The park is all gravel which does make it easier to pick up dog poop but makes it very difficult to walk in. Also if it's very hot out it can burn your dogs feet. A lot of the photos showed water so we thought that the dogs would be able to swim but there was no water today (9/4) and didn't see a way to even access to water. On the plus side, there is a lot of shade and trees and benches to sit. There are also a lot of dog poop bag stations, as well as a porta potty.

My pup and I live in NoCo so it's a bit of a drive for us, but I love taking her to new spots so she can explore new places and scents. I'm glad we made the trek here to check it out. We visited on a Monday around 1pm and there was plenty of parking available; It's also free to visit! There's a couple portapotties at the entrance and spots to grab some baggies if you forgot them at home. It's an open natural area so there's signs at the trailhead with warnings of rattlesnakes and coyotes so keep that in mind as you're exploring to keep an eye on your pup. We stayed for about an hour and she loved every minute of it, but it was a really windy day so we called it a day earlier than anticipated. I'm thankful we spent the afternoon exploring this beautiful area together.

There's a small dog area and a big dog area, both well maintained and easy to navigate. The owners here are attentive and respectful, and the dogs are generally well-socialized, which makes for a relaxed and enjoyable visit. Plenty of space for dogs to run, good visibility throughout the park, and waste stations that are actually stocked. Overall, it's clear the city and the community take pride in this park. Definitely one of the better dog parks in the area and well worth the visit.
