The drinks here are amazing especially the matcha cloud flavors and the cardamom based coffees. The dining area is massive and good for large crowds. The ambiance is somewhat loud but manageable.
Went to Haraz around 9pm and it was still pretty busy. We ordered a Karak Chai, tres leches cake, cardamom cake, and chocolate cake. The chocolate cake was so delicious -- definitely the standout. The cafe was beautifully designed with comfortable seating. The drinks and cake were great, and I'd definitely go back. They also close at 11, so it's a nice spot to link up.
Very good Coffee, Wouldn't come back for just breakfast. The flavor of the avocado toast was pretty good. The spinach and meat pies were not heated. They had good flavor, but it just didn't feel like the main thing. I felt more like an afterthought to have food. Their drinks are great and they have specialty coffee, and stuff. I got the Biscoff latte which was really yummy. As well as the pistachio latte. Both delicious. Lots of seating and area to do work on your computer. If that's what you need.

Haraz Coffee House has become my favorite place during Ramadan. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and perfect for relaxing after a long day of fasting. The coffee is always excellent, and the desserts are absolutely delicious. A special thank you to Nidal, who always takes great care of us. His kindness, attention, and hospitality make every visit feel special. Service like this is the reason we keep coming back. If you're looking for a cozy place with great coffee and wonderful service, Haraz Coffee House is definitely worth visiting--especially during Ramadan.
This has become one of my go to coffee shops. As coffee pioneer they serve delicious Yemeni style coffees and chais. Additionally they also have Turkish and Italian styles. A wide selection of Arabic desserts. Their house cheesecake, Tiramisu and date cake are fantastic. I thought the syrups on cheesecake were a bit on the sweeter end for me, but plain cheesecake was excellent. It can get crowded but the staff is very patient and cheerful. As it is a large space I find that I have room to think and finish any boring work that I was procrastinating on. On my last visit, Camees took my order and she is a great Barista ! I also met with the owner who is a humble man in the trenches working away well. Atefah was also hospitable and was kind enough to take plates from people's tables as I was exiting.
I thought i would come back and update a review, since my initial visit i have come back twice and each time the experience worsened. The coffee is still good, not bad but not as delicious as it was my first visit. The environment has significantly worsened; they often let children run around the cafe like a playground. Management & employees dont do anything about it and while yes its supposed to be a parents responsibility to keep their child they clearly just allow them roam and run around like its their own playground. You see many people come in with laptops to work but it has become very difficult. In comparison to Tattee right across the street where everyone is respectful of one another's space. Overall just very disappointed Haraz fell off when they were initially so great.
Airy & bright Yemeni coffee shop with a bunch of seating & coffee options Have a bunch of pastries & a few hot foods as well. I got an egg and cheese sandwich, which was solid, but they don't have bacon or any pork products (which I assume is for religious reasons) I also tried their "Haraz Coffee" and it was great. My fiance also got an iced vanilla latte and a slice of blueberry coffee cake, and she said hers was great as well
Awesome Cortado and Saffron Adeni (chai). Do not miss the Bee bites. Advice: Get honey on the side for this. Bee bites is a soft baked bread with cheese in it. It's heavenly. You need to eat it savory and sweet hence honey on the side. Great service. They drenched my Bee bites in honey (that's how it's traditionally served) but changed it when I expressed disappointment about not knowing it was served sweet. Fantastic space and ambience. Great work guys! Keep up the awesome service. Will be bk soon..
I love this place ! Not only is it huge but there are outlets against nearly every wall, the wifi is fast, and they have delicious drinks !
Saffron latte was really good and right amount of sweet especially when eaten with cake, Haraz latte wasn't too sweet and had a bold taste. biscotti milk was great!! Not too sweet and soo moist! pressed coffee was smooth and bold. and biscotti cheesecake was extremely sweet! hot chocolate and chocolate cake were good! Place is always busy, lively, welcoming and very clean! Service is good and fast! Prices are your typical NoVa prices. Everything in this picture was about $70.. definitely expensive but fun once in awhile to indulge!
