My grandchildren love the arcade! Everyone is cordial. Most games work. Great experience!

This place really made an old man regret getting out of bed. I hate bowling but wifey and our friends wanted to go. Did you know they have a bar? That was my favorite part to escape from the wifey. When I was talking to the bartender a girl was crying at the bar. Poor girl. Probably crying because she has an annoying wife too. The food isn't good. It took way too long to get food and for the price there's no way im going again. Also if u want to participate in a sauna and loose weight program you can sweat it out in this place. Invest in some air conditioning maybe? The vibe is fun in there is you want to have a seizure. This is not the place for old people. #yikes read more

Alley has gone downhill over the years. Smells like urine when you walk in, lots of the seats in the bowling area are ripped and taped together. Lots of dirt and dust under the ball returns. Looks like its never cleaned. The floor of the seating area is also very gritting. Always feels like you're walking on dirt. Prices for open bowling are outrageous as well as the prices for food and drinks. Feel like the alley has lost its way over the years. What used to be family friendly when it was Holiday has turned into nothing more than corporate greed. read more

Over oiled lanes , everything is old inside . The computers don't work half the letter you can't put in . And they are over priced $25 a hour for a lane that takes 20 to get the lanes working properly. I would recommend go elsewhere. read more

The food prices are outrageous. For example, $14 for chicken fingers and fries. Last time I'll ever order food here..

They really need to replace the air conditioner in that building. It's not enjoyable to bowl in a league when you are dripping in sweat. I see leagues pulling out in the future if something isn't done. Multiple people have already quit due to the conditions inside the building. read more

This Spins Bowl location is decent and enjoyable with so much to provide. Like the Poughkeepsie location, this one is convenient for those who live in this area. There are a number of bowling lanes to fit many people for a game, and there were no issues for us when we visited. The other activities that are provided are laser tag, arcade games, and also ax-throwing for enjoyment. No doubt, there's a lot to take in. The facility is pretty clean throughout the whole place, and do a very good job keeping it up. Time for a Spin! read more

Went there today. Getting shoes and lanes was no problem. Bathrooms needed attention, extremely dirty and had no paper towels or hand dryer. Super awkward. They need a deep clean, especially on the sink faucets. Food was horrible. Onion rings had no flavor, French fries were stale and pizza was super soggy. We love the PK bowling location and the food there. Super disappointed in Wappingers. Also so much trash outside.... Manager should be cleaning that up when walking in to open the building in the am. This review is for the lounge area, which is a really excellent venue on weekends - especially if you're a fan of live, local music acts. Spins does an amazing job at creating a "win/win" -- a) providing access to high quality entertainment for folks that love live music, and b) supporting the local music community. The bartenders are friendly and responsive, and the room is a cool space to hang out in. Plus the food is good too! I mean, yes it's a bar on Route 9 attached to a bowling alley and arcade - but if you're looking for a weekend destination for a very very fun night out, you'd be hard pressed to find a better option than the Spins Bowl lounge. read more

I was looking for bowling options in the area and saw that this place seemed nice. The reviews were fair and the photos seemed good so we decided to give it a shot. Conveniently located right on the main road. We got there at around 4 PM on a Sunday and although there were people there, there were still lots of parking spaces and lots of lanes open. This place is pretty big and has a lot to offer...definitely a nice way to kill a few hours. We went to the main counter. The rate at that time was $25 per hour, per lane and $3.75 per shoe rental. So the two of us for an hour was $32. The place was very clean and everything seemed to work well. Everything seemed to be very modern. After getting our shoes we were given a lane in the smaller room which seems to be a party room with about 6 lanes and lots of tables an chairs. Though the main area had many lanes available they may have been reserved. If you go to their website, there is a way to reserve lanes before you arrive, which is convenient. We had fun bowling, the only exception was that the lane times out on us twice, when we had 15 minutes left and again at 7 minutes left. Both times, someone had to come and reset it. After we bowled we decided to check out the arcade. I was really surprised at the number of games that were there. There were arcade games like shooters and racers but also ticket-based games where you can earn tickets based on your score...basketball, skeeball, etc... You buy a card at the machine and play as you go, similar to Dave and Busters. You can then trade your tickets in for prizes. Overall we had a great time. Next time I would like to try some of the food there. Also, check their website as I believe there are specials or promotions depending on the day and hours. read more

