Fire Street Pizza is literally in the middle of farmlands. The drive is worth it when you're a pizza lover. That's me! They serve some interesting preset pies, but bake them in the traditional Napoletani way. Thin crust with tasty ingredients and a drizzled sauce make a party of flavors in your mouth. Its bar offers local IPAs and flights for the undecided. Inside, the decor isn't quite country, however it's fun and musically eclectic. I was told the owner loved collecting and had a bunch of nostalgic vinyls. I actually wish some of them were spun or maybe have a DJ on certain nights. There's daily entrainment anyway and elevated TVs. The outdoor seating invites crowds with tables made for large families or groups. A stage provides space for local performers and live bands. The vibe's really cool. Fun for kids and big kids lies some yards away with games and a treehouse playground. Their big oak tree is a pleasant shield from the extra warm sun. The vibes were interesting at this pizza restaurant, but the extremely long wait killed any of the good vibes I was experiencing. I knew there would be a long wait to order, and more of a wait to get our food, but it took 40 minutes between our first pizza and dessert pizza to arrive. We think they just forgot about it because the dessert pizza was super simple and does not take that long to make. We were also close to the end of the line, so there weren't many customers getting pizzas after us. We ordered the White Rabbit pizza, which has chicken, tomatoes, spinach, and garlic alfredo sauce. We really enjoyed it, although I wish there were a larger size than the 12 inch as it wasn't enough for two. We also got the Sopapizza, which is a cinnamon dessert pizza, and it was alright. Some of the pieces were burnt and hard. They have a lot of outdoor space, but a woeful lack of seating. We ended up having to sit by a tiny countertop that didn't look like it was designed for people to actually sit and eat their meals on. They had some really large tables for families, but very few tables for smaller groups. There were many children.They had a very loud artist playing on stage outside. They figured out their pizza but completely are lost on customer service and efficiency. Good luck trying to call in a order for this place because the line will always forward to an automatic message, then when you do go in you're standing in line for an hour to just order the pizza. If you plan on eating here in person, you should bring a day bag because that's how long you'll be here trying to get some food. read more

The pizza is good. The pimpchee special is delicious as is all of their regular menu items. The ceasar salad is overpriced given how they've simplified it (it's just salad on a small plate where it used to be iceberg wedges on a plate). One huge downside to this place is the FLIES! They're inside and outside the place and as soon as your food gets to the table they really start pestering you. If they're swarming in the dining room, I can only imagine what the kitchen looks like (or maybe it's best I don't see or imagine what that looks like). Now the only complaint I would have is that you may want to drive under the speed limit when getting to this place or you may breeze past it like I have done.. twice lol! We've been here a few times , watched the great band Martian folk jam out. Depending on when you go , the line gets suuuuuuper busy , so just be prepared for that and you'll be fine . You have to be a member to drink beer there , so just become a member , that simple . The pizza is always good here and I like the local beer selection . Nice little play area for kids. A big tree slide and some large homemade skee ball game that needs some attention. I have been here several times and every time has been very pleasant. The pizzas are great (NOTE: I am not a fan of their pepperoni) but for the rest of the ingredients and/or toppings, zero complaints. There were a couple times where they didn't even try to deliver my pizza and just refired it anyways and informed me it's going to be another few minutes. Staff has always been great and goes out of their way to make you feel welcome and make sure your order is on par with your expectations. Holy moly, I went to this place on a Saturday night, and boy, was it busy. That means it's good. I waited in line about 30 minutes to place my order. I drove from killeen to place a pick up order because no one was picking up the phone, lol. When I got there I could see why. It was BUSY! The pizza is very thin, but I loved it so much. The flavor combos were delicious. I got the north shore because I wanted to try pineapple on pizza and did not regret it. The sweetness went so well with the bacon and spicy jalapeños. Also got the Asiago cheese bread, which was basically like a cheese pizza with delicious robust cheese on top. It was also tasty. Everything was so was so good. First visit to Fire Street and I know for sure we'll be back. Walked in the door and was kinda