people think you're dumb tried to charge me so much for basic spays because I have frenchies don't go here

Happy Pets Vets is a great place to take your pet. I have brought my fur baby here since he was a puppy. The service that he receives is phenomenal. If you're looking for a good family-oriented place for your fur baby, this is the place.

I think it's a terrible place, too expensive. I took my dog there and they charged me 125 just for the consultation and a test.

I think it's a terrible place, too expensive. I took my dog there and they charged me 125 just for the consultation and a test. They didn't give me any medicine and they wanted to charge me 300 for the medicine for parasites. It's too expensive, worse than a human hospital.

SCAM alert. I rarely post reviews but I will post this one everywhere. After scheduling a $45 initial visit, they told me that their fee is another $600 for neutering a 15lb dog but they would give it to me for another $200 off, so $400....They wouldn't even put the quote in writing for me. Claiming that "they don't do that". They have signs all over their building advertising being low priced and their website even lists prices that they do not honor (see attached image). When I confronted them about their misleading tactics, they said that they don't have time to explain themselves and hung up in my face. Stay away from this place! Should have never wasted time or money here. I should have read reviews first.

What drug do you use for anesthesia when doing neuters and/or spays?

Hi Michelle, we utilize Sevoflurane Gas anesthesia, very standard in the veterinary industry. More details about our neuter/spay packages are available here: https://www.happypetsvets.net/spay-neuter.html. Please do not hesitate to call for an… Read more

The shop opens at 7AM and I was told I could bring her by anytime before 10AM. The location is really close to my home and easy to spot from the street. Look for the building that say Dog Training in big white letters across the front. Very close to the intersection of West Little York and Queenston next to a small tire shop. Upon walking in I was really amazed at the fact that it doesn't smell or look like your typical dog groomers. It is extremely clean.. modern and minimal in design. Thankfully no pets running around or waiting in the front to be picked up like some places. Prices are listed by size/weight on the counter and shows included services. I opted for an all inclusive package that includes bath, nails, glad expression and teeth for $20 bucks for my 8lb chihuahua. I brought her shot records when I arrive and they made a copy. I also had to fill out a brief info sheet with my information for them to keep on hand. Mia was a little nervous as usual but I got the vibe that they were dog people and caring so I trusted them with my baby. I appreciate that they called to verify if I wanted them to cut her whiskers before they did it. I declined because she's never had them trimmed and I think she looks cute with them the way they are. Like a little catfish lol! 1 hour later they called to let me know she was ready for pick up. Her nails were done really well (low & even) and she smells super fresh. I think this will be our go-to Groomer going forward. They also do Dog Training, Daycare and overnight Boarding. I might consider those services in the future. Like I said I'm impressed and I would definitely recommend them to anyone who wants quality pet care.

Unfortunately, my experience with Barking Life was VERY DISAPPOINTING…read more The day before an important trip, I contacted Barking Life for care for my two dogs. They quickly matched me with a sitter, and I paid over $250 upfront, completed all paperwork, and scheduled a meet-and-greet. The sitter spent about 1.5 hours with me, interacted well with my dogs, discussed their routines in detail, referenced future visits, and left with my apartment key and parking permit. At no point did she express any concerns. About an hour after she left, I received a call stating that the meet-and-greet "didn't go well" and that the booking was canceled. This was completely unexpected based on our interaction. What made the situation even more concerning was that the company initially seemed unaware that the sitter still had my apartment key and parking permit. Thankfully, another staff member personally retrieved and returned them more than two hours after the sitter had left with my belongings. To make matters worse, the cancellation occurred less than 12 hours before my trip, leaving me scrambling to find alternative care for my pets. Also, reunds typically take 7-10 business days to process for a service that was never provided. My issue is not that a sitter has the right to decline a booking. My issue is with the process. I would strongly recommend requiring a meet-and-greet before collecting full payment, or charging a small consultation fee until both parties agree to move forward. This would prevent customers from paying hundreds of dollars upfront only to have services canceled at the last minute. I also believe there should be clearer expectations regarding booking commitments. While emergencies, illness, or family matters are understandable reasons for canceling, none of those reasons were communicated in this situation. Customers should be able to rely on a booking once it has been accepted. Any concerns that may prevent a sitter from completing a service should be identified before payment is collected and final arrangements are made. Finally, I would encourage the company to be more cautious when accepting last-minute bookings. A cancellation less than 12 hours before departure can place customers in an extremely difficult position, especially after they have been encouraged to move forward with pet sitting instead of alternative arrangements. While I appreciate the employee who personally returned my belongings, the overall experience left me feeling unsupported during a time-sensitive situation when reliability mattered most.

At first, we appreciated their services, but over time, the issues piled up: - Inadequate cameras in the play area that don't cover the full space, leaving us unsure of what really happens. - "Pawgress" reports included photos of other dogs, not Crosby, making us question if she was even getting the attention we paid for. - Fearful reactions--Crosby started shaking and whining at drop-off, which she never used to do. - Unfulfilled services: Multiple times, we paid for grooming (including Furmination) only for her to come home completely untouched, despite wearing a bandana like she'd been groomed. Staff apologized and promised refunds, but nothing changed. The final straw? After her last "grooming," Crosby came home filthy, stinking like creek water, and with thick layer of loose fur--proof she hadn't been brushed, let alone Furminated. When I complained, they offered a refund (still not received). It's heartbreaking to leave after three years, but PetSuites has repeatedly failed our trust. Crosby deserves better, and so do you. See the photo--this is how much fur came out after her supposed "groom." Unacceptable. Do better, PetSuites. Even then, we won't be back.