This place is a lot of fun. I came with 3 friends, we got a lane in the VIP room, which was more intimate then the main alley. We ordered lots of fried food and beer and had a wonderful time. I felt like I was at an adult version of a kids party and it was AWESOME. read more

Went to grab a drink and they had live music playing which was kinda annoying bc I couldnt hear a damn thing but I suppose that's the point w live music lol Drinks were quite cheap and full pours and bartender was a hottie FO SHO! I haven't been to a bowling alley in decades. This place is unlike anything I've ever seen; it's amazing. It has a real family atmosphere, they do have a bar but there's also a lunch counter, there's an arcade area with enough to keep young kids busy if they're not bowling. It's clean and seems to be well organized. Weekends it's bowling by the hour during the week it's by the game. I was told. The machines keep score for you now, so there's no chance of a "mistake" in addition. They even have barriers on the gutters and an apparatus, so that younger bowlers who may not be able to lift the ball can let it roll off this ramp and on to the alley. I did notice a lot of people let the ball drop on to the alley; in the old days you could be thrown out for that. I asked one of the counter people about that and he said that "the alleys are now laminated and almost indestructible." At the counter that they use to provide shoes and things was the old floor boards from the alleys, he explained. They have a Pro Shop, theres a VIP area where if you want a private party corporate corporate event it's all yours. This is a far cry from pin boys and bowling alleys filled with smoke and unsavory characters. You could take your mother here and not have to worry. I was really impressed! read more

Wonderful place for a fun night. Bowling is bowling - lanes are clean and screens work great etc. BUT THERE IS A MASSIVE ARCADE!!! Great new versions of retro games. Jurassic Park and Ghostbusters were awesome. It cost two people $20 total to play for about a half hour at full speed. No paper tickets - they go on your card which is a nice environmental bonus. Fun prizes and penny candy. A nice break from bowling if you want to rest your arm or get bored. Food was great. Not much in the gluten free options for their pizza or wings but burgers without a bun aren't disappointing and there were salads I didn't try. Staff is friendly. We went late when the sports shop was closed but it looks very well stocked. Don't forget your socks, but if you do, please buy the neon green ones with the orange bowling pin decal in the vending machine. I almost did and I brought my own socks. read more

We went with extended family for some after Thanksgiving fun on a Saturday. The people who make the food were not very nice. We asked them for napkins, they were rt in front of the person behind counter, and he would not give any. Didn't want to be bothered so made my mother walk to front desk. When the food came we asked to order another pitcher of soda but said have to go to front desk. Very disappointing that a place like that would be like that. Spins Bowling is unprofessional and doesn't care about the locals , I showed up at 4pm on a Sunday and had to wait until 5pm for a league to leave , there was no notice on the website about a league on Sundays and even after 5pm the employees said there would be over a hour wait , there were more then 15 lanes open and the staff was not empathetic about the situation and did not inform us of a wait list even though we had talked to the staff upon our arrival. Spins bowling is the worst bowling alley in the Hudson valley I would rather play wii bowling then step foot in that despicable place again. read more

Save your money or go to Fishkill Bowl. This place sucks. Went to bowl one game and got assigned to a lane in the back room. The lane next to us had 6 people bowling. They were sitting all over the booth and had the entire table filled with food. I asked if we could squeeze in because we were bowling on the lane next to them, and they totally ignored me. I went back to the counter and asked to switch lanes and they said there were no other lanes available, even though there was about 10-15 empty lanes in the front. I asked for a refund and was told they do not give refunds. Keep the $7.00. This place is trash. read more

Prices were good. Shoes were worn and uncomfortable. I wasn't able to slide as I bowled. Young woman at the counter with dark hair and pink ends was very rude. She needs a refresher in people skills. You pay by the hour and not per game which makes no sense at all. Also the lane we were originally told to bowl at was in the party room and we were surrounded by 3 and 4 year olds which we found to be unacceptable.... so we were able to switch to a lane that was also available when we were told to use the other lane. We had one frame left to play,but time ran out and we were unable to finish the 10th frame on our second game ....ridiculous.$25 for one hour also outrageous! The added "plus" was the rudeness of the girls behind the front counter. I won't be going there again. read more