concerned about the length of the line to order but decided to try it anyway. The good news is the line moved quick and it only required about a 15 minute wait to get to order. We ordered the Bronx the Tail Gater, the North Shore, and a Jaberwacky. Food to table time was pretty decent, with the exception of one pizza which was delayed. When I asked the server about it, the manager came out with it and comp'd that pizza without being asked - I chalk that up to great customer service! The quality of the food was great - good quality toppings in decent portions. All four pizzas were cooked perfectly, which can be a challenge in a wood-fired oven, which can get pretty temp inconsistent. All the pizzas are 12" and they offer 13 different speciality pizzas, which takes the guess work out of ordering. Ambiance - 4.5/5 - live music from THUR - SAT and a walk up bar window for outside diners. Has a great "neighborhood hang out feel" to it. Food quality / taste - 5/5 - very tasty pizzas cooked just right. Service - 5/5 - very friendly service staff. Bonus for the attention to customer satisfaction mentioned above. Extras- 5/5 - large entertainment area where you can play Cornhole, tether ball, etc while you wait on your food. Great experience and we'll be back. read more

I had high expectations for Firestreet Pizza based on a previously positive experience, but our recent visit was extremely disappointing. We went on a Thursday evening and ended up waiting nearly 90 minutes just to place our order. When we finally reached the cashier, we were informed it would be at least another 45 minutes to receive our food. What made this worse was watching multiple patrons who arrived after us bypass the line entirely by ordering at the "to-go" window. They were handed a table number and had their orders delivered promptly, while the rest of us stood in line. When we asked a manager about this, her response was, "They're just gaming the system." If staff are aware of this loophole, why allow it to continue and create such an unfair experience? Firestreet Pizza may have a following, but it's certainly not the only pizza option in town--and after this visit, it's no longer one I'll be choosing. There are too many well-run places nearby that respect their customers' time and offer better service. read more

Yes!! Fire Street is one of those must do's in the Killeen-Temple area. It is a little off the highway on 439, but worth it! Their pizza is delicious. A few things to note: They have limited hours, only open Thursday-Sunday. They open (I think) 5:00 on Thursdays & Fridays. You either need to get there right at 5 or wait until like 8. The line gets suuuuuuper long and you'll wait an hour just to order. Pizza is still worth it, but plan accordingly if you don't want to wait. We like to go around 11:00 on Sunday before people get there after church. There is some seating inside but most of their seating is outside. We typically don't go mid summer for this reason. Been dining here for a while and it never disappoints. Hands down one of the best restaurants in town. The pizza is delicious and fresh. There are unique flavors and toppings you can't find at the chain restaurants. My go to order is The Roman which has candied pears, prosciutto, and goat cheese. The staff is very friendly and they have a beautiful indoor and outdoor space to enjoy live music, trivia, corn hole, tetherball, and a playground for the kids. I NEVER DO REVIEWS FOR FREE FOOD, COUPONS OR FAVORS. The Staff is great. Ms Angie, a fabulous young lady was at the register and helped me with my selection. I heard very good things regarding this establishment 5 years ago, I finally made time to try it out. Here's the review.. Fire House Pizza is extremely expensive, an average 9-5 working person, or lower ranking E-1 to E-6 solder, or person's, especially a family on a budget might be able to afford to go there...unless it's maybe a credit card. If they do go, it might be only once a year, maybe twice a year. Just to go there, to grab a pizza (weekly, monthly) will put a serious dent on a person's finances, I cannot afford to justify going there just because I want a pizza; this might be a bi-annual, but more than an annual treat for me. The pizzas are only medium sized for the exorbitant prices, I would assume that it's priced so high because of the more traditional stone cooked method. Pizza was OK, artichokes have absolutely no flavor, not worth the add-on; won't make that mistake again, they should try to use liteely marinated artichokes to enhance their flavor, otherwise it's just an unfavorable decoration. I got 2 pizzas (Jabberwocky, White Rabbit) to go with 3 add-ons each, ($25+ each without taxes) almost $60- without the tip for two medium pizzas. Like I said, they are OK, but that's about it...nothing spectacular, there were Some fresh ingredients. Waiting time was average for the pizzas. Medium (cup) Drinks, regular (average, convince store) fountain sodas go for over $2+.. I am not sure