They were very professional, and overall the staff was nice. My dog came in for a sick exam, and they explained the treatment options so I could choose what fit my budget. I selected three treatments that were each around $70-$80. However, when it came time to pay, I was charged for a treatment that cost $245, which I did not choose. After a horrible experience with another vet in the area, I was able to schedule a visit within 24 hours here at Lakeside. Kaitlyn and Jessica are absolute angels and they validated my feelings of not being heard and concern for my elderly cat. I ended up seeing Dr. Kuo the first time (and have since changed to Dr. Nath due to some scheduling conflicts on my end); and I can say with 100% confidence that I love both of them and trust them wholeheartedly with my animals. Dr. Kuo was gentle and kind with my elderly cat who needed X-rays and a bandage change for a broken foot. I believe my first visit was $375 total, but I'm not sure about the cost breakdown. I have since gotten 5 more animals since that initial visit and have never been happier (even when my father got over-involved and caused some... interesting waves). I will always speak high praises for this place. There is one warning... the price. I know consultations are $75 for a regular scheduled visit and emergency visits are $90, so it's not within everyone's budget. However, if you are coming in for a once a year wellness and prevention visit it is an amazing place and well worth it. read more

I was excited to try this vet after reading good reviews. I scheduled in advance for my new puppy to be seen within 48 hours per the breeders requirement for guarantee of health. The evening before my appointment I receive a TEXT MESSAGE to cancel the appointment due to a provider being sick. When I went to reschedule to make sure I was within the 48 hours I was told there was no availability. They did not care that they left me with no appointment. A professional place like this should be able to handle if a provider is out without having to cancel all the appointments. They should have trusted locums or something in place to not inconvenience families. This was a sign that this place is not up to par. How do you REQUIRE a $60 nonrefundable deposit for appointments if cancelled within 24 hours but you on your end can cancel with no notice and don't hold yourself to that standard. Please consider going elsewhere for your loved animal. UPDATE: Please read the owner's reply. It was full of excuses and blame toward me. Should have simply been an apology. I do have record of ONE missed call and one associated voicemail the day before my originally scheduled appointment. Not two as mentioned in the reply. Also, most of the text correspondence actually happened within an hour day of my scheduled appointment. If you read the text messages, I asked for a morning appointment and then I was told that the first available was now not within the 48 hours. They were no longer offering the 1:30pm same day anymore. Also, I have knowledge of healthcare. Maybe it works different in the vet world, but locums are meant for emergencies and do not take weeks to get. In my personal experience clinics are able to get doctors in medicine same or next day if contracts are already established. Then you try to make it out like I am being inconsiderate and insensitive to a sick child. Not the case; I simply said that places like this should have things in place for when things like this happen. Yes providers have emergencies. That's normal and it makes sense that they will need time off because they are not super human and have families. On the same note, dogs are still sick and need care and a great clinic should have something in place if this happens. You make a decision based on what I've said and what they have replied and decide what you want for your dog. I will not go back and forth. Just wanted to share my experience and review. So far so great. In our initial appointment, LVT Heather and Dr. Kuo spent so much time talking with us about our dog trying to figure out what has caused his sudden aggression. I've been taking my 2 dogs and cat here since they opened and this is the best veterinary care and experience I have had! Both Dr. Schnacke and Dr. Nath are extremely knowledgeable, personable and compassionate. I know my pets get the best treatment here because they are excited every time we arrive at the clinic. Both vets have seen my pets and are very good at explaining everything from lab results to treatments. The vet techs are great as well and remember us every time we come, making me and my pets feel comfortable and that they are in good hands. We needed a last minute visit for our cat Sugar, and I did some research and found this place online! I called and was able to get an appointment same day and the woman I spoke to on the phone (I think she said her name was Caitlyn) was super nice and helpful and got us all setup. When we arrived the lobby was very clean and nicely decorated. She knew exactly who we were and got us into a room ASAP. They even had a little sign outside the door with Sugars name on it which was just a nice little touch. Becky was our tech and she could not get enough of Sugar and saying how cute she was. Another worker even came in to "restock" but she just wanted to see the cat too! Dr. Kuo came in and talked with us and explained everything about how our cat may have gotten sick and how we were going to treat her. They gave her some shots she needed, and she even had a cat yogurt thing that she loved. The price wasn't crazy for everything that we had done; exam, fecal test, rabies shot, and another shot, dewormer, and flea/heartworm medication was about $250. I received my receipt in my email and a discharge email from the doctor with everything we discussed. We were in and out in 30 minutes with a happy kitty. We will 100% return with our dog and cat again in the future! read more

My dog has been seen by Lakeside Vet. since he was a puppy. They have taken care of all his needs, except a couple of emergent situations. There were things that were said and done to my dog prior to this appt. that made me view this business differently. My dog was due for his distemper, so I need to keep up with my baby vaccines. No one responded when I greeted them. The tech took the lease out of my had and started dragging my dog, so I stood up and requested to go in when they do the vaccination. She said I could not. I didn't observe any care and compassion. My dog drooled all the way home and he had a morning appt. its almost 2 pm. and he still will not eat. read more

So so happy I found this vet! I just moved into town with two dogs that didn't react well at all to the Houston allergies. I was able to see Dr. Kuo and Avery the next day after inquiring and they were fantastic. Something bad happened at the last vet which made my dog extremely skittish, but Kaitlyn at the front desk was so patient and helped soothe my dog and even picked her up to weigh her... and she's not small at all. My husband and I took our 15-year-old precious corgi in for an evaluation as she was unwell. The care she received was exemplary. The vet walked with us through the process as we learned that her kidneys were failing. We scheduled to have her put to sleep but she passed the night before. The clinic sent a beautiful card and subsequently sent a floral arrangement to us with their condolences. Never have experienced something like this. We had to put our dog son to sleep and were referred to Lakeside Veterinary Care. We were able to get in the next day. The staff was exceptional and explained the whole procedure to us. Neither of us had put a dog down and this was extremely traumatic for us and the kids. It was very emotional and the staff was very understanding and sensitive to our family's needs. Although we are very sad we had to put our dog down we couldn't have been more pleased with the care during his last moments. read more

After (5) requests of mine, Lakeside Veterinary Clinic quoted spay of my dog cost estimate was 619 - 700 USD. Another vet will spay my dog for 118 USD. The vets seem nice BUT should that nice cost me an extra 582 USD? My advise to all of Cypress animal owners is run like hell away from Lakeside Veterinary Clinic. read more