Just left this establishment. I walked in and up to the counter and greeted two employees with a warm greeting. Both looked at me and continued to do what they were doing. I then asked if we could be helped - no reply. Boy tells us is going to be 45 minutes and takes our name. We figure we can kill time and head to the bar for a drink. Silly idea - waited at the bar for over 10 minutes. Two bartenders. No greeting. No eye contact. Don't think I'll be spending money here anytime soon. read more

They did a wonderful job remodeling this place! It's cozy and fun. I love the arcade, the booths around the lanes and the different bowling games you can play. We went on Saturday night and it was busy! Waited on line for about 10 minutes and by the time we reached the front, all lanes were taken. No biggie-- they put us on a waiting list and said 20-30 minutes. We headed to the bar for some beers. Bartenders looked annoyed to be working and were not friendly. Drinks were good. 45-50 minutes later we were called for our lane. We rented the lane for an hour. There was a huge water spill on our table that was there for the full hour and never cleaned despite a waitress stopping by our area several times. Music and TVs make it fun and entertaining. Checked out the arcade after. Tried to use my arcade card from the Poughkeepsie location but it wouldn't work. Asked the attendant and she said you have to buy a new card because other locations cards don't work there-- it actually says on the back of my Poughkeepsie card that you can use it in the other locations including Wappingers. Annoying but whatever, the card's probably a year old so they must have updated them. Go get a new card and on the back it says the same thing!! So silly. Will for sure go back but maybe when it's not so busy. They seemed a little understaffed. read more

We went to Spins Bowl this past Saturday night for a work event. We rented the VIP room. I can't say enough about the quality of the new bowling alley, service and attentiveness of staff, and variety and quality of the food. The entire bowling alley has undergone a complete renovation and is beautiful! The bowling shoes are all BRAND NEW which is fantastic. There is an arcade (which we didn't use). The VIP room was the perfect size for our crowd, and we were provided with 2 servers who were attentive to our staff, and took care of everything - including providing everyone with individual receipts for their food/drink. We will be going back twice more there this summer with our group. A definite recommend! read more

I was here today for a birthday party in the VIP area. It was clean and the staff was very helpful and attentive. It was my first time at this location and I was pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. The VIP area was separate from the other lanes (which was nice especially if you have smaller children and are afraid of them running off!) and was great for a party because it made it more private without the noise and craziness from the other lanes. The children were also given cards to use at the arcade area which was very nice, all new games and again it was very clean and spacious. I definitely think I'll be returning with my kids in the near future! read more

Had my son's 5th birthday party here. Honestly, the party was wonderful, but very pricey. Great staff in the VIP room. Kids had a wonderful time. However, do yourself a favor and book online rather than through the sales rep, Katie. She accidentally overcharged me, which was fine. I pointed it out. She said it would take about a week to complete the refund. Didn't mind that. However, after saying she would have the refund done, a full three weeks went by before they actually started the refund process. I had to get incredibly nasty before actually getting a response. Rather than reaching out to me to begin with to let me know it would take longer than expected, she ignored my first two emails (which were sent ten days after she said she would do the refund). I finally got confirmation that the refund process has started. She had the audacity to try to make me feel about putting pressure on her and then when I pointed out how she ignored my first few emails, she said "There's much to do other than to try to fix the problem right away." HILARIOUS! Much to do like not contact the guest who just paid $450 for a 2 hour party? Much to do like ignore the guest when she emails you? Much to do like say you're going to get the refund tomorrow and then not do it? Not sure what else there is to do honestly. And for someone who has been in hospitality for years, "all around the country", you should have known to check in with me after the party to see how it went. We had so much fun! I threw my son's birthday here this past weekend and everyone had a great time. As soon as I arrived, I was greeted and given the paper to add the children's names. There was confusion as I thought I could just pay for the extra people if more ended up showing, but found out there is a limit to the number of people on a lane. The manager was very helpful in getting us another lane set up and the staff helped me get all the bowlers started. After the hour went by, both of our hosts made sure we had the pizza and drinks served timely, followed by our Carvel cake. The kids were able to play in the arcade safely (still supervised of course) while the adults began another game of bowling. Both the hosts, unfortunately I am bad with remembering names, were very pleasant and helpful throughout the evening. It was our first time there and it was the perfect place for local friends and distant family to come together and celebrate. We will definitely be back! read more

