dollars" I had PLANNED on giving her 20 and leaving but after this....NO! So I gave her a $20 and to my surprise she took it and said "thank you have a nice day" and just stared at me.......... I looked at her and smiled and said.... "I need 5 singles back please"........ THERE'S NOWAY I'M TIPPING HER $5 for being an ass!! I gave her $2 and gave the homeless man on the corner the other 3 on the way out because he deserved it more. Went with my niece for mani-pedi each. Pedicure was okay, but manicure was horrible. I had two different manicurists, and the owner of the shop did my gel nails, and they turned out horrible. After I left and took a good look, my cuticles were not even or pushed back - they weren't even touched. I wish I had noticed during as I would have said something before polish was put on. Cuticles looked horrible. Unfortunately distracted talking to my niece. The gel french manicure literally started to peel after 3 days, and after five days I just peeled it off - didn't even have to soak off. I don't want to give them absolutely no stars!! Never in my life have I walked into a business and they didn't even lift there head to say hello. I have been here several times and tried to benefit that it isn't a race thing, but it is something!!! I was speaking to the owners son and he wouldn't even answer my question about a better time to come back the actual customer answered me n gave me an I'm sorry look!!! So sad to see 1 minority show lack of professionalism!! Especially when they opened like 10 years ago and their business hadn't taken off I was whisked away upon my entrance!! I usually use a different nail salon in North Myrtle Beach, but I had a gift card to Happy Nails. The nail tech got gel polish on my cuticles and on my skin, so the polish was peeling off within an hour of me leaving the salon. As I had a special occassion upcoming, I went to get a manicure at Happy Nails. I got a French manicure on my own nails, rather than getting overlays. The technician advised this would not last as long as getting the overlays, but my special day was less than a week away, so I decided to go with this option. It looked awful, as though I'd just painted with white-out on the tips of my nails, and they began to chip and scratch off immediately (as though they were painted with white-out!) I returned to the store less than 24 hours later to show them what had happened and get them fixed or touched up. The owner was very rude. She advised me that the manicurist told me they wouldn't last. When I stated that I didn't understand from what she told me that they wouldn't last a day, she suggested that it was my fault because it appeared from my nails that I "work construction." (I don't.) She refused to even touch them up for me without me paying for another manicure. I asked something like "What am I supposed to do?" and she replied that there were other nail salons in the area. If I didn't like their salon, I should go to another one. That's exactly what I did. (I went to VK Nails in Little River, who were very friendly and did an awesome job!)
