Ive been going to this place for years. For the most part, they've been excellent till now. My dog kept snorting and I assumed it was kennel cough cause I dint know what else to compare it to. I took him in for a visit and the vet tech that examined him insisted it was allergies and he was overweight. I completely disagreed with her evaluation but I did what she recommended. Seven days later after providing Brodhi with the recommended Benadryl, he continued to snort. I called and talked to the secretary who was very argumentative with me. I requested a call back. Jessica called and was so very helpful. She said it has to be reverse sneezing and provided medication. After the medication was finished, he was still continuing to barely do it but had improvd so much. I even went out of my way to get Jessica a Starbucks gift card to show my appreciation for her being so concerned. I had an upcoming vet visit scheduled for his three year rabies shot about two weeks later and as was gonna address the continued snorting. Dr K, vet tech and owner of the place, examined him. She was not at all helpful, and was very terrible to work with. She dint care about him one bit and was very combative, continued to argue with me, saying your new here, I dont know your dog, and its not an exact science to find out whats wrong. She dint even address the issue of his snorting and only cared about getting him his updated shots and getting me out of there. In the two times I went, I spent over $500. and he still snorting. This place is a waste of time and a complete joke. If you wanna spend your money on "Guess work" and not on what is exatcly wrong with your dog, feel free to waste your money at this place as well. Im never coming back and Dr K should be ashamed for the way she treated us. read more

After moving to Colorado from California, I chose this vet from some good reviews online, even though it wasn't the closest one to my apartment. I always felt like my dog Bacon was in good hands with his checkups, dental cleaning, blood work, shots, and occasional treatment for illness. My previous vet in California felt a little sales-y and got me to sign up for more than needed, while Sunshine was relaxed and never pushed me into anything unnecessary for my pup. My CA vet always felt behind schedule and rushed as well, while at Sunshine, I feel like I can calmly go over EVERY question I have, which is a lot, without feeling like I need to speed things up so they can get to the next appointment. You can request appointments through their site and get a quick response to schedule a visit. They also send reminders which is nice. Plus you can sync up with Pet Desk for records. Pleasant, sunny staff, from the front desk to the assistants to the vets. Prices were a little more affordable than California, too. They sell prescription food for about the same price as Petsmart, which is often out of stock. Only frustrating thing was when I brought my dog in for a routine exam and brought up a couple stool concerns, they were kind of brushed off as nothing to worry about, then he got super sick a couple weeks later and I had to bring him back for another visit and exam, which felt like it cost me extra for something that they could have gotten out in front of. Other than that hiccup, it's always a nice visit at Sunshine (even though my dog hates walking through those doors every time). read more

BEWARE crummy vets ahead. Things are looking pretty shady at Sunshine Animal Hospital. These vets are profit-minded, not pet-minded. My dog was over vaccinated on leptospirosis vaccine last year and became very ill. This vaccine was recommended as NEEDED by Sunshine. When my perfectly healthy maltipoo could barely move the next day, I reached out to Sunshine who said it's a normal side effect. It was a horrendous week before my dog began to recover. I moved on and found a new vet who puts pets first and explained the leptospirosis vaccine is unnecessary and could have easily killed my dog!!!!! I'm fortunate my dog recovered but I've since heard of a couple neighbors and whose dogs were over vaccinated by Sunshine-- one was at the brink of death for about a month, another horrific case within the last couple months the little maltipoo died after a horrible couple weeks being hospitalized at an ER vet hospital. DON'T TRUST YOUR PRECIOUS FUR FAMILY TO THESE CROOKS!!!!!!!!!!! read more

I just don't find this clinic to be warm or inviting in any way. The staff doesn't seem to genuinely care about me or my pets. If I have to call with questions, I always get some kind of attitude. I ended up finding another clinic in Boulder and I'm happier. When the staff cares, it shows! And even my pets seems to notice too. Do yourself a favor and find a vet that gets you and your fur babies the way you do. read more

We tried a different vet originally when we moved to CO which we were so unhappy with but quickly found Sunshine and fell in love! They got down to our pups level and made him feel super comfortable as he's a bit shy. They have also always been very kind to us and follow with check up calls after his appointment, which we didn't expect. They show they care and haven't tried to upsell us on anything which can usually be annoying. Great little spot! read more

We have been taking out cat to this clinic for a few years. All employees are great. They really care about the animals. The vets, nurses and front area staff are kind and knowledgeable. I can't say enough good things about this place. We will never switch to another clinic Everyone was very kind. Receptionist got us in a room quickly. Nurse came in for weight and history. Vet followed with a complete checkup. Coral was relaxed around every one which she usually is not. I can't say enough good things about this place. read more

They treated me like I was one of their patients, saw me right away and diagnosed the issue and gave us a good treatment plan and meds. I can't recommend them enough. The staff and doctors really love what they do and it shows. Because I can't lift more than 5 lbs, they come out to my car to carry in my cats and put them back when time to leave. When my beloved cat became diabetic I told the doc there was no way I could give her shots. But Dr K. said I could learn on her dog and I did! Their gentle but knowledgeable approach works wonders . HUGE thanks and a big shout out to Sunshine Animal Hospital in Superior, located right next to Starbucks. If you have an animal that needs care, this is your place right now. We brought home an 8 week old puppy this week, and I was turned away by several Vets who were closed or not taking new patients. Sunshine Animal Hospital did her first exam, and will do her puppy vaccinations, all while doing an amazing job of social distancing and maintaining safety. They do a curbside phone call to discuss needs/information/questions, then the staff retrieves your pet from the car and brings them back out when done. Followed by another phone consult with results/follow up info/payment. Dr. Kreutzer took her time with us, and was so helpful. read more

All of the staff is very friendly. They take great care of the pets, explain all details to the owner very well, answer any questions that the owner may have and they also follow-up themselves (depending on the treatment) to check if the pet is doing well. I was so excited to finally have a vet in Superior, and after seeing Dr. Kreutzer I could not be happier! She is so kind, so caring, and so patient. Everyone in the practice was so warm and friendly -- it was hands down the best vet experience I've had. I can't say enough about this hospital/clinic. We brought our new kitten in for his first checkup and shots. The staff was so welcoming and knowledgeable about our kitten's needs. The nurse and vet both took their time to listen to us and educate us on everything we needed to know. They spent an hour from start to finish with us!
