All I wanted to do was leave a One Star review on Google without saying anything about my experience... since CCAPM keeps responding in their comments with my personal info and FALSE statements. Also, criticizing the lack of training, knowledge, and socialization I've done for my dog. When I read that then it starts to feel personal, especially with all the time and effort I've put into training her. I did take her to a trainer when she was younger as well. I've raised dogs, horses and cows my entire life! I know how to handle animals. Outside of this clinic she is very lovable and playful around people/animals. (Please see photos attach) You can see my dog playing with Kids and Horses! Now... I'll let the world decide... does she look poorly trained? I didn't fail at training my dog! I took all the appropriate measures. My dog is scared of this vet and I'm not surprised. They scare me as well. I agree 100% with all the other 1 star reviewers. Just look at how rude and unprofessional there responses are. Other's are complaining about similar experience's they've had here. Makes me feel glad that I'm not alone.

All of my questions and concerns taken seriously by the staff and vet techs there. Since then we have seen a number of the technicians that work there who helped us not only with the loss of our youngest but also making sure our other baby was 100% healthy and making sure to cross every base. Although I can't say I haven't spent a pretty penny here, the quality of care is all you could ask for in a place. I took him in for a visit and the vet tech that examined him insisted it was allergies and he was overweight. I completely disagreed with her evaluation but I did what she recommended. Seven days later after providing Brodhi with the recommended Benadryl, he continued to snort. I called and talked to the secretary who was very argumentative with me. I requested a call back. Jessica called and was so very helpful. She said it has to be reverse sneezing and provided medication. After the medication was finished, he was still continuing to barely do it but had improvd so much. I even went out of my way to get Jessica a Starbucks gift card to show my appreciation for her being so concerned. I had an upcoming vet visit scheduled for his three year rabies shot about two weeks later and as was gonna address the continued snorting. Dr K, vet tech and owner of the place, examined him. She was not at all helpful, and was very terrible to work with. She dint care about him one bit and was very combative, continued to argue with me, saying your new here, I dont know your dog, and its not an exact science to find out whats wrong. She dint even address the issue of his snorting and only cared about getting him his updated shots and getting me out of there. In the two times I went, I spent over $500. and he still snorting. This place is a waste of time and a complete joke. If you wanna spend your money on "Guess work" and not on what is exatcly wrong with your dog, feel free to waste your money at this place as well. I always felt like my dog Bacon was in good hands with his checkups, dental cleaning, blood work, shots, and occasional treatment for illness. My previous vet in California felt a little sales-y and got me to sign up for more than needed, while Sunshine was relaxed and never pushed me into anything unnecessary for my pup. My CA vet always felt behind schedule and rushed as well, while at Sunshine, I feel like I can calmly go over EVERY question I have, which is a lot, without feeling like I need to speed things up so they can get to the next appointment. You can request appointments through their site and get a quick response to schedule a visit. They also send reminders which is nice. Plus you can sync up with Pet Desk for records. Pleasant, sunny staff, from the front desk to the assistants to the vets. Prices were a little more affordable than California, too. They sell prescription food for about the same price as Petsmart, which is often out of stock. Only frustrating thing was when I brought my dog in for a routine exam and brought up a couple stool concerns, they were kind of brushed off as nothing to worry about, then he got super sick a couple weeks later and I had to bring him back for another visit and exam, which felt like it cost me extra for something that they could have gotten out in front of. Other than that hiccup, it's always a nice visit at Sunshine (even though my dog hates walking through those doors every time).