This was my first time here and wow, it did not disappoint! This is such a great addition to Fairfax. There is no such thing as too many coffee places :P. As soon as I entered, I had to just take in the place, it was so large, exquisite, beautifully decorated with amazing lighting. We ordered the Harazi Mufawar. I made the mistake of customizing my drink with almond milk and less sugar. I say mistake for a couple reasons: 1) the flavors were so amazing and strong and 2) it would have been amazing with oat milk and regular sugar. However, I do like the option of being able to customize the drinks. I wish I recorded or took pictures as we ordered from the kiosk. There were so may other beverage options, but we wanted to stick with the more authentic beverages versus the standard espresso beverages. Can we just take a minute to talk about the cup, sleeve and stopper?! They were so beautiful with the simple black and gold. We were contemplating on taking them home as a souvenir. Not to mention, they kept the drinks SO HOT for more than 15 minute (yes I kinda timed it)!!! There isn't much to say about customer service as it was basically non-existent and there wasn't much interaction. This is the reason we used the kiosk to order. They didn't greet us or ask to take our order. Even picking up our order was like talking to a zombie. We came on a weekday morning, so luckily it wasn't packed or loud. I'm sure it gets like that during the evenings and weekend. The food in the display looked a bit stale/old, so I didn't order the bee hive but we ordered the Kunafa, which actually was disappointing and stale. I wouldn't order again. The coffee shop is located at a small strip mall. There are two entrances, one will direct you to the front parking lot, the other to the back (then you have to drive around to the front). There is plenty of parking available in the front and back, shared by other businesses. Would I return? Yea for sure!
Super classy vibes! Plenty of seatings with fancy bathrooms. There's parking in the front and back! There's a bit of waiting time after you order food. The food is very tasty and tastes fresh! I can tell that they make everything in house and use quality ingredients! Our first time trying Basbousa and it was a 10/10! I got saffron latte and it has a very subtle flavor (if you are a fan of super sweet Starbucks drinks, you might not like it.) we thought both Basbousa and latte would taste really sweet, but it was very savory. Would definitely come back when we are in the area again :) they also open very late, so if you wanna find a place after dinner, this is a very goood option!!

I stopped in around 9:00 a.m. yesterday and ordered an almond croissant and a latte to go for about $16. The coffee was good, and the interior is beautiful, but the croissant was extremely disappointing. It had very little filling, and what little was there barely tasted like almond. I might stop in again if I happened to be in the neighborhood, but otherwise, there wasn't anything particularly memorable about the experience beyond the lovely space. read more

- drinks and food are ready so quickly - best desserts i've ever had in the area!!! - the biscoff mosaic is chef's kiss - chocolate cake is rich but also not too heavy bc of mousse - bee stings are unique where they're savory from the sesame seeds but tangy from the cream cheese and sweet from the honey! - matcha cloud in coconut water is refreshing and not too heavy, tasted genuinely like a regular matcha latte w less milk - pretty strong! - there's like a random fly or lady bug that keeps running into us read more

Haraz Coffee House is a nice spot with a warm, inviting atmosphere. It's a great place to hang out with friends, get some work done, or study. They serve a variety of unique and traditional coffee drinks, inspired by Yemeni or Middle Eastern coffee styles. They also have pastries and a variety of desserts. I ordered the pistachio latte, which was sweet and creamy with a nice blend of coffee and pistachio flavor. I didn't get a chance to try any of the pastries this time, but I definitely try them when I go back. read more

A pretty nice spot to do some work and be productive. Lots of indoor seating! Got to knock out some wedding planning to-dos :) Solid strawberry matcha latte! I tried just the matcha layer by itself, super bitter, not usually my favorite kind of matcha, but balanced great with the strawberry syrup when mixed thoroughly. Would get again, but definitely want to try their coffee next time! Obsessed over the chocolate mosaic cake, not too sweet approved! read more
