I've been here twice to get SNS nails and both times I was able to walk in and get them done without weight. The place is very nice, and very clean although some of the areas around the sink where you wash your hands could use some attention. The man in charge was there and he was definitely paying attention to what was happening making sure the customers were attended to and stations were in order. I've been going to this salon for almost 2 years and they typically do a really good job but I'm afraid I'm going to have to start going somewhere else. The prices are just getting way too out of control, I get that inflation is impacting prices everywhere, but $70 for a regular dip manicure? No design. No tips. Nothing extra? Just a basic pink and white dip? That's just insane. I'd rather start doing them at home than to be robbed blind. It's a shame. I really liked this place. read more

I went yesterday to get a pedicure and the polish was not to my liking so I came back today and got my nails done and ask the Nail Tech if they can fix my polish and they ignored me. they did not even care about my concerns all they cared about was making the money from my nails today. They did not care to fix my nails from yesterday. I would not recommend this nail salon to no one. read more

I was one of a group of four women who received manicures/pedicures in preparation for our up coming cruise. One of the women's toe was cut during her pedicure. She's currently using antiseptic cream on her cut. Another woman, my sister, got an infection in both feet. She is on strong antibiotics in hopes of stopping the infection from spreading. Plus, she is unable to use pools, hot tubs and any other water during our Caribbean cruise. Her doctor explained that this infection was caused from the use of dirty tools. Hoping and praying her infection stays under control. Not sure what Classic Nails uses to sanitize their equipment, but whatever they're doing isn't working. read more

The COVID procedures make patrons feel incredibly safe, the staff was so friendly. Typically I am disappointed whenever I get my nails done from a technician that is not my own- well not this time! Been going here for awhile. Then about a week and half ago I get an older woman. She pulled out a tray that looked used. I asked if it was dirty she said no. But they were super busy. Always busy. Always a long wait. I had my doubts. After she filed etc she didn't ask me to wash my hands like they normally do. Again I was wondering. Hmmmm. Well low and behold I now have nail fungus from this joint. I was trying to grow my nails out for vacation but there's fungus under the nails and on tips of my fingers. She used something nasty and dirty so now I suffer. Please do not go here if you see them using something coming out of a pkg dirty looking. There should be an indicator on the pkg that changed color after being sterilized properly. If it's not sterile it can give you anything someone else was carrying even warts. I have gone here multiple time and never have I had such a negative experience. I went to get a classic pedicure with regular polish and the young lady who did my pedicure did an awful job. The polish was all around my nail and on my cuticles. When I asked for it to be fixed she simply painted over the problem instead of removing the original polish and repainting. After that the other workers gave me dirty looks and I was told not to move or let my pant legs down. As if that was the reason her polish job was so awful. I will not be coming back nor do I want it fixed by them. I will be finding a new salon as this was a waste of $35. read more

It's been a month since I moved into The Lively. This nail salon along with other great businesses are just walking/longboarding distance from my apartment, I absolutely love it. The staff is so friendly and take their time providing what you need. I got a gel mani-pedi from Annie and she gave the best foot and hand massage. She is very talented and made my nails look great. The man who "greeted" me and performed the service was rude to the point that I teared up. I don't get my nails done often so I didn't know exactly what I needed & expected him to lead me in the right direction. If a hair stylist does this, why can't they? Instead I got treated like an idiot because I didn't know like most customers who go every 2 weeks. He never said anything to me other than rudely telling me where to put my hands. He constantly talked with his co-workers (he may have been the owner) in their language. I ended up being the last customer out so it was like I was just "there". It was extremely unpleasant & I won't go back. I hate that because it looks like he did a good job. I look at the service as something I'm doing special for myself, not maintenance. I refuse to go through something worse than a doctor's appointment voluntarily. read more

