We do family movie night every Friday or Saturday, and family movie night means pizza. Happy Pizza has definitely made it into our regular rotation. I do wish they opened a little earlier than 5:00. Sometimes we're trying to get pizza and get home to start the movie around that time, so the timing can be a little tricky. But I can't complain about the food or the service. Both have always been good. They change up the menu occasionally, and we really like the BBQ pizza and cheese sticks. One thing I especially appreciate is that they offer gluten-free pizza and actually ask whether you're ordering it because of an intolerance or just a preference. It's a small detail, but a good one. It is a food truck, so when they get backed up, expect to wait a little while. But the pizza is good, wood-fired, and worth the wait. If you're hanging out at Barrow, it's also a great spot to grab some cheese sticks or a pretzel to go with your beer while you sit outside under the pavilion. Good local pizza spot that we'll continue keeping in the family movie-night rotation. read more

Eaten here a number of times over a few years. Great ambience with live music on weekends. The excellent brewery next door is a plus. Pizza: Great crust. Great overall taste. Good ingredients but very, very sparse-some pieces down have a single sausage or mushroom etc. Good pizza selection with good ingredient combinations, but again, not many of the ingredients actually on the pizza. Located in the Barrow brewing co. lot lies this cute little red food truck. The gal at the window was super nice and took our order swiftly. We grabbed beers while waiting for our order, which was completed quickly as well. We were starving, so the pizza really hit the spot for us. I am sad to say that Happy Pizza did not make me happy. It seems like most of my group really liked this pizza, but I did not feel the same way, so I may be an outlier. This is one of the food trucks located next to Barrow Brewing. Our large group ordered cheese, pepperoni, meat lovers', and veggie pizzas. The pizza was just okay for me. I normally really like meat lovers' pizza, but at least one of the meats had an off putting taste. I also really like veggie pizza, but this one was not tasty. It looked pretty and colourful, but I didn't feel like I was eating anything of substance. Everyone else seemed to like the pizza though, so don't take my review too seriously. read more

Just happened to find this place out in Salado today. It is a food truck but has a full brick oven for pizza making. The pizza was great. My wife and daughter got a white pie and I went with the traditional pepperoni. The pizza came out super quick and made to order. Very good crust and great all around. Forgot to mention it was less than $13 for each pizza. I have paid a lot more for not so great pizzas. Also this food area has great shade and plenty of tables. We came to Texas to visit our son and wife . We wanted pizza so he said follow us. Thirty minutes away from Round Rock we ended up in a beautiful picnic area. This pizza was the best we had in a long time. I love pizza and this was good pizza. The dough and the brick oven added flavor. The prices were very good. We travel a lot and my wife and I were so impressed. My son said that's why he brought us here. Live music, next to a beautiful park and river. Covered patio. In Salado, next to Barrows Brewery and Salado Creek. We had the Margharita, Pepperoni and BBQ chicken pizzas. All were up to expectations for a really good pizza spot and beyond what you'd hope for in a food truck. You can order through the Barrows Brewery website. Super nice people and a fun location to social distance but still enjoy the sound of people having fun! read more

We saw this little gem last weekend while tasting the beer at Barrow Brewing (also great!). Due to the Christmas stroll we didn't get to try any pizza, since it was so busy! We came back a week later to try more beer and finally got a chance to try the pizza. Wow! I'm not a pizza lover like some people, but I could eat the pizza here daily. It's extremely delicious! We ordered four different kinds, but I can't remember the names. The customer service was great and we had our pizza in no time, fresh out of the oven. Definitely give this place a try! I've had the Happy Pizza food truck about three times & the reason I rate it only 3 stars is based on my most recent visit. The first time I had it, I really enjoyed it, was Salado Stroll 2018, again in summer of 2019 & the third today Dec. 13th 2019 @ the Salado Stroll. This time the pizza was much heavier. My fiancé ordered Hallelujah Jalapeño & ordered extra jalapeños, which were not added. He still enjoyed his pizza, great flavor, good crust. I ordered the Pilot. There was an over abundance of cheese, so heavy that it soaked the pizza's underside turning the center of my pizza to mush. The grease couldn't be sopped up with multiple napkins & you definitely can't eat more than one or two pieces max because the cheese is so heavy, it'll make the most iron stomach hurt. Note to self: be sure to order HALF cheese on this pizza every time moving forward. read more

Happy Pizza is actually a food truck, located on the grassy banks of the Salado Creek in Salado, Texas. Surprisingly, they had excellent pizza...some of the best I've enjoyed in a while! They have several choices of very nice thin crust pizza. We ordered before we left the hotel, so it was ready minutes after we arrived. On the creek banks, there are many permanent picnic tables, spaced at a good social distance, where we enjoyed our pizza. Should change the name from Happy Pizza to "Slow pizza" ordered a simple cheese pizza. Took 45 mins and overall once got the pizza was served on cardboard like a Digiorno and was nothing special. I had to wait over an hour and had to ask about my order after seeing several other patrons that ordered after me receive their meal first. Great quality, great taste! The crust is crunchy on the bottom but also light and fluffy. Sauce is a nice mellow note between tangy and sweet.