Went on a late Saturday night and this place was packed! I was lucky to find a place to sit! Spacious and nice interior design. There are so many food and drink options to choose from- it was tough for me to decide. I tried a Saffron Latte (iced) and Saffron Milk Cake. Unfortunately, for both items I expected an intense, noticeable Saffron flavor, but didn't taste it. The latte was tasty, but I didn't even taste much cardamom if at all. The cake really disappointed me- instead of a Saffron flavor, all I tasted was vanilla with very little pistachio toppings which would've helped amplify this dessert. I'd come back to try different sweets or lattes, but other Middle Eastern coffee shops in this area gave me a better first impression. read more
This is quite an elegant coffee shop. They specialize in Middle Eastern style coffe, tea, and desserts. They may offer food, but I did not look at the entire menu. I ordered their house coffee, with cardamom flavors, and cream. I noticed the texture was thicker than what I'm used to, so I asked about it. They explained it was a style of Turkish coffee and told me not to drink the thicker ground parts at the bottom. Good to know, because I did not know! It was delish. Similar to my dirty chai coffee I make at home, but better, lol. Service was polite and quick. Flavor was great. The lids on the to-go cups were not very secure and kept coming undone. I would like to come here with my laptop and get some work or studying done during the daytime. It's still relatively new. I drive by daily and it is definitely a popular destination. I have noticed it gets crowded in the evenings with large and small groups of peeople getting together. Absolutely, highly recommend. read more

Large and pretty interior! It was very busy on Friday night so a hit hard to find parking or a table Harazi Mufawar - very different tasting than what I'm used to. It's lightly spicy and has a lot of what I assume is cardamom flavor. It wasn't necessarily bad but it definitely was not my type 1/5 Pistachio latte - coffee is on the bitter side. I love the cup and layering it comes in but the flavors just don't seem to balance and mix well. Decent 2/5 Saffron latte - don't taste saffron I don't think but it is a good latte. Not as bitter 2.5/5 Tres leches milk cake - actually pretty good! Sweet and like the soaked cake. The cream is a bit too thick 2.75/5 Saffron milk cake - lighter than the tres leches but also a bit less favorful. Still great 2.75/5 read more
Wanted to give this place a try since it's been quite popular and it did not disappoint. Love that it has a big seating area which is meant to socialize, hangout and is convenient enough for studying or working. I had the Karak chai without sugar, Kunafa and the spinach pastry. The Karak chai was nice and Karak(strong), as it should be. If you don't like strong tea, then this is not your cup of tea he he he. The Kunafa was served warm and it's nice without being too sweet.. crunchy on the outside and pillowy soft inside. But at this point, I wanted something savory because it was lunchtime. So I also ordered the spinach pastry. It was OK and hit the spot for something savory. read more
New hot spot in the dmv is here! Oh boy! They are busy, I am so happy that we have an authentic chai place with gourmet pastries, with a touch of middle-eastern culture. I have been there twice now and both times, the place was booming with great vibes. My friends and my family members tried bunch of things there as you see in the pictures below and they were all pleased. Personal favorite is caramel latte and raspberry chocolate brownie. The service is great, they move fast and keep the place clean. The crowd is a mix of families stopping by for Sunday afternoon chai time, friends/students are catching up after a long week, and/or motivated young professionals working on that side hustle. There is space for everyone in this beautiful coffee house. They deserve all the business they are receiving and hope they open more spot with this quality. read more
This is a very popular Middle Eastern coffee shop that we always see packed when we pass by. The space is big and nice and an overall nice place to hangout. Their coffee was alright in my opinion - not bad but not amazing. There are some better spots in the area for Middle Eastern coffee but I do like the aesthetic/atmosphere of the place. This was also my first time trying Dubai chocolate and I absolutely loved it! I can see why there is so much hype for it now. The place was very spacious, good for gatherings and to get some work done. It does get pretty loud during the post dinner time but I also have gone when it was more quiet around 6pm. They also have 2 WiFi's which sometimes work and sometimes don't (maybe when there's too many people on the WiFi) I suggest switching between the 2 with same password to see if they work. The drinks were a little on the pricier side in my opinion but they sure are Instagram worthy! Pistachio latte was similar to my fav at shotted but less sweet. Dragonfruit matcha latte (subbed with coconut milk) was very refreshing. read more
