The perfect spot to telework! It is cozy, spacious and the windows let in natural light. It is also not too loud and has a good ambience perfect for getting work done with or without headphones.

The service at Common culture was great. The place was very well kept and clean. Plus, they had a good selection of music to listen to while eating breakfast. The food was even better! Food came out hot and cheese was so melty. The bread and bagel tasted so fresh and it added to the taste of the breakfast sandwiches. Highly suggest!

A Fairfax city hidden gem! (Or maybe I'm just out of the loop). I asked someone I was sitting next to if it was new and she said it had been open for about a year? Not sure. I'm always on the look out for a spot that has good, affordable food, spacious seating, and access to outlets (can you tell I WFH? ). This was new to me! Ambiance-- it's a cozy feel. One of things I noticed instantly was the big windows that allowed for natural lighting to come in. Natural lighting always makes a place happy for me. Food-- was pretty good. The layout is such where it makes you feel like you've GOT to get a meal. So... do with that info what you will. If it had been earlier when I had gone, I would have gotten coffee. But it was the afternoon and I don't drink coffee late, so I got a mozz balsamic sandwich. Service--was good as well! To yourself and independent after you're done ordering. You order and that's that. I'd definitely come again, just during the week / morning (as a preference).

Very cute coffee/study spot! The space is quite big with tall ceilings and a good amount of tables and chairs. WiFi was decent. It was my first time here so I asked the cashier what food he liked and he recommended the mushroom melt. I really enjoyed it as you can probably tell with how I ate half my sandwich before realizing I forgot to take a picture. I only got to be here for a little bit so would love to come again to try their drinks and other food/pastries! Note: the parking garage is on the side and I didn't have trouble finding a spot on a weekday in the afternoon

this place is amazing for both coffee and studying! it seems to be catered towards longer stays, as they provide plenty of food options and lots of seating. staff are so so kind and professional. espresso is not the strongest in terms of flavor, but still good! i ordered an iced cortado with oat milk, and it was delicious. my only complaint is the prices, just keep in mind that everything is fairly expensive (especially the food), but that is how it is, especially in fairfax city. pictured is the chicken wrap. definitely worth checking out if in the area!

I was looking for a nice and spacious coffee shop to show a few friends who were in town, and Common Culture Specialty Coffee was the perfect place to take them. The drinks were good and the staff were professional and kind. What really stood out for me and the greatest strength that Common Culture has is the atmosphere and location. It is located right next to a large parking garage and the shop itself is huge. There is a large amount of space between tables and lots of seating available. It is a great place to study/work in. Admittedly, I am not a coffee person (too sensitive to caffeine) so I did not get any coffee drinks, but I did get the Butterfly Lemonade and that tasted great! The lemonade was sweet and tart, and very fragrant. The colors of the drink was also a nice cherry on top. The drink was fairly priced and was a nice way to start my morning. I will make sure to try a coffee drink next time! The staff were very kind and patient, even answering some of my dumb questions haha I highly appreciate their patience and kindness. Looking forward to doing work here in the future and tasting more of their food/drinks!

I went here at least ten times in the last few months to study for my board exams. It was the perfect blend of good coffee, natural lighting, soft music, and spacious wooden tables. My only qualm is that it got pretty cold in the winter (probably since the windows are so large), so wear layers.

This place absolutely does not deserve the low rating it has right now. Every time I've been here has been a great experience. The food is good. The coffee is great. The staff are lovely. The service is prompt. The ambiance is fantastic. This is a wonderful place to visit or do work at. The WiFi is free and works well. Not to mention that there's a discount for George Mason students. There's also free parking directly next to it and it's very close to public transportation. I have nothing bad to say about this place. Please check it out if you get the chance!

I don't normally get oat milk in my drinks, so I was a little nervous, but they did not disappoint!

Having really enjoyed our meal at Milk & Honey in DC, we were very happy to see another location…read moreopen up in Northern VA.  Though it didn't quite match our other meal, we still enjoyed the food and excellent and very friendly service.  The space is in a strip center with ample parking.   The dining room is pretty noisy and apparently can get a little warm when filled to capacity as it was so we opted to sit in the covered outside area to the side of the restaurant.  This worked out really well.  We ordered the milk & honey latte which was amazing at the DC location.  Here, it was good but just a little sweeter than I would have hoped.  We shared the butter glazed biscuits which were delicious and light with the butter and preserves.  Two of us went for breakfast choices with a Biscoff waffle and a honey butter pancakes.  Though it is listed as a side, the waffle was full side and came with beautiful strawberries and whipped cream.  It was a tiny bit dry but also nice and crispy.  When eaten with the whipped cream it was great and the Biscoff cookie on top was a yummy topper.  The pancakes were like Dutch baby ones - really tall.  The serving was really generous and we ended up taking one home.  The gumbo must have been really good because my dining partner ate it all down before I could get a taste   Our server was very friendly and helpful.  And, even though she was super busy, we never felt at all ignored.  Welcome to VA Milk & Honey!  We are so glad you are here!

We ordered the breakfast burrito, pancake combo, and waffle combo. The breakfast burrito was hot and well assembled. The pancakes were light and fluffy. The Belgian waffle was also good. The combos came with a small side of fresh and delicious fruit. We had an amazing server named Darlene. She was super friendly and funny, and very attentive to our needs. Highly recommend asking for Darlene when you come! The ambiance is super cool. It's like a farmhouse with a little groove!! The positives first: the restaurant is attractive inside, the staff was genuinely friendly, and the food itself was good. My chicken fajita omelet was flavorful, although it contained surprisingly little chicken. Everyone at the table seemed to enjoy their meals. Unfortunately, the pricing and constant add-on charges really overshadowed the experience. At $15 for an omelet, the prices are already toward the high end for breakfast. Then there are extra charges for things that feel like they should be included. Real maple syrup is an additional $1.50, and coffee was an eye-popping $4 per cup. Looking at our receipt afterward, it really felt like we were being nickel-and-dimed. The biggest surprise was the 3% credit card surcharge. In 2026, charging customers extra for paying with a credit card feels outdated. Very few people carry enough cash to cover a $100 breakfast meeting, so it comes across as another hidden fee rather than a genuine choice. One other odd thing I noticed was the floor. Whenever someone heavier walked through the dining room, the entire floor visibly bounced. It wasn't unsafe as far as I could tell, but it was noticeable enough to the table to be distracting throughout the meal. I wanted to like this place because the atmosphere, service, and food were all solid. But between the high menu prices, the extra charges, and the credit card fee, I left feeling like the value just wasn't there. Unless the pricing structure changes, I don't expect to return.