We just had a kids birthday party here, second year in a row. Second year that they surpassed my expectations. They are super organized, helpful and patient. I was losing my mind with all that was going on around me with crazy kids and my in-laws but the girl who was working the party was cool as a cucumber. The vip room was a perfect choice. I do not recommend this place for a birthday party. We hosted our son's birthday here recently and it was without a doubt the worst venue we've ever used for a birthday party. Despite email communication that states their staff is available to greet guests, input names, set up for meal time and cut cake, there was not a single person available at any point in time for my son's party. I had to make multiple trips to the front desk and concession being passed from one person to another (apparently the bowling alley and food vendor are two separative entities that will not complete tasks they are not responsible for). Upon arrival I was given a piece of paper to fill out with the names of our guests and was told the gentleman would be back for it, but no one ever came. 10 minutes past our scheduled start time at 5:00 and no names had been entered, no balls were at our lanes nor were there any lighter balls available for a child's birthday party. When I went to the front desk to ask about this, I was told, "you're going to have to look around." When I said we could only find heavier balls (10+ pounds), the employee said I needed to ask for one because the lighter balls are behind the front desk. I was flabbergasted. The employee finally entered the names and the kids started bowling at 5:15. When 6:15 rolled around and we had not been notified about pizza that was supposed to be served at 6, I went over to the tables that we'd seen when we came to schedule the party. I saw pizza set up and pitchers of juice. I realized this was probably our pizza, but wasn't certain so I went to the front desk to inquire. At the front desk I was told they couldn't help me and I'd have to go to concessions. The employee at concessions said they had put the pizza out 10 minutes ago. The employee must have seen the frustration in my expression because when I asked why she didn't tell me, she rudely said, "I don't know. I guess I thought you would have known!" I was pretty shocked to think she thought it was acceptable to put pizza and drinks out on the tables (in a separate section of the bowling alley that can't be seen from the lanes) without notifying me or anyone from our party. The kids ate the cold pizza with only a few complaints and drinks ran out quickly. Sure enough, no one was available to take and refill the pitchers. I started bringing back the pitchers for refills where I was intercepted by a bowling alley employee. When she asked how it was going, I said we really need more drinks (pitchers in hand) and she said, "oh okay well you'll have to take them to the concession stand." The pitchers were filled and brought back by the concession worker at which point most of the children were done eating and getting antsy for cupcakes and the arcade credits we purchased. The concession worker dropped off the pitchers and disappeared again. I cleaned up the pizza/drinks alone and other parents started helping because I think they felt bad that no one from the bowling alley was there. I distributed the cupcakes, lit the candles, we sang and as the kids were finishing up the concession worker finally came back to give me the arcade cards and asked if we needed help with the cake despite it being very clear it had already been served. While in the arcade with my son, I was approached by the food vendor with the bill for additional pizza I had ordered. When I expressed my frustration with the lack of customer service and disappointment that our guests had to eat cold pizza, I was met with excuses. To top it all off I was then approached by a different employee that our party end time was about 15 minutes away and we'd have to start clearing our items from the party area. I went to clear our table and was shocked to see that it had nothing on it and our personal items were moved to another table nearby. When we got home, I realized that a birthday card that had been placed in the center of our table (specifically because it had cash) was not with my son's other gifts. I immediately called and asked if the card had been seen or set aside when they were cleaning up. I was told it had not and could not be found. The card had been wrapped up in the table cloth and thrown away by the concession employee before the party was even over. My husband went the following day to look through the trash for the card and speak with the manager, who was the only person that was helpful from this establishment. He genuinely tried to accommodate us by reviewing camera footage and offering arcade credits for the lost card. I have never left a negative review, but in this case a detailed account of our horrible experience was entirely necessary. We will never have another party here again and strongly suggest you think twice before you do. If you're expecting to get someone to assist with the timeline/events of your party, think again. read more

