My 1992 Toyota pickup is back in their shop, in Taylor AZ. This is an update of my previous posting... This is the third motor that they will be installing into our one (1) owner, ran great and quite. Took it to Haralson's for a radiator & tires.. Nine (9) months and $11,000.00 later we got it back.. It sounded like a thrashing machine and loud...we took it to an independent shop to check it out because did not feel comfortable driving it.. The independent shop found that the timing was off, 4 bolts- 3 missing, 1 not even finger tight and the water pump was leaking, just for starters... The mechanic dropped a bolt down the intake, in our original motor, the second one they are blaming the motor company for the motor having a grove in it and that is why the water pump is leaking ? Right !!! Now we are waiting to hear when the new motor will be in and installed.. My main complaint this time is The treatment I am receiving, like I am the bad guy ?? The manager (Cari) at the Taylor, AZ shop is not getting back with me, I have called the main office In Sanford, AZ I've talked to Joey (Manager), Shawn Haralson and someone named Chris.. I have talked to all of them, and left voice maiLes.. No one has gotten back with me. I called and asked to speak with the Owner ( Casey Haralson ) a gentleman named Chris said she was not there could he help me, I started to tell him my name and the situation and that we needed a loaner because we couldn't go another nine (9) months without our truck.. he said he would talk to Casey and call me back in an hour, that was two(2) days ago !! I've tried to call three or four times during business hours, they see my number and just let it ring and ring. My advice to anyone considering, thinking or wondering if they should take their vehicle to Haralson's DO NOT. I came in for service based on other reviews from other source's. I'm glad I did. I had several maintenance issues for both of our vehicles that needed attention. The staff were always friendly, personaliable and the interior was cared for with a waiting room. (I prefer to drop and leave to run errands). In short time my vehicles were completed in a timely manner and at a fair price. (my alignment was a little off and I was not charged a full rate for a minor adjustment) I will return for my service needs and I highly recommend this location. read more

Bought a used truck from someone and of course immediately picked up a nail. Took it in to these guys, who noted thwt I had a locking lug nut on the tire. Of course, I didn't have the key for this, as the truck was used. They were able to take care of me without any delay, no damage to the lug nuts or wheels, and not only repaired the puncture but took off all the other locking lug nuts and replaced them for me. This is the second time my family has been here and we've been treated very well each time. Unfortunately I now have ANOTHER nail, but I think it's time for four new tires anyway. Another oil service that seems not to include tighten oil filter or drain plug. The upside, not having rust on the underside or your car. Maybe they have stock in the local road service companies by insuring the blacktop condition. read more

Great staff, friendly. Fix flats for free, check air in tires when needed, very accommodating. Busy place but they work with your schedule.

After a "false start," I am pleased that this crew came through for me on my new tires. Carey, Brent, Josh, and Red were professional, helpful, and thorough. Friendly Staff, Tortoise Speed Service! I had one of my guys stop in to get 2 new front tires put on our F450 service truck. This should have been a 30 minute job. Somehow it turned into a 3-4 hour wait with no explanations as to why or how. All we know is when asked which type of valve stems they installed they had to go back and replace them since the install tech forgot.... The guy at the counter was polite otherwise but what a messed up day this created. First trip here will be our last..... read more

This shop exceeds expectations every time. Steven is polite, courteous and very trustworthy. I've had my vehicles to this shop twice just to fix problems from other shops in the area and trust their work. I've purchased 5 sets of tires from this shop so far and I've had tires replaced under the insurance without issue. Additionally I had a vehicle aligned that 5 other shop couldn't get right. I am periodically in Havasu from LA. I was here in June and as I was leaving my A/C in my BMW stopped working. I knew I was returning for the July 4th holiday. I called and they were able to schedule me the day I arrived here. They kept me informed and notified me that they found a broken wire. They repaired it along with adding freon and an oil change. We have used Haralson Tire and Auto to get our tires and work on our vehicles and been extremely happy. I had a motor mount that was broken and not very safe so they went to the local parts store immediately, purchased the part and put it on so I would leave with a safe vehicle. This is not what I brought the car in for and I was glad that Steve handled it quickly and charged a minimal amount for labor. We get our ATV, horse trailer, cargo trailer tires and maintenance done there and are VERY pleased. We also brought the trailer for White Mountain Open Trails Association in for new tires and maintenance and they didn't have the tires originally quoted so they upgraded us at no extra charge, did the bearings and checked the spindles and we were on the road $100 savings over what Discount Tire and other tire stores in Show Low quoted. Called yesterday saying I needed a trailer tire load range "F". Salesman said they had load range "G" in the size I needed. He said that the price would be under $100.00 "out the door" including mounting, disposal, valve stem, and taxes. I said I would be there the next day. When I showed up and asked for a trailer tire, the other salesman said "this is the one I told you about." The other salesman said that the price would be near $150.00 for the load range I needed. I said, pointing to the other salesman, that he said it would be less than $100.00. He said that he was talking to somebody else at the time and I was told his price. I said it was unusual that at the same time somebody would want exactly the same tire in another load range. They said it was all an understanding and they wouldn't honor the price I was quoted. This all seems as the definition of "bait and switch to me". read more