if they allow refills . Nope, you are absolutely NOT ALLOWED to bring in anything (beverages, water), everything has to be purchased on-site. Service Dogs are allowed, but do not bring any pets, which is fantastic...I am actually impressed, I myself am tired of pretend ESAs, pretend SAs attacking my Service Dog when we are out and about. I would not be able to afford to invite my grandchildren or their parents (5 people), it would actually cost myself over $200-$300, that would include drinks, sides extra pizzas to ensure that they were properly fed. I will be actually taking my family out to other pizza establishments, where the pizzas are larger, and it costs 1/2 the $$$$ of what FireHouse Pizza charges, it is a pizzeria chain... They do serve alcohol (signature) beer, wine too, didn't try any due to I drive myself. Again, the FireHouse Pizzas were just OK, not spectacular and if you are a ordinary person, and you have a larger family it's extremely Overpriced. I will not be going back. Too much money for too little to eat. For what is spent I at Fire House, You can make your own home Pizza for pennies on the dollar and you can pay a whole lot less, and your family will love you even more for it. Okay, so this place is both an inside and outside dining experience on its own. The area is a big playground for the kids with games and climbing gyms for them to be entertained with. Inside is the menus and some bench picnic type seating. It's low key casual and a fun place. They have a live band at times I do believe although I've never been there for that: The pizzas are handmade fresh right there. I've had the think crust cheese and it was excellent. Sadly I don't eat pizza now so I have not been back. The beer is good!! Cold and fresh. Full soda fountain. Lemonade and ice tea as well, or at least the last time I went there. Staff was friendly and very helpful to new comers. Clean. Well kept. And great for family and friends to meet up. My husband and I chose Fire Street Pizza for date night. We waited roughly 20 minutes for our pizzas, but the pizza is worth the wait. He ordered the Brooklyn and I ordered the Jabbereocky. I had contemplated taking pictures but I was hungry and wanted my pizza. The restaurant has activities that you can do outside and has live music in the evenings. This is THE place to go for relaxed, but excellent ambiance, plus a fantastic outdoor area to be enjoyed by kids and adults alike. Though very busy, on our visit, they had several parking spots still available in the large gravel lot. We walked right in, and, even with a line, ordered in less than ten minutes. While this is sit down dining, you will order first, be assigned a number, and then they deliver food as it is ready. The menu is heavy on the pizza, of course, with standard options, classics like margherita, and more creative ones featuring tequila beef, buffalo sauce, or caesar dressing. Pizzas are a large medium. Serving size is designated 1-2 people, but I would say up to four, depending on hunger levels or if you supplement with additional food. And you are a fool if you don't have at least seven orders of the asiago garlic bread. My goodness, that stuff is heavenly! It is served with cilantro ranch sauce, which you would expect to be overwhelming with the already rich cheese, but no, it is perfection. I ordered the Italian salad, and all those featuring romaine leaves are grilled. It is excellent, and elevates a standard salad. With that said, while mine was great, the ranch salad was better, and the Caprese Martini, adorably presented in a mason jar, filled with luscious orbs of fresh mozzarella and a sweet but balanced balsamic vinegar reduction, was the best of all. Pizza is not my favorite, but I tried a bit of every one at our table. Each was very tasty with super thin, crisp browned crusts. California Dreamin' won overall fav, but you truly cannot choose wrong. Gluttons that we are, we shared the 'Splodin S'mores dessert, basically a calzone filled with marshmallow cream, chocolate, sweetened condensed milk, and crushed graham crackers. Did we need it? No. Did we finish it? Absolutely! I especially enjoyed the textural crunch of the crackers, and this could only be improved by dark chocolate as it was, unsurprisingly, quite sweet. Food arrived quickly, and on our Thursday night visit, they had a live band performing a mix of music. Prices are reasonable for such well-prepared, people-pleasing food: $8ish for salads, around $15 for pizzas. They had a selection of beers, many local, and some wine as well. Now, to the outside: It is glorious! Even in the cold, we could not help but wander about a bit after dinner (thankfully, they have heaters along the deck). This place is a bit of a drive from Temple, but it's so worth it! It has both indoor & outdoor seating, which includes a cute wall to take pictures by. I usually order the quattro and add prosciutto, which is super thin and adds a ton of flavor. Their California dreamin' is also delicious.