Haraz Cafe is what happens when a fashion boutique decides it's bored and starts selling lattes. Huge space, neon-loud décor, plenty of seats -- and prices that make you think they charge extra for the attitude. The service? Imagine baristas who look at you like you just asked them to explain quantum physics. Not rude, just way too cool to actually engage. I asked about desserts I'd never seen before and got blank stares like, "Lady... you don't know??" No, sorry, I left my "Trendy Dessert Dictionary" at home. Coffee: solid 8/10, but not a life-changing sip. Pistachio milk cake: think tres leches on a sugar bender -- moist, but so sweet it should come with a dentist referral. The Dubai chocolate bar? Wrapped in gold, hollow inside... basically a $10 metaphor for this café. Overall: Haraz is a hype machine -- big space, Insta-worthy aesthetic, but desserts taste like the service: pretty on the outside, empty in the middle. I've been looking forward to visiting this cafe and was thoroughly impressed by the ambiance when I first walked in. It's a clean, shiny, and spacious coffee house with ample seating. I went on a Sunday night and it was pretty crowded, but I was able to find a spot to sit. The dessert and drink menu are pretty extensive. We ordered the bee bites plus the karak chai. The food arrived pretty quickly (they give you a buzzer to let you know when your food/drinks are ready for pickup). I really enjoyed the karak chai and would recommend reducing the sugar as it was still tasty and had a light sweetness to it. I didn't love the bee bites, but it was something new to try. I probably would've wanted a bit more of the cream filling, but I liked that it wasn't overly sweet. The prices are slightly steep, so it's not a place I would go without, but it was a nice treat on a Sunday night. read more
I noticed Haraz Coffee House as I was driving through the City of Fairfax last week (Late June 2025). So I have to check out and experience all coffee shops - I knew I would be back! The only drawback to this location is the parking - I did not have a problem getting a parking spot, but I can see where at times, this could be a challenge. The inside is huge - there is a ton of seating, and of course free WiFi is available to work and such. I ordered the largest cold brew they had listed on the menu - which is only one size - and not large enough for my tastes. I mentioned this to the young lady taking my order - she went and got a larger cup that they use for some other drinks - and I told her that would be better. She advised there would be an incremental up charge - which I would expect. So I went with that. I wanted to order a breakfast sandwich, but they do not offer that. They had a couple of pastry options, but I passed on that. They gave me a small token which lights up and vibrates once your order is ready - which was less than 5 minutes. Great service and a nice ambiance. It's huge inside, therefore suitable for you to meet with friends. The walls in the back are adorned with what looks to be hand painted water colors. Very pretty. Here's we enjoyed: Kunefa - crispy vermicelli noodles sweeter and dusted w pistachio. Warm savory cheese tucked inside. Delightful! Drip coffee - it's $6 but they give it to you with a mug and carafe that two could share. The coffee was also very good. Iced pistachio latte - I've had the one from Shotted but THIS one was a perfectly balanced. The bitterness of the espresso with the real pistachio paste and the creamy milk... omg this is my new FAVORITE beverage. read more
Drinks: Pistachio Latte - 5/5 Loved how you could see the espresso layer and the pistachio layer. It's nutty but not in its consistency. I've gotten this drink at our cafes, but this one, has been the best in taste and texture. (Order: iced pistachio latte with regular sweetener and almond milk) Saffron latte - 4/5 I ordered this drink based off another yelp review I saw! Haha! The saffron is an acquired taste for me, but my fiance really liked it. It's fresh and floral, and again the texture is unnoticeable, which we like. It is also not too sweet. (Order: iced saffron latte with regular sweetener and almond milk) Ambience: It is my first time officially ordering and sitting down for the full ambience. I love the low lighting, the decor, and how spacious everything is. It is a great spot to meet with friends, study, or read! I really wanted a cozy spot, but those seem coveted! Very nice!! Pricing: We got two drinks and the total was $20! It is pricey! I love supporting POC owned spots, but it can get expensive. Nevertheless, what a cute Turkish cafe in Fairfax! read more