We have had several great experiences with Haralson Tire! We've put all new tires on 2 vehicles, an alignment done on another and just got an estimate for rims and tires for another vehicle! I have purchased several sets of tires here. Most of the time all service bays are full with more cars in the parking lot. Just like a restaurant that has police cars there, this is one way I judge a business. Another is the price and the professionalism of the staff.. From the manager to the guys in the back who deliver your car back to you, these folks are great. Please do yourself a favor and buy your tires here.. WHAT KIND OF TIRE COMPANY DOESN'T STAND BY THE PRODUCTS THEY SELL? Haralson Tire located at 955 N Main St. Snowflake, AZ 85937 I won't spend another dime in this place! I started using this location upon recommendation from a friend in early 2013 and the service from the manager - Steve - and the rest of his crew was excellent. For instance, I went in once and requested a radiator flush and after testing the coolant Steve told me I didn't need the flush at that time. As a matter of fact, I was good for another 30,000 miles. I became a fan, and trust was built. I've had 3 - 4 thousand dollars worth of work done on my truck at this Haralson's since. NO MORE! They've accumulated a lot of fleet contracts, as of late, and it seems the "average Joe customer," like me, has has been shoved aside for the bigger bucks. You call with a question and they say they'll call you back. You never hear from them again. You call and request a chat with Steve and they tell you they'll have him call you back and you never hear from him. TIRES ARE THEIR BUSINESS? On 3/19/2014 I decided to buy a whole set of tires from Steve at this Haralson location. I was told by him along with another employee behind the desk that their KUHMO KR21 tires were the best deal for me. They had an 80,000 mile warranty. I trusted Steve so I spent near $400 on the set of 4 for my truck. Yesterday - 15 months after I bought the tires and 19,798 miles into the warranty - I was hauling my boat home from a fishing excursion on Lyman Lake doing 65 MPH when the right rear KUHMO had a complete blowout through the entire side panel of the tire. When I got home, I called Steve who informed me that they no longer carried KUHMO tires, because KUHMO was no longer honoring their warranties. He then told me he could order a new KUHMO and replace the old one AT FULL PRICE, OR, he had 2 new Hankooks in the building he'd sell me AT FULL PRICE with the same void warranty as the KUHMOs. Plus, they don't even have my name and address right on my receipt. WHAT KIND OF TIRE COMPANY DOESN'T STAND BY THE PRODUCTS THEY SELL? Haralson Tire located at 955 N Main St. Snowflake, AZ 85937 I took pictures and sidewall measurements of the tire and sent them to a dear friend of mine who happens to be a polymer expert. He told me that the info I sent definitely indicates a manufacturer defect in sidewall of the tire. Today I went to Discount Tire and showed the salesman my blown out KUHMO. He meticulously examined it then turned to me and stated, "It's clearly a manufacturer's defect. I'm surprised you got as many miles out of it as you did!" So I bought the Hankooks from this young man and I got a 70,000 mile pro-rated warranty at no extra cost. While the young fellow was ringing up my sale, he said, "I am an authorized KUHMO distributor so I'm going to give you the pro-rated credit on that defective tire and apply it to the Hankooks, okay?" "ABSOLUTELY!" I replied while doing a happy dance in their lobby. Although they were very busy, I was in and out within an hour. Save yourself some heartache, time, money and stress by avoiding the likes of Steve at Haralson and travel about 30 miles up the road to Show Low's Discount Tire where you'll be treated with respect and dignity while getting a fair and honest deal. read more

