I have never left a negative review in my life, but in this case I feel obligated to share our experience. A two-star rating is far too generous for this place. My wife took our dog here, and unfortunately we did not receive good news. While that situation was difficult, it is not the reason for this review. What upset us most was the complete lack of empathy and professionalism shown during the visit. Our dog was visibly anxious and frightened, and instead of handling her with care, she was roughly manhandled, which only escalated her fear. I have never seen my dog react this way at any other veterinary office. To make matters worse, we are now taking her to a specialist, and when they requested her medical records, this office refused to release them. That is unacceptable and only added unnecessary stress during an already emotional time. If you have other options, I strongly encourage you to look elsewhere. I'm not one to ever wanna review a company do to a bad experience cause I could have been a one off. Marcy truly cares about your pet and does her best to assets you. But the actual vet doesn't seem to care and just wants money. He ran test on my pet who we had rescued a week prior and said he test positive for a bunch of diffrent types of parasites and heart worms. I wanted a second opinion and took him to our family vet. Doc ran the same test after we had been giving him medication for 4 days just in case to tell us that he has no signs of heartworm nor any other parasites, nor did he believe he ever had. I spent several hundred dollars at happy pets on medication just to find out he never needed it in the first place. Marcy is truly the only good part of this vet office. If you go here be ready to pay more then most offices. read more

If you need your pets records they will not give them to you unless you pay a fee AND wait 2 weeks for it. Honestly i've never had a good experience with them and other vets say they are no good. LISTEN TO THEM WHEN THEY SAY THAT, they are not lying. Marcie does not need to be at the desk with that attitude, she is not professional enough for that. Our dog Chloe suffered a gruesome leg injury and needed urgent care. Our experience was flawless considering the situation. Dr. Ansari performed surgery to repair muscle and tendon and after 3 weeks, so far so good. It appears the Doctor knew what he was doing so we are so relieved for our dear Chloe. She deserved the best. As great as the Dr. was, the staff was exceptional and always put so much care in to keeping Chloe comfortable. I took my 12 year old dog. Two weeks ago. He had a runny nose, a cough and didn't eat that day. Their exam fee was $80...that was no problem. Then they wanted heart worm blood test and chest X-ray to look at heart for the heart worm, a little over $400. Then they said ultrasound to confirm heart worm ....we told them no we can't afford and you already said that's what it is.... They told he would need to take 4-5 different medications to stabilize him to do heart worm treatment. We said okay. I went to pay relieved our pet had hope. They charged $450 for the pills. We took our dog home, he would not take the pills, we tried everything. Then he started to have seizures off and on for a couple of hours. Took him to emergency veterinary group in Katy they took care of him right away, gave him fluids, ultrasound, blood test. Then told us he had a mass in his abdomen and was bleeding into his stomach from a mass in his liver and spleen. We had to put him down. $500 was our total cost... Compared to paying happy vets pets almost a thousand dollars to prolong my pets suffering Be careful with this place, I would not trust them with another animal. It's al about money read more

After scheduling a $45 initial visit, they told me that their fee is another $600 for neutering a 15lb dog but they would give it to me for another $200 off, so $400....They wouldn't even put the quote in writing for me. Claiming that "they don't do that". They have signs all over their building advertising being low priced and their website even lists prices that they do not honor (see attached image). When I confronted them about their misleading tactics, they said that they don't have time to explain themselves and hung up in my face. Stay away from this place! He wanted me to do a lab test for $225 and when I said no he over charged me for antibiotics. Average price is $55 and he charged me 125, and for a $39 food supplement he charged me $100. Yes. It was $385 for a feline cold. This doctor has no shame. He wants to make the money he no longer makes due to his malpractice. I will report to BBB. On top of all that he sold my email address. Now I am getting dozens of pet insurance related spam, but not a single email of the services he provided to my pet. I'm beyond curious. I will keep posting bad reviews until I get an apology. I wanna say thank you to the staff at happy pets vets , I've been coming here for some time so I trust this team with my pet everytime , this visit was pretty urgent, my dog had severe hair loss and other skin issues affecting his health which had me very concerned and needed to get this resolved asap, the vet looked at my dog (Cosmo) on the issues he was experiencing and walked me thru certain foods and medicine he should take to recover his skin and re cover his hair lose , this was a 2month journey and all I can say before and after what a big difference I've noticed several changes in behavior in a good way in cosmo and he now has a full coat of hair , food plan helped and meds helped severely and just wanna thank the team again for getting my little guy back in shape. read more

Only one person at the front desk that I found extremely helpful was Jackie. She was the happiest and helpful person from that clinic. Happy Pet Vets was the nearest clinic and they charged me $115 dollars for a check up and wanted to charge another $850 for the procedure. I understand that we are in a time of struggle (COVID-19), and you need to get by day by day. But this is just straight up thievery and unprofessional. Unsatisfied with the charge, I left for Petsmart (what I should've done from the beginning) and they charged me $20 for the whole procedure... Happy Pets Vets literally tried to charge me close to 50x the actual amount. I wish there were a negative star rating because this 1 star rating does not do this review justice. My recommendation to the owner: 1. Change the name of your store to something else because there's nothing "Happy" about this place. 2. That should have been my sign to run, but I was already there and had already paid the upfront $115 visit fee. So after examining my pet for 3 minutes the vet diagnosed her with a mammary tumor (more about that later) and gave me a ridiculous quote for surgery. Before that though he tried to sell me pain medicine & an antibiotic for $350 (this is in addition to the $115 check up fee). I have had plenty of experience fostering and with my own pets to know that this is outrageous for these medications. Anyways, I declined and went to a vet with better reviews, ended up paying $200 for the check up (a thorough 10 minute check up), antibiotics, pain meds, and lab work (which btw she thankfully does not have a mammary tumor). So keep driving past this place. They just want your money. And when you ask simple questions and become hostile. If you go and ask for a specific test the lady will tell you the doctor has to give the price, THIS MAN makes prices up on the spot depending on what kind of car you drive meaning the more expenisve the car the more expensive your pet visit will be. I was originally hired to be a receptionist but after being there for a week I was forced to be kennel tech, janitor, and vet assistant where I got bit by a dog and all while being an underpaid employee at only $10/hr. This doctor hired me without experience, didn't tell me that I would have to be a vet assistant and expected me to have knowledge of one. The day i got bit he made me put a muzzle on a dog and then expected me to take it off while my finger was bleeding and could've got infected, the next day i tried reasoning with him about it but he said quote "you should have common sense and should've told me to take the muzzle off" as if i'm the doctor and went to school for this. So dissatisfied and upset with this place! Below is their 'affordable' pricing from their website for a dog spay. I understand prices are subject to change, and the lady on the phone mentioned these were puppy prices. Why not put both adult dog prices and puppy prices on the web, not sure...but OK. I get there and the vet isn't even there- then he gets there and sees me after my appt time (there was no one else there) and they charge me $45 for an exam consisting of temp check and heart listen- which is REQUIRED in order to just give me the price of the spay. I'm kinda new to this, so I'm not sure if this is normal practice. But whatever. The ridiculousness is this: the price they gave me to spay my 5lb chihuahua was $610! Then preceded to tell me the vet was willing to give me a discount (good for only a week) and only charge me $465. Now given this included some vaccinations needed but the price is outrageous! I was shook! I mean its fine if that's what the charge is for your services...but the difference from what is on the web is outrageous! A major scam if you ask me- I mean they got $45 from me just to give me a price and the vet never even spoke to me. He would only address his assistant. I should of known better when they wouldn't give me the pricing up front but I honestly didn't think it would differ so dramatically from the prices on the web. Would NOT recommend.