Was looking forward to our sons 8th birthday celebrating his 1st bowling birthday party with his friends and family (2-3:30). Kids had fun eating a slice of pizza and cake and almost getting one bowling game finished until the bowling alley decided to turn everything off, including the games, lanes, lights and heat and gave us the boot because they wanted to go home and close early. (Mind you, I was told in the morning that everything would be ready for the party and to have a great time and due to all of the kids not being able to make it, due to snow that we would be well taken care of. That the kids that were able to make it would be given some free tokens to play the games and make the birthday party worth it and would look after us. NOT!!!! So.....no games for the kids. No looking after us. No time to open presents. No time to play any games or win prizes. No time to mingle with friends. Never again!! Not only did we get disappointed but my son who wanted to play games with his friends was disappointed. Our friends and parents were disappointed. And after trying to have a talk with them about how this was not okay at all, not one bit, there was nothing they could do because they weren't the one in charge??!! REALLY???!!! If I could rate this place less than 1 star, I would. Equipment is outdated, but more importantly, management is awful. Recently, I had an issue with my ball being damaged by their ball return. I politely asked one of the managers, Chrissy, for help and she told me she was off the clock, basically blowing me off. Unfortunately, the poor management doesn't end at the front desk. Eric in the pro shop doesn't treat his customers with much respect. There have been multiple times I've gone to Eric needing help with my ball (one of my old bowling balls that he had drilled too tight) and he has given me an attitude every time; almost like I was an inconvenience to him. Bowling is supposed to be fun. The bottom line is that this place does not treat their customers right and is not a fun place to bowl at. I'd recommend going to Schneider's Fishkill Bowl in Fishkill, NY. The equipment is updated and the atmosphere is much more friendly. I'd also recommend stopping in their pro shop to see Phil Paterno. Phil drilled my new ball and is leagues ahead of Hoebowl when it comes to customer service. Hoebowl is not getting any of my business in the future. read more

First time coming here. Rented out the vip room for a bday party. Everyone was very friendly very accommodating. Room was clean and ready for the party. My only issue which made no sense to me was that I wanted to do a package with food. I was told by some of the staff that it would be less expensive if we just ordered food day of the party. Still made no sense but ok. So day of we got there a little early to order the food which had options of unlimited appetizers unlimited this and that. The girl who was friendly said oh that has to be pre ordered. I explained I was told by one of the staff that i could do it when I got there since I was advised of not doin a party package. They said they couldn't do it. So we just ordered a bunch of food not sure which way would of been cheaper, Package or separate since I wasn't given the option. That was my only issue with this place. Trying to find a way to get more money out of you. Again the staff was nice and attentive so thumbs up to them. Would I bowl here again yea sure. Would I rent VIP room again. Probably not due to the food issue. read more

The new Spins in Wappingers gets 1 star mostly for the bar but I'll start with the actual bowling alley. We came here on a Sunday evening a couple hours before close. Typical pricing, the outside eludes to fun colors, nice atmosphere but once you get inside, the colors are blah and boring. There aren't many extra bowling balls. The bar wasn't in an obvious place and you couldn't see the bowling from the bar. The BIGGEST issue was the bar itself. The manager and bartender Dave W. clearly does not how to pour drinks. A vodka club and a vodka grapefruit is supposed to have a shot of liquor and you typically pour the liquor first and then start adding the mixer. Instead he pours the mixer and then adds a splash of vodka. We tasted the drinks and asked him to add a little more and he obliged but still added a tiny bit. The second round of drinks, my friends again watched him make the drinks (same as before) and asked him to add more vodka. He was quick to catch an attitude and say "I can't keep doing that" to which we replied that he needs to measure out a shot the next time he makes a drink. He was rude and clearly doesn't know how to pour drinks and probably has never worked at a bar other than a bowling alley where they mostly serve beer. Learn how to pour drinks correctly AND get some better costumer service skills. Stay away. Never coming back here and Dave W is to thank for that. read more