I recently ordered 2 tires on Thurs. told to come in Mon. morning. I arrived to be told after my tires were off wrong tires were sent but right ones would come in on Tues. I went in Wed. morning. told they didn't come in but would be there in afternoon so I called & they were in so I went in after waiting they were ready. oops prices they gave me the shock of it they had put 4 tires on not the 2. I said you told me 2 were good so please put my 2 good tires back on.another wait. In all I wasted 2 days of my time for incompetent service. I doubt I will go back. I'm an easy going guy, and my usual form of complaint when it comes to a bad business experience is in the form of a "silent protest", wherein I just quietly go away, and choose not to do business with a firm any longer. But after my last experience with Haralson's in Taylor, I felt compelled to publish my concerns, so that others can make a wiser decision than I did when selecting a reputable firm to engage in long term business. Much like the experience that "James P." had, I too was dealt with unfairly by Haralson's. I had recently moved to the Snowflake area just before Haralson's opened their shop up in Taylor, AZ. Wanting to support the new independent "little guy" in town, I started doing business with Haralson's for routine auto maintenance and tires. I've brought in several vehicles over the past few years, and have spent upwards of $5,000 or more with them. I've purchased 5 sets of tires, and thought that I was building a reputation with Steve and his crew as something more than just another customer due to my loyalty. However, after shelling out more than a $1000 on set of BFG All-Terrains, I experienced a problem with one of the tires that could no longer be balanced after 12K miles, due to a manufacturer's defect. So I took in the car to have it replaced. They had no issues providing me with a credit for the unused portion of the tire (approximately 50% of the original value), but unfortunately the Mfg had recently discontinued the tire, and so that the replacement tire I had to buy would not match the tread and sidewall design of the 3 others. Not good. I asked for a fair deal on purchasing a whole new matching set, and essentially, the new set would cost me another $700. So basically, I paid $1K for a set of tires that lasted for 12K miles, and now I was having to pay 70% more for a matching set of tires. Frustrated that the tires were already mounted on my car when they called me to let me know it was done (I dropped off the vehicle assuming that Haralson's would do the right thing before I returned to pickup the vehicle), I ended up buying a set of 4 new tires. The explanation that I was given was that Manufacturer was not willing to provide any reasonable discount or credit on the other 3 tires, (which were still in great condition), even though they had discontinued the product. The personnel at Haralson's are nice people, but I have had issues with the quality of their work (had to return a car several times to correct a fuel drain valve problem, and had a transmission leak all over my driveway after having it serviced at Haralsons, a repair I paid for, but had to repair myself by pulling the pan and straitening the pan edges that were warped due to over torquing by Haralson's tech). But to rub salt into injury on this last deal, one of the tires on this brand new set of tires wobbled so bad as I drove down the mountain to the Phoenix valley, that I had to take it into a local dealer to have it properly repaired, with only 150 miles on the new tire. In addition, after doing some research on the internet for competitive prices (after the fact) I found the same set of tires for $300 less than what I paid Haralson's. Shame on me... I should have gotten the tires at Haralson's cost, not full retail. I realized that in the end, my loyalty to Haralson's was not reciprocated, my past and future business was not important to them, and that had I continued to do business with a larger firm by driving 20 minutes further to Discount Tire, I would have had more leverage with the manufacturer to deal with the defect situation when I needed the support. I've since learned my lesson, and will stick with the bigger dealers, because Haralson's has shown that their loyalty does not lie with little customers like me. read more

Went in to get an alignment on my jeep cherokee as i've been having a slight problem with it pulling and an alignment is just about the only thing I cannot do myself. I was told they could not align the vehicle because there was "play in my drivers side ball joints and drag link." The ball joints in my drivers side were replaced last week with high quality Moog Ball joints. A drag link is a solid tube of metal which the tie rods screw into, aside from this part also being brand new, it is not physically possible for it to have play. I will go ahead and say these guys are typical scam artists, go to a real mechanic if you need work done on a vehicle. I literally had just checked my whole front end a week prior and it is solid as a rock. Unless they were referring to the typical tie rod roll which every cherokee has, even with new tie rods, which is even more laughable. I cannot for the life of me see how people like this can do business with a person looking them square in the eye knowing that they are lying to their face in an attempt to scam them out of their hard earned money, most of the people in the area being elderly. read more