Horrible service. The personal and the owner are extremely rude. Marking you feel like they are doing you a favor for doing your nails. I've been going there because one of the masters did not a bad job but it started to be ridiculous. I made an appointment and still had to wait for an hour. Didn't hear any apologies. Made another appointment and when I came in they said that they have another person at the same time and again didn't even apologize. Except one master nobody can do a good job. I have been going here for years but the last few months the owner and his wife have become blatantly rude. They seems to be perfectly nice to some of their customers and mean to others. The male owner berated my 15 year old daughter in front of the crowded salon because she bumped the polish on one of her nails. He embarrassed her so bad she bust into tears when we got in the car. Then I made the decision to go from Dip powder back to gel and after 20 minutes of the owners wife trying to convince me not to (because gel is cheaper) she did not speak to me the rest of the service. I asked her to please apply two base coats as that helps make my gel last and she told me it would be extra $5 for one extra coat?! I have never heard of such a thing. I'm done with these rude people. The need to learn some American customer services. read more

Had a mani/pedi done here on Jun 25. By Jun 28th the nail polished chipped off. I've never had nail polish chip off so quickly when done at a salon. The young woman that did my manicure and pedicure was very nice and did a great pedicure. I accidentally messed up my nail and she took care of fixing it. They are absolutely incredible. They are so up to date with all the latest trends, and I love going in and seeing what new things they can do with my nails. I use to like this place, it is nice the workers are very polite. But the reason I have stopped going as of April 2,2014 7:49pm, is because of the owner, at least I think he is the owner. His name Scotty, he's a short rude little man who thinks he's cute. First time he has done my nails and they are bulky, ugly and he was rushing, but that's not the problem. After he painted my nails one got messed up I showed him he's going to tell me can you sit still damn. Im a grown woman don't talk to me like that first. Second I paid and tipped him. Third when do you speak to you customers like that?? I will not be coming back there. Tried to keep the money in my neighborhood but i'll go else where. Had a mostly great experience at Classic Nails a week ago. Girls' Weekend away and we decided to drop in on Friday. They were too busy at that time so "Scotty" set up an appt for the three of us the next morning at 10. We arrived at our appt and were promptly seated. We all were getting a variety of treatments, but I will comment on mine. I started with a basic pedicure - my usual go-to pampering treatment, by "Annie". I was really just looking to remove the dark polish, apply clear for the winter and sit back and enjoy the massage. Several downers: the massage was about 3 minutes on each leg where I'm normally use to 5-7 minutes on each leg. I didn't check my toes until I got home since I wasn't getting a primping color, however I was disappointed to see that I had several hangnails on the sides of multiple toes as well as rough skin above the nails of several toes that had not been buffed . My feet just didn't look freshly salon manicured. One side note on the pedicure review as well. I was the first customer to sit in the pedicure chairs. The next person to come in was sat right next to me. The next group of three were sat directly on my other side. 5 chairs in a row, elbow to elbow while the five chairs on the opposite wall remained empty. I like a bit of buffer - both physical and noise - between me and the next gal. After all, this is my escape to be pampered. I don't want to be held prisoner to someone else's conversation when I'm trying to veg out. Moving on to the manicure by "V". I was very impressed with her, her cheery attitude, her explanation of understanding how I wanted my nails done. I wanted "polish only" (not a full massaging manicure) in gel polish and French tips, but not super white tips. She explained I wanted the more natural shade of tips, called "American". My friend had also recommended that I have them do the white tips "thick" so as the clear polish grows out, the white tips look an appropriate length, longer. She understood exactly what I was asking for as I started stumbling to explain. My polish is now a week and two days old and looks like I just had them done. Still super shiny, no chips or peeling. I am very happy with the American tips polish job! My basic pedicure was $25 and my American Tips gel polish (polish only, not full manicure) was another $25. I think that was broken down as: polish only+$15, add "gel" polish=+$5, add American tips=+$5 ==$25. Seems kind of pricey in the end, but it was a treat on my girls' weekend and I was very happy with my fingernails, so I paid up. Even though my pedicure was disappointing, my American Tips more than made up for it. Regardless, I would return to Classic Nails again. I'd been here once before and was happy with their work then as well. It's close to our condo and they always accommodate our small group so that we can go at the same time. read more

To start off with I was not impressed with the atmosphere of this place or the gel color choices. Was even less impressed with the quality of their gel nails. After only 7-10 days my nails started to chip and break off. Also the gel polish started to fade and lose its shine after less than a week. Needless to say I WILL NEVER be going back here. read more