Where do I even start? We took our 4 year old Australian Cattledog mix to Foxtail after she started…read morehaving reverse sneezing attacks. We saw Dr. Wydallis, showing her video of Nico's reverse sneezing attacks and telling her about all the places we've recently traveled. We were prescribed a ten day supply of Doxycycline. After the ten days of that antibiotic were complete, Nico had not improved and also developed really bad nasal discharge. After she started having blood in her nasal discharge, we went back to Foxtail for a follow up. This time Nico was seen by Dr. Grubb. We went over the whole history including explaining all the travel we had done. We were given another ten day supply of another antibiotic, Clavamox. After the second ten day supply of antibiotics failed to improve Nico's health, we contacted Foxtail again. We spoke to Dr. Grubb and, based on her suggestion, we scheduled Nico for a nasal flush along with having a specialist perform a rhinoscopy. The rhinoscopy showed no foreign bodies in her nasal passages. The biopsies also were negative. For two days, she seemed to be doing better. After the two days, the significant nasal discharge was back. Nico had also developed a deep, wet cough. We, again, contacted Foxtail. We, again, saw Dr. Wydallis. She listened to Nico's lungs and took some x-rays. Dr. Wydallis stated she didn't see anything concerning in the x-rays but they would have to be sent out to be looked at. Since this was a Saturday, we were told they would likely have results on Monday. We were also given another ten day supply of Doxycycline. This is now the fourth ten day supply of antibiotics that have proven to be ineffective. The next day, we ended up rushing Nico to UrgentVet with a fever of 104. They examined Nico and took more x-rays. Nico had developed pneumonia following the rhinoscopy, which UrgentVet explained was a common complication from the procedure. We were NEVER made aware of the risk of pneumonia from Foxtail. UrgentVet expressed surprise that Foxtail's X-ray wasn't examined by a radiologist and said that given how ill she was now, more ought to have been done the day before. They gave us a different medication for the pneumonia which helped bring Nico's fever down. We made a follow up appointment at CCAPM and Dr. Landry. Again, we explained the whole story from the beginning including our travel history. He asked, with the travel history, had Foxtail completed a Fungal test. -No. He also asked if they had done a Respiratory Disease Panel and Anaerobic & Aerobic Culture. -No. He told us that, particularly if the antibiotics weren't working, all of those actions should to have been done before the rhinoscopy. Dr. Landy mentioned the possibility of atypical canine infectious respiratory disease. When we contacted Foxtail, afterwards, Dr Wydallis told us she hadn't heard of it. WHAT?!?! It was all over the news for a while. How could she not have heard of it?! After taking a couple cultures from her nasal discharge, Dr. Landry was able to pinpoint the issue and a course of action. Nico was prescribed two different antibiotics that actually helped our girl. To sum it all up, Foxtail put our girl through unnecessary, invasive and expensive procedures. She developed pneumonia due to these procedures and had to be taken to UrgentVet. She suffered through months of reverse sneezing attacks, excessive nasal discharge and breathing issues. All of this could have been avoided if we would have taken her to a more knowledgeable vet. I can't even explain how mad I am about putting our precious girl through the rhinoscopy when all it really took was gathering a couple cultures. Instead of the noninvasive method, Foxtail chose the most invasive and expensive route. All in all, it was a nearly $4000 lesson we learned. Foxtail might be okay for your basic veterinary needs. But I wouldn't risk it.

If I hadn't already had experience with small animals, I would have left with confusing information and without clear treatment for issues that seemed fairly straightforward. The staff were polite, but the level of expertise did not match what I expected for an exotic pet visit. I would recommend this clinic for more common pets, but if you have a hamster or other small animal, I suggest looking for a veterinarian who specializes in exotics so you can get more targeted guidance.

They treat both our pets like they're a rabid dinosaur or something. My dog is little and afraid sometimes so instead of treating him properly the vet LITERALLY drug him by his neck and leash out of the room. They called us about our cat and basically told us he was going to die, then we talk to the actual vet and tells us something completely different. They have blind sided us with pay at least 3-5 times. We showed up to pay one visit and it was 700$ extra tha what they quoted us. They refused to give us the paper work the insurance was asking for and were rude about it, never gave us help with insurance. We actually paid over 400$ to visits that shoulda be reimbursed because we spent 3 months trying to get receipts that they literally couldn't figure out. On top of this the front desk is incredibly rude and not there for you help our your pets convenience. Made us feel uncomfortable and ready to leave. They also forgot to give us back multiple items left with our cat and we had to go back to get them, and they threatened to throw them away if we didn't come on their time even though they forgot every single item he came in with. Also made us bring in our cat for an appointment like 4 hours early so they could just keep him in a cage for their convenience. And then they kept him like 3 hours later because people were late. Their mistakes become your problem and they very clearly don't care about you, your financial situation, your pets, or their care. They care about their money and that's it. Do yourself a favor look else where and get your pets to people who care.