The inside is beautiful, spacious, and perfect for collaborating in groups. There is a front and a back entrance with parking. The bathrooms are clean. The service was fast. The line was long but moved very quickly. They had several people working behind the bar and cleaning tables. They were all communicating well to support each other. A well oiled machine. The coffee was different. It was VERY hot. To the point of needing to be double cupped and sleeved. It took over 30 min before we could try it. Almost too much for us. But the time it was ready, it has developed the sediment at the bottom so the flavor was grainy. They are still new so I will give them another shot but for the prices, it should be a bit better. read more
A hidden gem! We got the Turkish coffee and the saffron honey latte (with almond milk), and both were so good. This was our first time having this style of coffee in the U.S., and we were seriously impressed. The coffee is rich and creamy, and the spices give it so much depth--no need for those syrupy add-ins most cafes rely on. Service was super friendly and welcoming, and the space itself is gorgeous. Plenty of comfy seating, lots of natural light, and every corner looks like it came out of a Pinterest board. Perfect spot to relax, catch up, or just vibe with a good cup. read more

Truly my favorite coffee shop in the DMV. Every time I've gotten the salted caramel latte (never misses), while my friends have gotten the SF vanilla latte, pistachio latte, & habibi latte. All have been 10/10's! I've brought numerous friends here to chat, hangout, and even do school work! Many outlets and seating spots for a WFH location. Haraz Coffee House is a middle eastern chai/coffee place that serves desserts and some savory snacks. There's limited parking in the free lot in front of the location. The ambiance is bright, aesthetic, and great for catching up with friends or just getting work done at a cafe. The service was quick, you can order with the baristas and they hand you a buzzer for when your food is ready. The chai and food came out relatively quickly. The chai was flavorful and came out at the perfect temperature. The presentation of the medium pot was also cute. The spinach fatayer was salty and was very cold in the middle. The dubai chocolate mosaic cake tasted yummy, chocolately, and had a good texture. Overall, the prices were reasonable for the area, but were kinda expensive for the quality of food. Great ambiance and excellent hangout place for the friends & family! The menu offerings are appealing with good mix of sweet bites. We tried their Haraz and Pistachio Lattes along with pistachio milk cake. The latté were just okay, but milk cake was very tasty. Perhaps they need to somehow rearrange their seating setup with tables for 2s & 4s in front while bigger tables at the back. The ordering queue and pick spots need to move as well as sometimes you find people standing over your shoulder next to the tables. read more
Oh my gosh! I am saddened the reviews are as low as they are, but maybe I went around a pretty good day? It was steady, but the actual cafe is HUGE! So there was a lot of space for the crowd, more than enough, and bigger than a lot of restaurants I've been too. This Yemeni cafe is beautiful, some of the chairs and tables have been ruined though which I feel terrible for, but hopefully they can get it upholstered soon. Some of their booths are so luxurious makes you feel like royalty sitting in one. I can't wait to go back to try their other drinks and pastry options. I got the bee's knees and iced pistachio latte. Perfect amount of pistachio to coffee and almond milk ratio. I am in love with rich pistachio cream and it tastes fresh and homemade. The bee's pastry was 10/10. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, it looks like a bee's hive and has like sesame seeds on top with cream cheese in the center. Oh my is it heavenly. Not overwhelming sweet and the touch of honey was to die for. I want some right now...apparently it doesn't come wanted up unless you eat in the café in a slow eater and I requested it to be warmed and they only put the honey if you have it warmed! Glad I tried it that way! A++++ I SHALL BE BACK!!! read more
